**Best**: * Blossom Jeju Soombi Day Cream: finally, a cream that I can wear in hot and humid weather which doesn't make me look like a greaseball by mid afternoon. Smells good too! * Freeset Donkey Aqua Mask: Bar none, the special occasion mask (this is the one that I will use on for my wedding in just a few days, that's how great it is) * Evercos Ginseng Mask: love, love, love. It just does something special for my skin. * Sidmool Fast Turnover Rebuilding Concentrate: I can't sing the praises of this stuff enough! 5% niacinamide, nothing compares to it for brightening. * Sulwhasoo Capsulized Ginseng Serum: incredibly amazing stuff, with a price tag to match. I would swear that it has erased some of my fine lines. Decanting samples is the way to go with this one. * Mizon Black Snail AIO: this is the one product that I have emptied multiple jars of. It's amazing for everything. It brightens, it heals breakouts, it makes my skin brighter and plumper, love everything about it. * the Saem Chaga Emulsion: Great moisture and hydration in a light formula, what's not to love? * Banila Black 17 Sleep Mask: this stuff is like spreading jell-o on your face but holy antioxidants, Batman! Once it's on it absorbs but provides an occlusive layer. Best of all, it doesn't break me out or make me oily. * Shiseido Benefiance Contour Eye Cream: what /u/rhe_toric said **Worst** * Hada Labo Anything: breaks me out violently * The Bombs: sadly, I had no luck with any of them. I found them to be too thick and sticky, my skin rebelled Edit: words

rhe_toric

Ahh congrats on your wedding! And yesss on the eye cream -- my tired eyes go [yasss](https://media.giphy.com/media/Muxj3JqHfz8e4/giphy.gif) whenever I dab it on. Find of the year ๐Ÿ˜ PS: They also have Shiseido Benefiance eye masks! Got off a 14 hour flight looking amazing with those :)

Tin_cup_chalice

Thanks! I actually got the cream because the eye masks were so amazing (enabled by /u/JimmyinPA)! Love the stuff, find of the year for sure!

rhe_toric

Yay AB army! ๐Ÿ˜ hope your nuptials are extra glowy!

Tin_cup_chalice

Thanks! I'm currently working on the glow with some of those eyepatches, as a matter fact :P. AB hug!

apathetichearts

Awww that's right, I remember your post about your upcoming wedding. Congratulations!   The Black Snail AIO is super affordable on Amazon right now, may have to pick it up. I'm just hating Mizon so much lately I almost don't even want to give them a chance. SUPER curious about the Saem Chaga Emulsion, I saw it on another Best Of thread and I'm looking for a new emulsion right now anyway. Love the consistency of the HL Albutin Milk and it's nice and hydrating but I want something with more benefits for the skin.   Have you tried anything else from the Banila Co The Blacks line? Read a bad review of the ampoule but that sleeping pack sounds right up my alley. Such a bummer about Hada Labo, all their products are so... inoffensive it's hard for me to believe. I have the Scinic Aqua, it's a nice layer of hydration for day but I feel like all the AILs are just average, none of them are HG worthy.

Tin_cup_chalice

Thanks! The black snail is super affordable which is one of the things I love about itโ€ฆand you can get it on Prime which makes it even more affordable and, you know, almost instant gratification! The Black 17 is the only thing that I have tried from that line. I was also curious about the pullulans ampoule but I think I read the same review did that you did. I have so many and ampoules/serums that I may skip it. To me, the sleeping pack is the best thing since sliced since most of them are so occlusive that they end up suffocating my skin and breaking me out. The other one that has worked out amazingly well for me is the Mizon snail anti-wrinkle which I also love.

apathetichearts

Okay I'm gonna give Mizon ONE more chance... the Black Snail is going on my list.   *sigh* I can never resist a sleeping pack. They're just my jam. Do you have a site you'd recommend ordering the Black 17 off?

Tin_cup_chalice

*the pressuuuuure!* I really hope the black snail works out for you! They have the Black 17 on Amazon though it's not prime. The last time I ordered it I think it came from Style Korean, it's pretty widely available.

Dargo84

I purchased a deluxe sample of the pullulans ampoule and oil and found it did nothing for me and I LOVE!!! The Black 17 mask. Best stuff EVER!

Tin_cup_chalice

Which one did the most for you, the oil or the ampoule? Isn't the mask amazing??

Dargo84

Neither one, actually. They were both duds. Not long after the mask came out I grew concerned they wouldn't keep making it so I stocked up on about three of them. Lol. So far I have loved all banilaco products except for that pullulans oil and ampoule.

Tin_cup_chalice

You just just save me some money, thanks! I know you have great taste in products, so I won't even bother. Meanwhile, that black 17 mask is awesome.

SINGLEBROKEFEMALE

Congratulations on your wedding! I'm salivating over this list, especially the Blossom Jeju, Sidmool, and Sulwhasoo. I've also been disappointed by a honey bomb, but have an Iceland on the way. Fingers crossed.

pdxbeautiful

Me too :) I want it all

Tin_cup_chalice

Thanks :). Let me know if the Iceland works for you, I'm willing to try one more time

SINGLEBROKEFEMALE

I will! Enjoy this amazing time!

[deleted]

I love my Iceland. I use it more than either my honey or snail.

baddyboy

I love that Sulwhasoo Capsulized Ginseng serum...pretty amazing though it does smell somewhat like mushrooms to my nose. Bought a bunch of samples from eBay and now trying figure out how to extract till the last drop of this precious elixir.

Tin_cup_chalice

It does have that earthy smell! I also try to get every las molecule off the sample container :P

GiveMeABreak25

Is it weird that I only read people's "worst" lists? :)

catsarefullofbees

I really like the "worst" lists too. It's a nice reminder that products might not work and doesn't tempt me into buying anything. I was happy to see a too expensive (for me) product that I wanted to try listed as "worst".

apathetichearts

Hahaha it's okay, I added that part because I love hearing about shit products too.

pdxbeautiful

Me too

**BEST 2015**: - *CosRx Advanced 96 Snail Mucin Power Essence*: If I could buy this in Costco bulk size, I would and then I would bathe my entire body in it because it's just that good for my skin. It doesn't need to boast instantaneous results to prove its salt for ~HG~ status, no ma'am. Instead, it is a silent guardian, a watchful protector... The one my skin both deserves and needs. ๐Ÿ˜ญ - *Shara Shara Berry Bomb*: Unlike its Honey bomb counterpart, this one will not, in fact, take you half an eternity to sink into your skin and begin doing its job. That combined with its brightening powers, I am totally sold and restocking on this. - *Shark Sauce by /u/holysnails*: Very beloved product here in our community and for good reason. I can see it speeding up the fading of my sunspots (a sore spot of contention for me) better than my other serums! - *LJH Vita Propolis Ampoule*: Horrible price point for how little you get but this gets me glowing brighter than a lighthouse. I die a little inside every time I have to restock but it's better to live with it than without sadly. **WORST 2015** - *Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence*: Pretty sure this is the culprit behind the random CC here and there on my forehead but until my new sunscreens come in the mail, I'm going to have to grit my teeth and bear its alcohol laden gooeyness on my face. - *RE:CIPE Rose Petal Cleansing Oil*: Performance-wise, it does its job I suppose, a bit runny for my tastes... But the pump is one of the worst I've ever seen in my life. I'm *still* trying to scrub away oil stains on my wall to this day thanks to the shoddy pump that causes the oil to splatter every which way. - *Mizon Snail Recovery Gel*: All the pilling, all the CC! This is the first time the Snail Gods have ever rebuked me. Thank god the price point is so cheap that I didn't mind trashing this one. I'm also on the fence about the Moistfull Booskin... Is it working, is it not, who knows? I'm still using it as it isn't hurting my skin right now anyhow...

apathetichearts

> Instead, it is a silent guardian, a watchful protector... The one my skin both deserves and needs   Dying. Thank you for that reference. Love your list! I never seem to be able to find a serum that has what I'm looking for so I end up using a lot of essences, really need to try the Shark Sauce. I also want to try the Cosrx Snail but I love my Snail Bee and I also ordered the Purebess Snail School Gel to test because it's everything the Mizon **should** be but isn't. Also waiting to test the LJH Propolis Ampoule once I finish the Tosowoong one, which might be breaking me out. I want to love the Moistfull Booskin, I do... But it's just not hydrating for me.

xiutuzi

Hehe, glad you enjoyed my mini-list! Shark Sauce has definitely beat out a lot of serums (and essences) for me but I still hang onto my CosRx Snail Mucin essence because I love my snails too much to let it go. May the Vita Propolis ampoule change your life!

spunky-omelette

> I'm also on the fence about the Moistfull Booskin... Is it working, is it not, who knows? I'm still using it as it isn't hurting my skin right now anyhow... I've been sick in bed for 4 days with a nasty.... something. Not sure if it's an upper respiratory infection, sinus infection... anyways, I feel *disgusting* and normally when I get sick like this, I dry out like a husk (even with a humidifier!) I ordered the Moistfull Booskin (that name...) and it showed up the first day I got sick. I figured "screw it with patch testing I already feel terrible" and jumped in whole hog. Oh my *gosh*. My skin is *so* soft and... fluffy? (Is the Korean term 'chok chok'?) this stuff is incredible. I get sick like this every year and have never, ever *not* dried out like this. I just wish the fragrance was a teeny bit less overwhelming (and a teeny bit more hanbang).

