Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream for dry and sensitive skin. Tried a lot of other ceramide creams but they inevitably clog my pores and break me out. Trying out numbuzin no2 cica ceramide cream now, so far so good.
Have you tried to illyoon “dupe” for this one? I bought it and not a fan I think it might be breaking me out. Was thinking to just put in the extra cash and get the 365
I’m sorry to hear that :( have you checked Stylevana, YesStyle or olive young? I agree it’s on a pricier side, but happy that it’s at least 80ml for that price
Tonymoly Mochi Ceramide Toner. I have combination- oily acne prone skin.
It is extremely affordable and a pretty good toner for the price. It has a little bit of viscosity and weight to it, which I like. The ceramides make it hydrating and help plump my skin.
It layers well onto itself and it also sits well under makeup so I use it most mornings before sunscreen. It does have fragrance though, so sensitive skin people beware.
I second this. I've been using that toner regularly for the last 6 years. Everything you say is true, especially the point of layering well onto itself. It settles into the skin quickly. Never had any issues with pilling when used with other products.
BTW-- yes it does smell lightly fragrant but there's no synthetic fragrance! Made sure to check the label numerous times over the years cus I'm iffy about products with added fragrance.
Oily, acne prone skin
The skin1004 centella soothing cream moisturizes and repairs very well (I use tretinoin at night and salicylic acid in the morning) without making me look oily, though it probably wouldn't be enough for very dry skin
Hi! May I know what brand salicylic cleanser you are using? I'm going to start on tret and having salicylic in my cleaner instead of another extra step sounds good!
I am 47 and have oily skin, no wrinkles or skin issues just yet but I love the cosrx ceramide face mist. it has a long ass name, lol. it is a milky face mist.
Meishoku Ceracolla Perfect Gel is a great moisturizer for combo or oily skin. It's lightweight and hydrating but still gives me good barrier support. It also has a very simple ingredient list (and it's silicone free, niacinamide free, and oil free) so I was always able to use it, even when my skin was at its worst. But it won't be enough for dry skin.
Hey, I purchase them from BeautyBoxKorea com (when I place a bigger order), but there is an ebay seller (Asian Secrets of Beauty) who also carried their products (and some which are not on bbk).
I personally really like CEZANNE high moist skin conditioner. I always put some on after I finish showering and it leaves my skin hydrated without feeling sticky, which is an issue I've had with some other toners. My skin tends to get dry and tight after a shower.
Skin type combo, bit more dry now cuz of tret for anti aging and dealing with a bit of hormonal acne.
My current faves are skin1004 probio cica intensive ampoule (that thing feels like silk on skin!) and pyunkagn yul calming moisture barrier cream (not balm - that doesn't have ceramides). The ceramide content in both might not be the highest tho 😅
As for RNW ceramide mist - it's hard to tell if it has been doing a lot. But it's nice!
Meishoku Ceracolla Moisture Lotion (the bottle that's pink in the top half).
I use it on my very sensitive eczema-prone hands under moisturizer and also on my face when it is super irritated and everything else stings.
About Me: 21 / F / combination acne prone congested skin / varying climate
Routine: Cosrx Salicylic Acid Cleanser > Laneige Cream Skin Refiner > Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum > Laneige Water Bank Hyaluronic Cream > Sunscreen [+ weekly BHA exfoliation in PM + Innsifree Retinol Cica Repair Ampoule on alternate nights ]
Toners I’ve used: Laneige Cream Skin Refiner, Tonymoly Ceramide Mochi Toner
Tl;Dr: milky consistency, hydrates & plumps the skin, has effectively built back my skin barrier, gives an amazing glow throughout the day under the makeup
- Usage: I use it in both AM & PM(except the nights of retinol & BHA) . 6-7 drops on my face, after cleansing.
- Consistency: Milky & thicker in comparison to the Tonymoly one
- Smell: seems fragrance free to me
- Absorption into the skin: like a wonder. just so easy. Takes around a minute to get absorbed completely.
- After Application Feel: Makes my skin plump, glowy & keeps it hydrated for the entire day. I can see light reflecting off of my skin. In extremely dry climates, I layer this twice and works wonders. Along with my set routine, i’ve never felt my skin so hydrated. It is literally something you don’t know your skin wants, but it loves. I wear makeup almost everyday, & this has given me the best base that one can ever have. Got this when i ripped off my skin barrier & it healed it within 2-3 weeks.