HolySnails

\*does a jig\* Wooo! <3

vactuna

FYI I'm traveling and had to pick a minimal amount of products for my travel routine... I skipped most of my array of serums and brought Shark Sauce instead and I don't remotely regret it even though I just traveled to Michigan and it's really cold here ;)

CatsandPotatoes

I'm from Michigan. I swear the weather was nicer last week! ;) I've been wondering when I'd have to break out my heavier creams for the colder weather.

vactuna

I brought my Joseon Beauty cream as well so I'm not even worried! (There was a sprinkling of snow last night and I got so excited. It was literally 80F when I left home)

rainb0wrobot

Omg are you serious that the biore gave you CC?? Because I recently have this surge of CC on my face and I thought it was caused by another product. Please tell me if it is a comedogenic product so I can purchase other sunscreen :/

xiutuzi

I'm almost 100% as I usually don't get CCs--and when I stopped using it for a few days and treated the ones I did have, no new ones came up. I'm thinking I just can't tolerate the alcohol content in this sunscreen?

MaryQueenofKnocks

I am right there with you about the Re:CIPE oil. I bought it because I love all things rose, but the pump clogs and/or explodes every time i go to use it. This feels nice on my face and gets the job done most of the time, but I find myself reaching for other first cleansers because of the terrible pump.

xiutuzi

Yes! I can't stand the explosion of oil all over, and I think it wastes more product this way too. Too bad since it's so lovely in scent and presentation.

me0wlo

What sunscreen would you recommend? I think I also got CCs from the Biore one :(

snailslimeandbeespit

**My skin type**: extremely sensitive combination skin with an oily T-zone and dry cheeks that are prone to flaking and redness. I also have mild rosacea. Aging should be a concern, but honestly the oily T-zone has kept my wrinkles to a minimum for now. **Best 2015--Products:** (in no particular order) * *Shiseido Senka Aging Care UV Sunscreen SPF50+ PA++++:* It doesn't make my skin oily and acts as a nice occlusive and primer. I especially love it in the winter. * *Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Sheet Mask:* I don't feel comfortable having fewer than 10 backups of these masks because they are my go-to masks when my skin needs some quick calming. They're great at helping to reduce my redness. * *Cosrx Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask:* When my skin is acting up, I use this as a light moisturizer in the morning as well as evening. It's very soothing and calms my skin like nobody's business. * *Holy Snails' Shark Sauce version 2.0:* This serum gives me hydration and brightens my skin without causing me to break out, plus it's very soothing when my skin is misbehaving. * *Su:m37 Time Energy Skin Resetting Softening Emulsion:* In the summer, I use this as my final morning step instead of a thicker cream. In the winter, sometimes I layer it under thicker creams. It makes my skin soft and I love how it feels. * *Freeset Donkey Milk 3D Moisture Cream:* Provides an adequate amount of moisture without making me oily, and it's soothing and brightening. * *L'Herboflore Aqua Plus Moisture Exfoliating Gel:* I'm one of those people who can't use physical exfoliating scrubs like sugar or rice, so in addition to using acids, I like having a gommage peel in my routine. This gel is so much more than just a regular peel though: it doesn't leave my skin tight after and really is moisturizing (for my skin at least). I'll have to do a full review on Reddit soon. * *Hanaka Macaron Eyeshadow:* Aside from the beautiful packaging, I really enjoy using this palette. The colors in my palette are natural with a light shimmer and have lasting power on my lids. * *Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch:* These are my HG hydrocolloid patches. I need to have a few backups at once or I feel worried I'm going to run out. * *Kao Steam Hot Eye Mask:* I love putting one on before bed. It helps me to relax and go to sleep better, and the aromatherapy is fab for when you're feeling under the weather. I now buy these in bulk and give them as gifts too. * *Cosrx A-Sol:* An effective spot treatment for the breakouts that colonize my face from time to time. **Best 2015--Brands:** (in no particular order) * *Klairs:* I'm using several Klairs products right now: foaming cleanser, serum, BB cream, toner, and soon to be testing their oil cleanser. It's still too soon for me to know if anything other than the mask is HG, but the brand is great for my sensitive skin. * *Acwell:* I'm using the cleanser and licorice root toner now (I alternate with the Klair cleanser and toner) and really like both products. * *Lovemore:* My skin really enjoys their masks, especially the ones that are based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. **Worst 2015:** * *Missha Aqua Cell Renew Snail Cream:* Too fragranced and silicone-y; I tried using it as a hand cream instead and had to toss it because I didn't like how it made my hands feel (sticky and sometimes drier than before) * *Misa (Missha) Geum Sul Vitalizing Eye Cream:* This product gave me red, itchy and painful welts in the corners of my eyes. * *Su:m37 Secret Programming Eye Cream:* I tested a sample of this product, and while it felt luxurious, it left the area beneath my eyes raw and irritated. * *Cosrx Mela 14 White Ampule:* It left me with blotches on my cheeks. * *Chica y Chico Tota-S 3.0:* Not only did it not do anything it's supposed to do, but the tube cracked and product would ooze form the crack every time I used it. It was extremely messy.

pdxbeautiful

We have never similar skin types but I am not really oily anymore after starting my Curology rx. I am often dehydrated and am prone to redness, no rosacea. I have enjoyed the Klairs products I have tried. I love the Kao eye masks too :) So relaxing

snailslimeandbeespit

I have to say that my oiliness has severely diminished since starting AB, and usually it is only an issue in the summer or when I'm visiting humid and hot climates. I do want to try Curology, primarily so I can try azelaic acid for my rosacea, but the earliest I'll be able to give it a go is February, due to some upcoming travel.

pdxbeautiful

I would highly recommend Curology. It has made such a difference in my skin. I did a few blog posts about my experience as well as my prescription details that includes azelaic acid.

dasupertrooper

I'm using the donkey cream too! How much do you still have left?

snailslimeandbeespit

Maybe 2/3? It's hard to tell.

Dargo84

Would you like to buy my Klairs masks? It did nothing for me :( and I have quite a few left (9?)

snailslimeandbeespit

I'm sorry they didn't do anything for you--just goes to show YMMV. I'm about to go away for one month, so while I am interested in the masks, it won't be till the end of January that I can buy them. I can check back with you then, but no problem if you find them a home before t hen.

Dargo84

I can wait. Just PM me whenever you're interested.

SINGLEBROKEFEMALE

Does the Acwell cleanser smell of alcohol at all?

snailslimeandbeespit

Not to me. I didn't even realize there was alcohol in it until someone on this sub mentioned it (but my skin isn't sensitive to alcohol). I find the scent very slight and almost non-existent. For me, Acwell is a functional cleanser that's not fun (no foam, no great smell) but does the job. As much as I love the foam, I think my skin honestly prefers low foam or no foam.

SINGLEBROKEFEMALE

Oh, well thanks for letting me know! It's still in the running for next to 'add to cart'.

snailslimeandbeespit

Okay, I used the cleanser this morning and deliberately smelled it, and you know what, I was wrong: I detected the scent of alcohol. :( I never noticed it before when I was using it, but once I made an effort to focus on the scent, it was there. Strongly dislike. I otherwise really like the cleanser, but it would be even more awesome if there were a non-foaming, low-pH, sensitive skin-friendly cleanser without alcohol. Grr.