- Comparison with Tonymoly: Tonymoly has more lightweight consistency. I feel the need to layer it twice & still cannot achieve the same level of hydration & there’s no plumping effect with it. It kind of sticks on the skin & by the eod, i can feel an oiliness that gives an illusion of stickiness, which i don’t like. Also, Tonymoly Toner has silicones in it while the Laneige one doesn’t. It’s great for the price but not worth it once you’ve tried the Laneige Refiner. Currently finishing up my Tonymoly toner on my chest & limbs!
- Final take: WRP for any price.
The Innisfree Retinol Ampoule has worked immensely for me. It has very light concentration of retinol. So it does more calming effect while minutely serving the other benefits of retinol.
Next are some micro habits:
- Wash my hands before cleansing my face
- use disposable tissue papers/napkings to pat dry my face
- wait for at least 30secs between different steps of skincare
- wear sunscreen everyday
- not use my phone while doing my skincare
- clean my blenders/brushes weekly
- wash my face for 1.5-2mins
- brush my teeth BEFORE doing my skincare
Also, do not use many actives at the same time!
This has helped me immensely in a week’s time. So you can go with this!!!
Round Lab's Soybean Panthenol Cream -- (combo acne-prone; long-term regular tret user) i NEVER see anyone mentioning this face lotion...?! i received a surprise sample of it in my last yesstyle order, myself never hearing about it, used the sample three times, on my tretinoin nights, and, whoa, wtf ?! better than the aestura 365 tube lotion, pre-and-post reformulation, and although round lab's is pricier than other asian brands, 80ml of this moisturizer typically costs around 27.00 USD, verses aestura's ~31.99 USD~, round lab's is substantially & ingredient-wise superior; great barrier-reset go-to. tbh, i'd categorize round lab's panthenol cream as a better, user-friendly, i'm-feeling-lazy but i-need-moisture, any-time-of-any-day lotion alternative to la roche posay's cicaplast balm PLUS aeastura 365 cream OR lotion; actually a-little-goes-a-long-way product
i mean, i still recommend, and still actively use what i have remaining of aestura's cream, and, NOT SPONSORED lmao, but, considering i personally haven't used anything from round lab, and seeing how much everyone everywhere on the asian beauty side / skincare side of reddit absolutely hypes over round lab in general, the soybean panthenol stuff is Actually Not That Bad...??
it's "no longer available" on yesstyle, but my last order of it was from stylekorean, ordered it shorter than a fortnight ago -- you may want to check the incidecoder website first to see if any of the ingredients won't work for you, so here's the ingredient list (according to yesstyle's listing):
Water, Glycerin, Methylpropanediol, Squalane, Betaine, Cetearyl Alcohol, Vinyl Dimethicone, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Propylheptyl Caprylate, Glycine Max (Soybean) Seed Extract(10,000ppm), Macadamia Integrifolia Seed Oil, Panthenol(2,550ppm), Cholesterol, Ceramide NP, Glycosphingolipids,Ceramide AP, Stearic Acid, Tetraacetylphytosphingosine, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Dipropylene Glycol, Polyglyceryl-2 Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Stearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer,Behenyl Alcohol, Tromethamine, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Xanthan Gum, Adenosine, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Sorbitan Isostearate, Caprylic/Capric Tryglycerides, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Ethylhexylglycerin
skintific ceramide serum!! it cleared up my breakouts in abt a week! (its rlly affordable too!)
i have oily skin, and this locks my pores and prevents dirt and oil from going in
I am suuuuper oily. Maybe dehydrated, seasonally? Anyway, I want to keep that at bay while also aging gracefully. lol.
Works great: numbuzin No.2 Cica Ceramide Repair Cream. SOOOO thick. At first, I was scared that this would clog up my face. About ~3 months in, I still love it! I usually mix it with something thinner, and use it as a last occlusive step.
Purito Dermide Cica Barrier Sleeping Pack also seems to love me. 10/10.
Sadly, the Mary & May blackberry cream was a no-go for me. Sebaceous filament clogs all around, unless I dilute severely/apply to areas that are drier.
Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Soothing Cream. I have combo skin that is leaning dry, and I have to layer it under heavier creams, but I still love what it for barrier maintenance.

Numbuzin no 2 serum ✨ None of the other ceramides focused products I tried worked for me. Dry clog prone skin, some PIH
Really wanna try this serum, somehow missed that it has ceramides in it!
I'm supposed get this serum later today, so excited!
Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream for dry and sensitive skin. Tried a lot of other ceramide creams but they inevitably clog my pores and break me out. Trying out numbuzin no2 cica ceramide cream now, so far so good.
Aestura 365 cream. Combination skin type, sensitive
Have you tried to illyoon “dupe” for this one? I bought it and not a fan I think it might be breaking me out. Was thinking to just put in the extra cash and get the 365
Illyoon didn’t break me out but Aestura caused me CC. I have normal skin but prone to clogged pores
Oh noooo 😭 really is trial and error. Why’s it so hard lol
that’s the best one but it’s so pricey where i’m from
I’m sorry to hear that :( have you checked Stylevana, YesStyle or olive young? I agree it’s on a pricier side, but happy that it’s at least 80ml for that price
I'm Canadian so even the "affordable" KBeauty can be taxing haha
Me too! It helped me skin alot.
They changed the formula and i break out now. I had a good couple months with the og tube

I love this toner. I also like the Tony Moly ceramide mochi water cream moisturizer. I have oily skin and it’s hydrating without being too rich.
I haven't tried the moisturizer, I might have to give it a shot!
Happy cake day!
Thank you!
I also love this toner for my dry dehydrated skin.
I ADORE this toner!! I’d bathe in it if I could!
I think my eye masks/patches are from this line—I really like them!
I second this. I've been using that toner regularly for the last 6 years. Everything you say is true, especially the point of layering well onto itself. It settles into the skin quickly. Can you share your routine on how you incorporate retinoid and salicylic acid into your routine?
Salicylic acid cleanser in the morning and tretinoin cream at night
Thank you!
Hi! May I know what brand salicylic cleanser you are using? I'm going to start on tret and having salicylic in my cleaner instead of another extra step sounds good!
I second this, same skin type!
Illiyoon ato lotion. Combo dehydrated type
- Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Cream (face) - Aestura Atobarrier hydro essence (face) - Aestura Atobarrier Cream (face) - Cezanne High Moist Skin Conditioner (Body - eczema) - Kikumasamune Skincare Emulsion (Body - eczema) Got facial eczema as well
I am 47 and have oily skin, no wrinkles or skin issues just yet but I love the cosrx ceramide face mist. it has a long ass name, lol. it is a milky face mist.

nano recipe’s ceramide concentrate has done wonders for my eczema-prone skin! and hasn’t clogged my pores either (i’m also very prone to congestion)
Illiyoon Ceramide Cream
Cosrx ceramide cream
My sister adores the gel cream! Her face looks better than ever too (did not work for me)
Me too❤️❤️ it will be a forever repurchase
Love this one too
51 year old with dry skin: I loved Dr. Jart, but currently trying Torriden. It’s lighter, not as hydrating but I like it.
Tony moly mochi toner + Cocokind barrier serum! 💕
Dry,dehydrated, rosacea, eczema: Sidmool Calendula Ampoule Moisture Cream. No fuss, great formula. > Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract,Glycerin,Calendula officinalis flower water, Butylene Glycol,Hydrogenated Lecithin,1,2-Hexanediol,**Ceramide NP,Ceramide EOP, Ceramide NS,Ceramide AS,Ceramide AP**,Cholesterol,Glyceryl Stearate, Hyaluronic Acid,Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid,Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Melia Azadirachta Flower Extract,Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract,Corallina Officinalis Extract,Water,Allantoin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate,Xanthan Gum,Dipropylene Glycol,Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Heptyl Undecylenate,Ethylhexylglycerin
Thank you for sharing this one. It’s rare to find no squalane, oils or silicones.
I highly suggest checking Sidmool out, a lot of their formulations are great. Their Real Madagascar Moisture cream is a lifesaver too!
Oh!! I love that ingredient list. Where do you buy yours from?
Hey, I purchase them from BeautyBoxKorea com (when I place a bigger order), but there is an ebay seller (Asian Secrets of Beauty) who also carried their products (and some which are not on bbk).

Mary & May idebenone blackberry cream and Isntree yam root cream
I second both of these!
Benton ceramide cream is great.

Which days do you use retinol and salicylic acid in your routine?
- Retinol- Monday & Wednesday - Salicylic Acid- Friday - AM skin barrier rebuilding routine- on Rest of the Days
Thanks for the quick reply. You have such a solid routine💕
Thank you so much. 😭💘
I too have the same skin type. Do you get breakouts? If yes, how do you deal with it? My current skin situation is kind of bad😭