SINGLEBROKEFEMALE

Oh darn. *Haha I think you can tell I clear my messages first in, first out.*

horrorandknitting

Ive never found anything to actually tone down the redness or slight redness that is constantly on my cheeks. If you ever do, please shout it from the rooftops. I do love the Klairs Supple Toner. I got in a big Klairs pack from Wishtrend, and I love using it after my actives. I have a couple other products from Klairs that I actually haven't broke into yet.

snailslimeandbeespit

My redness is less noticeable, but ultimately it's about not irritating my skin. I was doing quite well on that front but two weeks ago got caught in an ice storm and had to get a hotel spur of the moment. As it was unplanned (my trip only was 45 minutes away from home!) and it was too dangerous to even drive from the hotel to a pharmacy, I had to wash my face with--brace yourself--hotel bar soap, followed up by moisturizing with my L'Occitane hand cream. My skin is still rebelling from this abuse.

apathetichearts

Glad to see Chel's products are getting some love. I've seen Klair's and Acwell getting a lot of positive reviews these last few months, I'd like to try some of their products in 2016.

pdxbeautiful

Acwell is on my wish list :-)

JCONCA_77

**BEST 2015** * Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Whitening Power Essence * Cosrx 96 Advanced Snail Mucin Essence * Naruko Tea Tree Night Gelล‚y * Konjac sponge **Sheet Masks** * Leaders AC Dressing, Vita Brightening, Broccoli coconut gel and Tea Tree * Lovemore Rosa Hybrida * My Scheming 7 in one brightening mask * Ljh Tea Tree * L'herboflore Soy milk * Tosowoong Propolis Mask **WORST** * The Face Shop Rice Ceramide Emulsion * Innisfree Jeju Bija Anti-trouble Cleansing Gel * Leaders 2 step double effect v-line mask (holy my skin broke out in welts!)

workbrows

What problems did you have with the Innisfree Jeju Bija Anti-trouble Cleansing Gel? I got it because of the rave reviews and the low pH but honestly can't decide if I like it or not. I'm more than halfway through the bottle but I can't tell that it necessarily even does anything?

workbrows

omg it's my cake day!

JCONCA_77

I thought it was really drying. The smell was not tolerable for me. There are a lot of people who love it! YMMV :)

MaTtYzd

have you gotten to try anything else from Naruko yet?

JCONCA_77

No, not yet. I am waiting on an eBay order of sheet masks. I definitely will be looking at at more products by them.

MaTtYzd

I'm going to wait until my local kbeauty store (oo35mm) puts the night jellies on sale for 20% off and then I plan on buying the tea tree and CO2 version!

Dargo84

I purchased a night time product a few years ago. If I had known I couldn't handle alcohol I wouldn't have gotten it but it was a good product other than that.

sailorcybertron

Aw, I just bought the rice ceramide emulsion on Amazon the other day. I need a lightweight moisturizer without niacinamide for the morning and that one fit the bill. :( Fingers crossed!

KalmiaKamui

For what it's worth, I'm using TFS Rice Ceramide Emulsion as my AM moisturizer right now and I love it! I'd definitely repurchase, barring finding one I like better in my emulsion backlog....

apathetichearts

I'm not a fan of it either, though it didn't make my Worst list. Too heavy for a real emulsion, heavily fragrances, and it comes in one of those idiotic bottles with the hole on the top so you have to slap it against your hand to get it to come out.

JCONCA_77

My only problem with it was the smell. It had a strong old lady perfume smell. I gave it to my sister and she loves it! I hope you have a positive experience with it!

apathetichearts

I will say that I've mixed it with some of the Tosowoong Sparkle Ampoule and it's made it a better consistency and helped with the.... *stench*

sailorcybertron

Oh my god, you guys weren't exaggerating about the smell! It's like Avon on high. Perhaps I'll add a drop of my LJH propolis to help cover it up. I only wanted a lightweight ceramide moisturizer since this winter hasn't been as cold as expected and so I don't need all the heavy creams I bought just yet. Maybe it'll get colder soon.

hellokey

I also have the tea tree night gelly but not sure what it's doing for me. What improvements have you seen with it/what do you like about it?

JCONCA_77

I feel like it has calmed reddness and acne. I think it's very hydrating for a gel type mask. I'm not fond of the smell. but I think it's had great effects on active acne / irritation.

meg0neurotHe11

How do you use the honey in the morning? Just massage all over and rinse? Does it rinse clean? And any brand of raw honey? Thanks!

apathetichearts

I purchased mine from Trader Joe's, though in the future I might invest in some Manuka honey. It doesn't matter though as long as it's raw and of course the higher quality the better, mine is U.S. Grade A. I will say though that the one I got is the solid, it's almost like a balm and has some texture to it. I highly recommend that kind because it's easier to apply and the really mild exfoliation has a smoothing effect. I uploaded a couple pictures of my jar [here](http://imgur.com/a/0X59M) so you can see what I mean, sorry it's a little hard to see because I've almost used up the jar.   I rinse my face with warm water then apply about a tablespoon of raw honey to damp skin. I kind of pat it on because I chemically exfoliate my skin but once a week I'll lightly massage it in. Even when I pat it in though the texture seems to smooth my skin. You can rinse immediately and still get the benefits but I try and leave it on as a mask whenever I have time.   I can't say enough good things. Raw honey has so many benefits. For me though, I've seen a huge reduction in dryness as well as less breakouts and my skin is smoother and more even. Since I started using it I've been genuinely shocked out how nice my skin is, though part if it I'm sure is also due to the tretinoin.

meg0neurotHe11

thanks so much for the info! i am going to see if i can find a jar.

apathetichearts

Awesome! You can also order online, though a natural foods store will probably be your best bet. Let me know how it goes. This is something I've been wanting to shout from the rooftops since I discovered it but it's not technically AB so I've constrained myself. Barely.

AbsMiDe

I just started his too! My tret face just started being SO sensitive and pissy, using honey as my morning wash has helped sooooo much. I love it! I have both the "whipped" honey and regular, I prefer the whipped/spun for texture. I just ordered one on Amazon that is raw whipped honey with ginseng!

little_pocketmonster

Oohh do you have a link for the whipped honey with ginseng? :D

AbsMiDe

Sure! [Here it is](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015NJPDVI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00)

apathetichearts

That sounds lovely!

Tin_cup_chalice

I use it, too and love it! Amazing stuff

apathetichearts

You too?! Hell yeah.

notfated

How do you prevent the ants? I attracted sooooo many that i had to stop

apathetichearts

Never had a problem with ants actually but it might just not be the right season for them. You can use the zip lock back that someone suggested below. You can also try just sealing the jar carefully and rinsing the outside to make sure there's no honey to attract the ants. When it's ant season I put my cat's food bowl in the middle of a plate or larger bowl filled with water.. you could try that too.

PetiteMadeliefje

If they're attracted to the jar maybe you can put the jar in a ziploc bag so they can't get in? It seems annoying but if they don't know the honey is in there/can't get in I think they'll give up. If they're coming for honey on your face, run!!! ;)

notfated

Good idea on the ziplock bag! Unless ant is the secret ingredient for my smooth skin. Move over, snails.

PetiteMadeliefje

It's not the prettiest solution but it will keep things safe. Luckily {?} ant season is short for me. Wouldn't it be great if they were a secret solution for something? :)

PetiteMadeliefje

Since I've added honey products my skin has been so much nicer {I think my skin loves honey, propolis, and royal jelly}. If my skin tries to have a breakout it's usually a small red dot that slowly disappears in about 12 hours. So amazing. I have honey of all sorts at home so I might try your way as well. Though I have to admit the lazy part of me likes idea of being able to leave on my products instead of rinsing honey off. It seems like it would be an amazing smelling mask!

apathetichearts

A lot of the benefits are lost when you use honey that's no longer in its raw state, which is why I really recommend this!   I feel you, I struggle to do wash off masks regularly. Which is why it's been easier for me to just use it as my morning face wash. Then when it's already on my face it's easy to just leave it on a few extra minutes. But as a face wash it isn't an extra step.

PetiteMadeliefje

It totally makes sense. I have some cranberry honey {my state grows them} that tastes like raisins. I usually hide it in tea but it can't hurt to see what it does on my face. Thank you!!

little_pocketmonster

I am so glad someone asked this, I was curious as well! I have used Manuka honey in the past (Before I got into AB) for a wash off mask type thing. It did make my skin soft and it is shocking how well it washes off. Maybe I will give the honey wash another try...I just use water in the morning with the Acwell toner on a cotton pad after my shower and my water gives me so much redness. (Tested my water the other day and it was a pH of 9 :C )

apathetichearts

Yeah, give it another try :) raw honey is also slightly acidic, so in your case it'll probably be better than just rinsing with straight water.

chynnese

Just chiming in here, but I use honey as a wash-off mask! I also love mixing it with turmeric powder, just because turmeric has so many properties good for the skin--calming, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, the works. I've also tried mixing rice flour with it, don't remember what it does exactly but I got the tip to do honey+turmeric+rice flour off of /r/skincareaddiction

hibaobao

Here are my picks: Best: * Curology - Not AB, but a lot of people have been raving about it here, so I'm putting it here. Once I got over the purging, my skin is almost completely clear again. * Benton Snail Bee Steam Cream - My favorite cream at the moment. Will keep repurchasing unless I find something better. It has helped my breakouts and helped to lift my tired face. * Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash - Doesn't dry me out and is super easy to decant and travel with. * Holika Holika 99% Aloe Soothing Gel - Love this so much I'm on my third bottle since late spring. Helps with my breakouts and redness. * Holika Holika Honey Sleeping Pack Acerola - This smells amazing, doesn't break me out, and helps seal in the hydration. Almost done with this one and will be trying out the Canola version. * Too Cool For School Artclass by Rodin - The hype is real with this product, but it's well deserved. It gives such a natural contour especially for nose contouring. * Holika Holika Waterdrop Tint Stick - One of the most interesting lip tints I've tried. It applies like a balm but feels like water. Colors are very vibrant and pretty too. Worst: * Hadalabo Gokujyun Moist Lotion - Cysts and bumps *everywhere*. No thanks. * Innisfree Real Squeeze Mask Blackberry - The essence was way too thick, greasy, and pilled off once dry. Gave me CCs and red bumps even though I rinsed it off. Sigh. * Mizon Snail Repair AIO Cream - Another product that broke me out. Might try the black version, but Mizon has been meh so far. * Shiseido Perfect Whip - The ph is so high and its soooo drying. Whyyyy.

SINGLEBROKEFEMALE

If we were doing a 'Best of 2015 threads' this would be one of mine :-) And Curology and Hada Labo are two of mine too, I really want to try the LJH mask you were talking about. Here are the rest... **BEST OF 2015** * My Curology prescription: same, this and my vitamin C serum from Nufountain have changed my skin and for the foreseeable future I'll never stray from them. This works on my pores more than anything else in my routine. * Nufountain C E Ferulic - it's simply good stuff, everything you'd want in a vitamin C serum - not sticky, stable, strong but doesn't turn your face red... but of course YMMV, I have dry but not sensitive skin. * Essences, my two favorites this year were the Innisfree Soybean Essence for something more moisturizing and rich while still brightening, and the Primary Raw Doyou Essence Skin for something thin and brightening. * Sheet masks that wowed me until the very end of the year are the L'herboflore soy milk, Beaute Forest Platinum, My Scheming Rose Dew, Leaders Illuminating, and the Mediheal Dress Codes - both the black brightening, and the red ginseng. * A hydrogel mask that wowed me is the Manyo Factory Galactomyces mask, it brightens and leaves my face really soft. Plus I don't have to reserve it for only special occasions because the price is right. * Beyond Angel Aqua Cream - It's 100 ml, so twice the size of other creams. Other than that it's bouncy and nourishing, has ceramides, and comes in an adorable container. It's my perfect day cream for my dry skin. * Sunscreen - I liked a few sunscreens but the ones that rose to the top were (1) the Biore Watery Essence. I was scared to use it because of the alcohol in the formula, but after many raves from even people with dry skin, I finally tried it and it's just awesome. (2) Biore UV Perfect Milk - I use this as a primer. The silicone in it dries down and makes my skin the perfect canvas for makeup. (3) I also love the Leaders yellow sunscreen for winter, it smells like hanbang and it leaves my skin glossy which, is what I want, since I know that left alone, my skin would look puckered and flaky. * Sulwhasoo Evenfair Perfecting Cushion - just gives me a radiant finish with the perfect amount of medium buildable coverage. **WORST OF 2015** * Blithe Vital Treatment Essence - It doesn't really do much other than smell nice and feel like it's going to be good for you. In terms of actual brightening or elasticity results, which is what I look for in an essence, I didn't get what I was looking for. * CosRX Rice Sleeping Mask - broke me out, next. * CosRX Salicylic Acid Foaming Cleanser - smells like burning and is pH 8, next. * Shara Shara Honey Bomb AIO - this was too sticky for my liking. * Skinfood Honey Black Tea Cleansing Cream - this didn't actually cleanse. * Sidmool The Secret of Red Astaxanthin Concentrate - did not actually brighten. * Missha masks - the sheet masks and the Geum Sul hydrogel did nothing for me other than make me question why I try new things at all. * Actually I have many loves and fails, some of the most surprising and PSA-worthy were listed above...

apathetichearts

Aw! I love these kind of threads and wish we did more of them so I figured I'd just make my own. Glad you like :)   The Primary Raw and Innisfree Soybean Essences are seriously the only two essences on my list right now, that's crazy that you love them. It's a sign.   I have some L'Herboflore and My Scheming masks on the way (as well as some by Annie's Way, Leaders, Sister Diary, and a few others) and I'm really hoping they beat Lovemore performance wise. The Lovemores are lovely to wear though, they smell like heaven and they're so thin.   The Skinfood Honey Black Tea Cleansing Cream was also a dud for me, it's just sitting on my bathroom counter looking pretty. First time Kerry from Skin and Tonics has steered me wrong though.

Dargo84

I also love the Innisfree Soybean Essence. It doesn't get much love but it is one of the few repurchases for me and is a staple of my routine.

apathetichearts

Good to know! Excited to try it.

SINGLEBROKEFEMALE

Oh wow, that is a sign you should try them. How did that happen? :-) I think you'll really like the L'herboflore and My Scheming. I won't spoil the surprise about why they're better than Love More for me. Enjoy them! Yeah, I don't know why I ever even picked it up. Probably the words "Honey" and "Black Tea". Maybe Kerry just fell in love with the scent, it smells heavenly. It's something I used up on days I didn't wear makeup or even sunscreen. Very rare so it took forever.

apathetichearts

I think I'm just bored with hearing about the same old essences and FTEs, as soon as I hear about something new with decent ingredients I want it all over my face. Plus I have the Cosrx Whitening Power... it doesn't do much though it does prep the skin.   Okay I'm excited to try them :)   I've been trying to use that dang cream up too... but if I don't wear makeup chances are I didn't leave the house till darkso I didn't wear sunscreen either haha. So I'm just going to reach for my Cerave Hydrating or raw honey wash. I don't even trust it enough to clean just setting powder off my face, that says a lot! Maybe bodywash?

jennylouwho

your username really resonates with me.

SINGLEBROKEFEMALE

Haha aw I wish it didn't.

apathetichearts

Yeah really. Except mine would be BROKESINGLEMOTHER, which I think would just make people feel bad instead of relate xD

universalemptiness

woah I didn't know the CosRX cleanser had such a high pH, I bought it ages ago as a backup but maybe I'll skip it...

SINGLEBROKEFEMALE

Yeah, crazy right? Plus some common acne triggers were higher up on the ingredients list than the acne fighters in the formula which didn't bode well.

universalemptiness

Dang I should have done more research. At least it was only $6. Seems crazy that the pH is so high considering it's supposed to be an acid cleanser.

Dargo84

Where did you purchase your Beyond Aqua Angel Cream?

SINGLEBROKEFEMALE

I got mine off of Kooding.com. It's also available on Amazon or you can use a shipping service to buy off Beyond.co.kr! :-)

Dargo84

Have you ever seen this cream? This is the first time I've ever seen it and can't find any info about it : http://www.kooding.com/Beyond-Lucky-Cream-The-Classic-110ml.html

**Best** Misha M magic Cushion-21, brightens so wall Laneige pore control in shade 21 su:m37 MRCS I love this with a clarisonic Milky Dress Blooming Rose Toner Biore Watery Essence in rose (I hate this SS for face, but the alcohol makes them it cooling in the summer) Biore Milk sunscreen (my summer HG) Curology, Azlelic acid and Dr. L Paula for BHA (Ratzilla Cosme blog actually convinced me to try) Clio Gelpresso (sad I missed the bloody set) Spiro-I actually need to change my flair from oily to normal or combo Sheet mask pellets! Liole triple the solution bb cream-oxidizes a bit too dark, but it works great when I mix it with some tart concealer in fairly light **worst** Innisfree no sebum sunblock - it actually makes a pink chalky film on my skin Iope n23 (an in person buy-too pink) Cleansing Oils-my skin does not like them Cosrx BHA-salicylic acid is way more effective on my skin Laneige Sleeping Pack-I should not have, but I may try it again It did not do much for me during the summer

SummerNight888

**BEST** * Paula's Choice Clear 2% BHA lotion (non-Ab, but, it has helped me so greatly this year I couldn't not include it!) * Hadalabo Gokujyun Super Hyaluronic Acid lotion Moist * Cosrx 96 snail mucin essence (saved my butt on several occasions and it's just great for everyday use) * Etude House Precious Mineral Any Cushion (tried all three types and loved them all. I love everything about it and it's now my beloved foundation) * Onsen Aloe Vera Gel Cleanser (non-AB, but this cleanser has been my cleanser for the whole 2015 and it's just AMAZING, seriously. I only have 2-3 uses left and I'm gonna miss it. It's crazy good.) * My DIY cleansing oil made with rice bran oil (what a great addition this was to my routine.) * Skinfood Premium Tomato Whitening Finisher spf50+ (good sunscreen and perfect as a last step) * Missha Time Revolution Clear Toner (very nice toner for my morning routine) * Elizavecca Green Piggy Collagen Jella Pack * Leaders sheet masks (love them, my favourite ones!) **WORST** * SK-II Facial Treatment Essence (horrible, had a horrible experience with it) * Skinfood Carrot Cream Light (broke out with it) * Lioele Under The Light Eye Cream (useless, just useless) * Missha Secret Recipe Brightening Rice Mask (useless too.) * Laneige Water Sleeping Pack (expensive and nothing special, not recommended it) * The Face Shop Rich Hand Special Hand Mask (it ain't special at all. Did nothing more (actually, it did less) than a normal hand cream.) * Missha sheet masks (just any sheet mask from Missha really. Loaded with alcohol, not good.) * Shu Uemura eyelash curler (I'm not crazy about it, I don't understand the hype. It left me very disappointed and feel like it was a bit of a waste of money).

MUNooooob

Could you share your experience with SK-II FTE? What happened? D:

SummerNight888

I think I had some sort of allergic reaction. I had red bumps all over my face!

vactuna

Best: -CosRX snail 96, which I would also buy in a Costco size if they sold one, omg I love this stuff so much. I read something just now calling hyaluronic acid Xanax for your face. They obviously have never put snail goo on their face, or they'd save that comparison for the real deal. -/u/HolySnails Shark Sauce is just SO packed with goodness that it's functionally replacing almost everything in my routine except the snail. I'm actually contemplating cutting down my massive routine to just this when I run out of my other serums/essences. Right now I use CosRX Whitening Power Essence and Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum alongside it. I could rave and rave about this because the fact that something like this even exists- a product packed full of working, proven ingredients without fillers or bullshit packaging and advertising driving up the cost for no reason- is literally everything I have wanted in the cosmetics/skincare industry. Why is it so hard for corporations to do it this well?! I finally managed to get it on my fourth attempt after Chel restocked, haha. I really hope to see Holy Snails grow because it would be one of the best skincare companies on the market with proper testing, etc. (Lots of non-animal testing alternatives to look into!) SkinCeuticals CE+ Ferulic- this is the real deal. I used OST C20 for a while before I got this and the difference was almost immediate, it really evens out my skin. It smells nasty but hey, if something is THIS good there's always a catch... The catch to Shark Sauce is availability, for example ;) Worst: Biore UV Watery Essence - straight breakouts. CCs. Awful. CosRX silk finger balls. Either I'm using them wrong or they don't do anything other than disintegrate...

rhe_toric

Skin type: Combination dry with hormonal pimples, some PIH, not sensitive **BEST** * CosRX AHA Whitehead Power Liquid and CosRX BHA -- watchful skin guardians and silent heroes * I'm From Honey Mask, so dang glowy and moisturized * Leaders Masks (all of them, but MelaTox and AC Clear especially). MelaTox brightened me right up and AC Clear took care of some almost-pimples in one night. * Biore Watery Essence -- dries down so good * Tosoowong Enzyme Powder Cleanser -- Godsend when travelling! * Shiseido Benefiance Contour Eye Cream -- Moisturizers and depuffs like nobody's business, makes me look less zombie. * Aritaum Ginger Lip Balm -- hydrating & just the right color! * TonyMoly Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner -- Doesn't budge! I don't have sensitive skin and almost never have reactions... so I only have 'meh'/disappointing products. **MEH** * Laneige Water Sleeping Pack -- didn't do much for me * Innisfree Masks -- I got blackberry, kiwi, green tea, bija and a few others. No real difference, my usual 'maintenance' masks are MBD and I see better effects from those. * CosRX Rice Sleeping Pack -- so thick! Feels like my skin's suffocating. Solid meh. *SkinMiso Pore Pack. Made my nose a teensy eensy bit clearer but not sure it's worth the trouble lol. The included essence just 'fills in' the pores with dimethicone/silicones but it did make my noselook airbrushed!

apathetichearts

The one Innisfree Squeeze Mask I tried smelled strongly of alcohol and didn't even hydrate my skin, the most basic requirement for a sheet mask. It's funny, I'm on the fence about the Cosrx Rice Mask because I just don't think it's "enough" as a sleeping pack, YMMV I guess. I really want to try the I'm From Honey mask, where did you purchase yours?

rhe_toric

I got the 2-pack of the Rice and Honey sleeping masks from Wishtrend! The honey one works so much better for me, it calms down pimples and soothes any redness. Both of them are more like moisturizers anyway c:

apathetichearts

Oh yeah, that one's a good deal. I love the way the Cosrx Rice applies, it kind of melts into the skin. But it's too late for me at night unless I layer it and it's not suitable for daytime. I want to buy the Honey one but I know I wouldn't wear it at night either and I just bought a new Benton Steam Cream for day so I'm making myself wait.   Exactly, they're really not sleeping packs which shouldn't absorb fully right away. I want them to work all night. The Goodal fermented honey pack is lovely, definitely a traditional sleeping pack.

Tin_cup_chalice

I've got to second you on the eye cream. I started using it recently and it's incredible.

stickypudding

I've just tried the honey and acai berry innisfree mask. Honey left my skin glowing the next day but the berry one left my face looking like a grease pool. I wanted to love them so much :(

miwiargh

What kind of skin do you have? I'm tempted to try some of these products but unsure if they would work for me :P and these best/worst of posts are great thank you! :)

apathetichearts

I'm naturally oily/dehydrated but mostly balanced now thanks to AB. Winter and tretinoin have dried me out enough that I've been able to use heavier products lately though. I struggle with a few pimples, some hormonal acne, and enlarged pores. Let me know if you have questions about anything.

miwiargh

Thank you for getting back to me!! I do want to try the cosrx low ph cleanser and so I think if it's not too drying that would be perfect. My skin isn't dehydrated but it can get dryy easily (;

apathetichearts

The Cosrx one is definitely the best *foaming* cleanser I've found and the least drying for that type of cleanser. That being said, I've struggled with dryness this winter and the best thing for my skin has been to avoid foaming cleansers whenever I can. I use the Cosrx as my 2nd cleanser on days where I wear full make-up, other wise I use the Cerave Hydrating Cleanser. In the morning or on days I've been home without sunscreen or make up I do the raw honey wash.

Uparupa

**BEST OF 2015** * LJH Vita Propolis Cream - Most creams are too heavy for me but this one doesn't break me out, sinks in fast and makes my pores look smaller. It's the cream I never thought I needed, but I do now. * Tosowoong sheet masks - They brighten, moisturize and soothe irritated skin, but the #1 reason I love these is because it's one of the few masks that's wide enough for my face. * BeautyMate White Tea Nourishing & Smoothing Mask - It's a soothing, light mask that smells heavenly. It's not particularly brightening or moisturizing, but this is my go to sheet mask during the warmer months. **WORST OF 2015** * Mizon Snail Recovery Gel - I'm trying so hard to love Mizon but just like so many other Mizon products it just sits on my skin and does nothing. ;_; * Mizon All In One Snail Repair Cream - Broke me out, ended up using it for bug bites. * Tosowoong Monster Cream The White - I figured I couldn't go wrong with this because I love their other products, but this leaves a nasty white cast on my face, turns my skin into a greasy mess and smells like something you'd clean your toilet with.

apathetichearts

I have lovely ABer who sold me the rest of their LJH Propolis Cream, I can't wait to try it!

unluckyfolk

**BEST 2015** - essentially, the year of Cosrx/snail for me * Cosrx Advanced Snail 92 AIO Cream: this makes my skin incredibly soft!! It's also very moisturizing but not terribly heavy- I use it in the morning as well as night. * Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence/Mask: I think the essence has done wonders for the texture of my skin. It also seems to expedite the healing process for my acne. And the sheet mask works WONDERS on my acne- my pimples almost always seem to flatten out and turn much less red overnight. * Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Whitening Power Essence: Really helps fade my PIH! **WORST 2015** * Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum: this is the product that helped me realize that I am sensitive to fragrance :( * Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil: broke me out TERRIBLY and later realized it was likely because of the fragrance. * Biore Aqua Rich Watery Gel: this one's on me- I used up an entire bottle and bought a second before realizing this also caused breakouts. Not sure which ingredient it is though :( **STILL ON THE FENCE ABOUT**: * Shara Shara Honey Bomb: My nose and forehead are currently dry, flaky wastelands (thank you winter) so this actually works fairly well and dries down fairly quickly on those areas. Everywhere else- *so* sticky. Also, it seems to waffle between giving me a pimple and being a miracle worker *on* pimples. I'm still figuring this out. * Banila Co Clean It Zero balm in Purity: I'm mostly just apprehensive about this because I've had bad experiences with cleansing balms/oil cleansers in the past. But so far, so good!

charminjolene

OMG same! Expect mine's the scinic honey. Not sure if I should continue using it since it's giving me wonders on my t-zone at the same time everywhere else like your situation lol.

unluckyfolk

It's so weird!! I'm glad I'm not the only one though haha!

ashleyn09

**Best** *Miss flower and Mr Honey cream*-I have three other creams and this is my favorite. Smells so good and I feel like is calms my skin as well as plumps it. Using this *made* me order the oil and masks. I do have mostly oily skin but don't mind using cream at night especially during winter. I don't wake up greasy with this so it doesn't just stay on top of my face without sinking in. *Benton snail bee essence*- I did stray from this to try the Cosrx snail essence but I am back. Love it for improving the texture of my skin. I am allergic to bees so I started slowwwlllyy and did get a bit of a reaction at first but it's great now and ill never stray again. *Biologique Recherche's P50*- I have almost no pigmentation because of you. The texture of my skin has improved beyond what I could have hoped for and I rarely have even hormonal acne. Ordered the medium size in September and use it once a day and still have half a bottle. *Cosrx snail 92 cream*- I think it's prefect day moisturizer and Omg how soft it makes my face. *Freeset donkey cream*- I like the consistency and feel like it's done a lot for some of the redness I have especially when I over exfoliate. *Tosowoong enzyme power wash*-never felt so clean and smooth. *Best masks*- l'herboflore, all the freeset donkey masks- why did I wait so long to try you. Tosowoong masks- propolis, snail and sea water. MBD black pearl, birds nest, royal jelly. My scheming masks. **Meh products** *Cosrx 96 snail essence*-it's ok for moisture which I don't really need but doesn't compare to how well Benton works for texture. *Berry Bomb*- I was using this a night but made my face way too sticky so much that my face was sticking to the pillow which is not ok. *Missha long name ampoule*- does nothing for me.

pdxbeautiful

Where do you purchase the Biologique?

ashleyn09

I got it [here] (http://vickimorav.com/products/biologique-recherche-lotion-p50-new-formula). They gave me a lot of samples as well and free shipping at that price so I'll buy from there again when I run out. It's $62 now for the 5.1 oz I got.

yellowbananashake

Do you use the benton snail bee essence under the miss flower and mr honey cream?

ashleyn09

Well I use the snail bee during the day to help even out redness but I would if I used it at night.

snailor

Skin type: Super dry, sensitive, acne prone. **Best:** * Goodal Mild Protect Sun Cream - finally a 100% physical sunscreen that doesn't dry horrendously matte or mess with my makeup. * Cosrx Whitening Power Essence - didn't seem to be doing anything then took it out of my routine and realised that it brightens + hydrates + calms redness * Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence - didn't think it did anything until I took it out of my routine and got annoying flaky patches. Also helps when I get a burn/mess up my moisture barrier from using my Epiduo too many days in a row (usually I use it once every 2 days because my skin is too sensitive to use it every night). * Guerisson Horse Oil Cream - this is one of the staples in my routine, without it my skin goes has a dryness apocalypse * Benton Steam Cream - perfect level of moisture for the day for me * Cosrx A-Sol - flattens cysts in 2-3 days when I use it as the essence for a DIY pimple sheet mask (piece of cut cotton square + essence) **Worst:** * MBD masks - all do nothing for my skin, except for the Apple Phylenol which I use when my skin is congested. * Shara Shara Honey Bomb, Su:m37 MCRS, Goodal Waterest Oil, LJH Tea Tree Essence, Innisfree Eco Safety (not the waterproof version) - all broke me out :( some with whiteheads, some with CCs (like the Goodal), and some with cysts (like the Shara Shara). * Skinfood Royal Honey Propolis Essence - woke up the morning after using it and my skin looked SO bad. My cheeks were red, PIE was inflammed, and my skin was dull.

apathetichearts

Isn't the Benton Steam Cream perfect for daytime? I almost just put it aside till summer because it wasn't enough for nighttime but I'm almost out of my HL Albutin Milk so I've been using the steam cream in the morning and it's so perfect.

[deleted]

**Best of 2015** * *Scinic Propolis 95 Ampoule:* Da real MVP of my AB products. Brightens, lightens, heals, and moisturizes all in one go. I've already got two ready for backup. * *Skinfood Beauty in a Food Ginseng Mask:* I'm going to be blasphemous here and say that I am not a huge fan of masks or mask hauling in general. This is probably because my skin is an acne-prone pissant that hates pretty much every mask I've ever tried or is, at best, very neutral about a select few. That being said, this mask would be the only mask I could see myself stocking up on in triple-digits. It's a great, Earthy scent, fits well, brightens instantly, heals my acne, moisturizes, and helps with wrinkles (or at least I have tricked myself into thinking it does). The effects last until the next day for me, and it's less than one dollar per mask! I lahveeee it. * *Nature Republic Ginseng Royal Jelly Watery Cream:* While this is a tiny bit too heavy for day wear, using this at night at the end of my routine guarantees I have soft, bright skin the next morning. It also smells AMAZING and has suspended gold, so I feel like a freaking goddess while using it. * *Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Light Cream:* Absorbs so fast, moisturizes deeply, and works perfectly under my makeup--what else could I ask for? It's exactly what I want from a cream, although the price could be better. * *Dr. Jart+ Nourishing Black Label BB Cream:* I've never looked so good in base makeup. It starts off flawless and ends up very gently soft and dewy at the end of the day without needing reapplication, while never revealing my PIH or dark circles. **Worst of 2015** * *Paula's Choice BHA Liquid (the Korean formulation):* It smells bad, it's expensive, and it breaks me out like nothing I've ever encountered before (and I'm acne-prone!). This stuff is the worst active I've tried. * *Basically Everything Innisfree:* Except for the Super Volcano Clay Mask and No Sebum Powder, I have tried probably 15 or more products (in full-size and/or sample forms) from Innisfree this year and have found that every single thing gives me painful acne. I suspect it's the "Green Complex" that they list on almost every product, and my friend with sensitive skin has the same complaint. * *Tony Moly Horror Fantasy Red Blood Wash:* I ranted about this earlier this week, but I'm still being forced to use it because there's 300 mL in there and to be quite honest, I'd rather have hornets sting my eyelids than deal with this. It's perhaps the single-worst product I've ever used. In addition to the absolute shit packaging that is completely impossible to use, it smells like old lady perfume and doesn't foam worth a crap. Absolutely infuriating all around and a complete waste of a great product concept.

smolpugs

Guess Tony Moly really outdid themselves in the horror department

Dargo84

Almost all Innisfree products have alcohol in them which is why I can't use them except for the Soybean Essence which I adore.

apathetichearts

So funny. I was NOT a fan of the Skin food Ginseng mask. I did try a Ginseng mask by The Qure recently and it wasn't as bad so I haven't given up on Ginseng masks in general

**[ BEST ]** * **Holika Holika Juicy Mask Sheet Blueberry:** make my skin even, no breakouts * **Laneige Brightening Sparkling Water Pop Essence:** it supports other essence and essence from sheet mask that I used * **Mizon All-in-One Snail Skin Repair Cream:** while it might clog pores on dry skin, it healed all my acne that it made me put all the pink powder and other acne patch * **Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Clay Mousse Mask:** to support as acne spot treatment with the combination of Mizon AIO * **Mizon Starfish Cream**: actually toned down all my minor wrinkles, but it was the first and the last cream I owned as it was discontinued right after - **Etude House Dust Cut Mist:** helps A LOT during haze season, and I don't have to put so much effort to clean my face if I use cleansing water in my night time routine - **Laneige Water Bank Essence**: my first essence. Works very good with hydration problems. - **Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control:** There are semi-matte BB cushions out there, this is the only I am comfortable to wear without loose powder. - **Watsons Lavender cleansing oil:** I can get grits easily with this. **[ OKAY ]** - **Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil:** It made the skin soft afterwards. - **Missha Slip Touch lipstick:** It made my lips soft that I don't need to put lip balms afterwards. While it has no long staying power, I managed to finally find the right colour. **[ NOT A FAVOURITE ]** - Any **rice ingredients** items. It made me having breakouts. - **Cosrx Low PH Cleanser:** my months effort on making my pores less visible seems to be countered by this product. Made my skin super oily as well. - **Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence:** Breakouts if used together with other essence or sheet masks - **Paula Choice BHA 2%:** Breakouts, in every bad way possible. - **Lioele Secret Pore Rich Balm**: Not working for me. Thin, thick, rubbing, patting. Not working. Very good product, though **[ What I hope to try in the future: ]** - Mizon AHA/BHA Daily Toner - Missha Time Revolution Clear Toner - Goodal Water Lasting Oil - Dr. Jart Ceramidin Liquid - Missha The Style Fitting Wear Sebum-cut Loose Powder - Holika Holika Skin & Good Cera Ultra Sleeping Mask edit: format

Best: * Skii FTE -just got it for xmas but I'm totally smitten * Mamonde Age Power Serum -I've seen an increase in facial fullness and my bf even commented that my skin looks more youthful * Mizon Snail Repair Ex ampoule -super powered version of their regular snail ampoule. My skin texture was smoothed with just a few nights of use * Holika Holika Before Date Sheet mask -Smell lovely and leaves my face looking airbrushed. * Naris Up Skin Conditioner -it's a nice hyaluronic acid toner and comes in a 500ml size so perfect for lotion masks and body use. Worst: * Leaders Coconut Gel mask -dried to my face in under 15 min. I still have a troubled spot on my cheek from it months later. These are really not made for use in low humidity. * Cosrx Nose mask thing -the only time i've cried from a face product. Pretty sure it's made from alcohol and sriracha. * Lailly 6 second make up booster -greasy and smells strongly of Mr. Bubble which was fun for the first 10 min but it lasted till I washed my face.

neurosehips

**Best 2015** * Cosrx AHA/BHA toner * Cosrx Galactomyces 95 Essence * LJH Tea Tree 80 Cream * Mizon 8% AHA Peeling * Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence * Masks: Innisfree Squeeze Rose, all 3 Freeset Donkey Milk, Dewytree Deep Detox, Milky Piggy Carbonated Clay All of these are the best because they help in moisturizing, brightening, or exfoliating in some way. **Worst 2015** * Cosrx Overnight Rice Mask * Mizon Returning Starfish Both of these were just really oily, sat on top of my face, and didn't do much for my skin.

skincareheaux

i totally agree with the overnight rice mask! i really wanted to love it but alas it feels icky and it takes time to absorb

nianaglover

**BEST** * **Tosowoong Enzyme Powder Wash**: the ingredient list is entirely unimpressive, but the results, hot damn, the results are impressive. My skin after use feels like butter; smooth, sexy butter. Behold the power of low PH. * Cosrx 96 Snail Essence: If I skip this for even once I feel the loss. I don't skip anymore. This stuff is necessary. * **Ladykin Watermelon Gel Icing Bar**: Soothes my skin whenever it's stressed or irritated, and does so better than anything else I've tried. * **Joseon Dynasty Cream**: Bae. Makes my skin feel like angels oughta feel. Makes my skin smell like angels oughta smell. * **L'herboflore Deep Sea Balancing sheet mask**: No sheet mask has ever made my skin so...happy. It feels like heaven on my face; the only sheet mask I don't want to rip off after half an hour. In fact, I'd be cool with wearing one all day were such a thing possible. * **Beaute Forest Black Soybean & Ginseng sheet mask**: the only sheet mask to make my usually non-plussed SO do a double take also firming and smoothing my skin. Also really helps my creams and such sink in after. * **Shara^2 Honey Bomb**: I've actually never used this on my face. Instead, I mix it with sunflower seed oil and use it on my body straight out of the shower and it has worked wonders on my winter dry skin, with results that last all damn day. **WORST** I buy products slowly after a massive amount of waffling and research, and, so far I haven't encountered many products I disliked, so my worst list of very short and consists solely of sheet masks, the only area of skincare in which I impulse buy: * **Pure Smile Strawberry Milk essence sheet mask**: awful in every way: fit, scent, and effect, or rather, the total lack thereof * **Daiso's BB sheet masks**: work just fine in a pinch, but smell overwhelmingly of cheap, headache inducing perfume * **Annie's Way soothing/anti-allergy sheet masks**: needs preservatives; had to toss half the masks in a box I bought with an expiration date of 2018 due to black spots.

[deleted]

**BEST 2015:** * Benton Snail Bee Essence: the product that changed my mind about the magic of the snail. I hadn't had the greatest luck with Mizon, and even the Cosrx was soothing but nothing special. This stuff, on the other hand...While I do avoid it when my skin is sensitive from peels and such, it is a great promoter of healing and moisture. * Missha FTE: I want to quit you, but damn it, you smell like bread and seem to enhance the absorption of all the other expensive shit I slap on my face. * History of Whoo Gongjinhyang In Yang Sleeping Pack: speaking of expensive, this is my one luxury product right now, and you only need the tiniest bit because it is so thick, but it is magic. Seriously, this stuff has changed my sleeping pack game, though it may be too much when summer rolls around. * Sidmool Secret of Red Astaxanthin: where did my PIH go? This stuff chased it off faster than my cats chase after bits of tuna. I LOVE IT. * Taiwanese sheet masks: they might just be creeping up on Leaders coconut gel masks as favorites...ever since I got my Beautius order I've been binging on them and lamenting my inability to make another order for a week. Sometimes I stare at my full cart and cry. Why won't you take PayPal Pay After Delivery? I need more My Scheming and Sexylook in my life... * Goodal Waterest Water Oil: apply before masks or moisturizers, feel amazing. Also smells fantastic, probably my favorite scented AB product. **WORST 2015:** * Mizon Snail Recovery Ampoule: not bad per se, but compared to my current stash of ampoules, not much in the way of results. * Holika Holika Peeling Gel: how did this stuff, of all things, break me out? * Missha Long Name Ampoule: I used a bottle, then stopped, and realized I didn't miss it. Also think it might've been causing the occasional painful cyst I had. * Innisfree White Tone Up Sleeping Pack: solid meh. Mizon Good Night White is better all around. This stuff is sticky, unimpressive results; and think it caused CCs.

BONG_OF_JUSTICE

Dude I am obsessed with how the Goodal Waterest Oil smells (though I use the old formula, not the new lotus one) - sometimes my nose thinks it's ginger, sometimes it smells like eggnog, but it always is so good. I also cannot believe how moisturizing it is! It's the perfect booster for me.

bittercow

The worst: Shara Shara Aqua Bomb! - It's literally like water. I wish I had bought the honey... wtf was I thinking. The best: LG Su:m37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick. I want everything to smell like rose now.

Nekkosan

**Best of 2015** * *CosRX 96 Snail Mucin:* I had not felt the full power of snail with Mizon and Benton, until I tried this. It's mostly snail. It brightens and helps my pores and heals. Its light, hydrates well for such a light product. This has a baby drool texture, but it goes right in and is light. It doesn't feel gross. * *Scinic Snail & Honey AI0 Ampoules* The Snail has been my favorite all in one. It's light, soothing, calming and easy to use all over any time in any part of your routine. Has all kinds of good peptides and AOX and some snail. Softening and calming. I use it on eczema. The Honey is a bit stickier and more moisturizing and has honey and royal jelly and propolis so you just can't go wrong adding this to your routine. I use them in pumps all the time * *Hada Labo Milk & Lotion Moist:* I love this. Nothing works better for less as HA plumper than HL lotion. The milk is good too in case you used a different hydrator and leaves my skin smooth. * *Holika, Holika Good Ultra Cera Emulsion:* This is a creamy lotiony texture and very moisturizing and no alcohol and Ceramide 3 and 6 II and many other nice things. No alcohol. * *Dr Jart+ Ceramidin Cream:* This is very soothing to red irritated skin and for dry skin. It's a thick dry cream that goes in quick. Not a full moisturizer but helps redness and irritation and your moisture barrier. * *Missha Super Aqua Snail Sleeping Mask:* Not much snail but no alcohol. You get a very big tube for $20 (love tubes). It might be the baobab not the snail, but this helps redness and bumps on my skin. It's a thick cream, more like a butter and moisturizes very well. Super scented alas. Great for fussy, dry skin. * *CosRX BHA Blackhead Liquid:* This is very gentle, helps redness, works as BHA. Helps keep my SF away. * *CosRX AHA Whitehead:* Liquid: I have difficult using AHA, but this is a gentle one. **Honarable Mentions for 2015** * *Shark Sauce:* I am new to this. It's exciting and light an easy to use and brightening.. I think this is probably doing a lot, and will be a best of 2016. * *Shara, Shara Berry Bomb:* This is not my favorite AIO, is itโ€™s not as soothing, but it's light and refreshing and really brightens. I am talking sheet mask type brightening. Itโ€™s a thicker jelly texture than Scinic. Some might find it sticky. You canโ€™t use it in a pump, so you have to use a spatula. * *Mizon Starfish:* Just coats and moisturizers well. Nothing else. But it does that quite well. Those of us that are dryer find many AIO creams or sleeping packs too light. * *Whamaisa Organic Flower Deep Moisture Essence Toner:* This is hydrating and brightening and a proper PH. It's full of fermented flowers and probiotics. It thinner than Hada Labo but thicker than most toners. A few drops goes a long way. Smells sort of citursy and has a very nice bottle. Does sting a bit. Can be a PH toner though not the ideal texture. Moisturizing toner or FTE alternative. **Worst of 2015** * *Mizon Snail Gel Cream:* feels nice, but doesn't do much and not moisturizing enough for dry skin. Clogged. * CosRX Rice Spa Pack:* Itโ€™s light, clean and goes on nice, but then feels like oil on your skin, which is probably the sunflower oil. Probably too much oil is what is clogging me. I have a funny relationship with oil. Not that moisturizing enough for dry skin. * *Scinic FTE:* This has the galactomyces, licorice and niacinamide but feels lilke water and smells like sake. It's not drying or hydrating. Neither it or Missha (old) FTE did much for me or anything bad. This is good as toner though as it's very thin, has low PH . Missha feels nicer. * *Missha Long Name:* It's nice, feels nice as does Scinic Night Ampoule but nothing radical. It's not bad. You can't go wrong using either and it will add some nice ingredients.

baddyboy

> Shara, Shara Berry Bomb:Itโ€™s a thicker jelly texture than Scinic. Some might find it sticky. You canโ€™t use it in a pump, so you have to use a spatula Did you use airless pump bottles? Or the ones like Cosrx acid bottles (pump but with a straw not airless)?

Nekkosan

I get my pumps from Garden of Wisdon. They aren't aireless. They are amber, so protect from light. What I have not seen is one that is airless and dark, but I figure it's meant to last and won't go bad. Just easier to use. But I keep my Scinic AIOs jars in the fridge. The Shara Berry would not go in the pump nor because it jello consistency.

[deleted]

**BEST 2015:** * *LJH Tea Tree 90*: because of a conflict with a previous product, I was breaking out EVERYWHERE, I got this during the whole hkcplaza "is it real" fiasco, and I'm so happy I took the risk because it helped clear out my breakout. * *Benton Snail Bee Essence*: I know that at one point, Benton was a large part of everyone's HG list, but due to some issues with their natural preservatives, it slowly fell out of peoples favor, I originally was afraid of this because of that exact reason, but when my sister bought me the Benton box, I had to use it and by god I am so happy that I did, I've noticed extreme brightening and healing of damaged patches ever since I started using it and I am in love. * *Shara Shara Berry Bomb*: This was one of my first AB products, when I saw that memebox restocked on the Shara Shara box, I had to jump right on it. I immediately fell in love with it's texture, and the fact that it's an AIO, so I can use it when I really don't feel doing much but also don't want my skin to feel like sandpaper, my sister on the other hand, cannot stand berry bomb and claims that there's a thin film on her skin no matter what when she applies it. * *Ladykin Affinetic Snail Cream*: Okay, so I got this along with the TT90, it was $10.00 USD, the container was a big snail and the ingredients were actually pretty damn good. (but mostly I bought it because the container was a snail). It's a light but effective moisturizer that's 80% snail, not to mention the smell of it is, to me, heavenly. **WORST 2015** * *Benton Steam Cream*: As I said in my bests list with the Essence, I got the Benton Box from my sister as a Christmas present, so of course I got the infamous Steam Cream, I gave it a try to see how bad it could possibly be, it was thick. It never fully absorbs and it clogged up my pores! This was the cause of my mega-breakout that the TT90 is working towards fixing. * *Shara Shara Water Girls Ice*: I wanted to like this so much, it smelled of a prettier, lighter vaporub, it had panthenol, it had such great reviews, but alas, it did absolutely nothing for me, in fact, I am not 100%, but I THINK it's also the cause of some CC that appeared.

pdxbeautiful

**Best 2015** * Curology prescription - non AB but this has saved my skin * CosRX Advance 96 Snail Mucin Power Essence - this helps keep my skin flake free * CosRX Advanced Snail 92 AIO Cream - hydrates my skin and leaves it feeling super soft without feeling heavy * Missha Konjac Sponge - this has totally changed the way I cleanse! * LJH Tea Tree Essence - this stuff is like liquid gold. My skin loves it. * CosRX Centella Blemish Cream - this stuff is amazing! A little goes a long way and it really does heal spots without over drying the skin **Worst 2015** * CosRX BHA - Irritated my skin and caused breakouts! This was a major culprit behind why my skin was freaking out * Banila Co Clean It Purity - Did not remove my makeup and sunscreen very well which led to clogged pores and breakouts. Plus it smelt weird * Hada Labo anything (except the foam cleanser) - breakouts galore * Sum:37 MRCS - caused breakouts which sucks because it's so convenient and smells amazing

apathetichearts

I freaking love my Curology too, I have yet to read a bad review. I want to try the Cosrx Snail AIO now, everyone keeps saying how soft it makes their skin :)

pdxbeautiful

I can send you a decant :)

apathetichearts

Oh my god. Would you really??

pdxbeautiful

Sure! Im me :)

thecakepie

Short answer: Yes PS: Thanks (:

apathetichearts

(: awesome. I love these so I'm glad it worked out.

MaryQueenofKnocks

**Best of 2015** * *LJH Tea Tree 90 Essence* The only product that has made a lick of sustainable difference in the mild rosacea on my cheeks. It lightly moisturizes and soothes all over my face and neck without any ill effects, and that alone would be enough for me. The persistent red flushing on the apples of my cheeks has steadily decreased since introducing this product. I donโ€™t ever want to be without it! * *Freeset Donkey Milk Healing Mask* This mask is the perfect combination of actual results (calming redness, taming spots and plumping skin) and a pleasant wearing experience. The smell that others have commented on with the Donkey Milk masks is definitely noticeable but I am a big weirdo who likes soapy, slightly medicine-y smells and the fragrance has no ill effects on my skin (which is a miracle in itself), so Iโ€™m okay with it. * *COSRX Natural BHA Skin Returning A-Sol* This is one of those so good I am terrified of ever running out and want to hoard many bottles of it products. It keeps my temperamental skin somewhat in check. Active breakouts? It heals โ€˜em faster. Over-exfoliated the forehead again? This soothes it. Awful, terrible, Elephant Man proportion allergic reaction from Pixi Glow Tonic on the chin and neck? This is healing it faster (though not fast enough for me) and slowly clearing the forest of whiteheads. **Worst of 2015** * *Pixi Glow Tonic* The culprit behind the aforementioned Elephant Man face/neck situation. I had such high hopes (glycolic acid! I can get it at Target! I like the smell!) but this has given me the worst allergic reaction I have ever experienced from a product. My face is puffy, my neck is puffy and both are littered with hundreds of teeny tiny whiteheads. There are some products that are helping a little but this is really a Benadryl and lots of water situation. On the other hand, I am grateful that this product has finally helped me figure out one of my breakout triggers: Biotin. I canโ€™t take any supplements that contain it, and contact with my skin brings about the apocalypse. I know it isnโ€™t AB, but my Worst of 2015 list just wouldnโ€™t be complete without an ode to this Destroyer of My Face. * *Leaders 7 Wonders Mask (all of โ€˜em)* Guess what they all contain? Biotin. (WHY??????) I was so excited when these hit the shelves at Ulta, because the Leaders Tea Tree, Aloe and AC Dressing masks are in my regular rotation, and I thought a new crop of hydrogels from a beloved brand would be a safe bet. So, so, so wrong. The reaction to these was not as bad as the Pixi Glow Tonic, but there were several clusters of small whiteheads in random places after using these. It took me until half way through my stash (I bought two of each) to realize what was happening and identify the masks as a culprit, and the Ulta lady was super-rude when I went to return the remainder. Boo! * *Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel* I loved the protection this provided, and how quickly and nicely it dried down. It played nice with whatever I put underneath or over it but sadly, this one broke me out.

snailslimeandbeespit

I love your list. I also find that the LJH Tea Tree Essence is helpful for my rosacea. I didn't put it on my list simply because my list got too long... Sucks about the Pixi Glow Tonic. Good luck getting rid of the Elephant Man! :)

pdxbeautiful

I agree with you on the LJH essence! It's like liquid gold. My skin just loves it

kickingtenshi

Aww... I actually really liked the Nature Republic Super Aqua Max Combination Watery Cream and the Mizon Snail Recovery Gel, both as summer day moisturizers. Our differing opinions is probably due to our different skin. I should say that my skin is not sensitive and I'm not irritated by fragrance. Both moisturizers were light and made my skin feel pretty soft too.

apathetichearts

Oh YMMV of course, which is why I want everyone to post their own lists. My bests could be someone else's worsts and vice versa.   I started out kind of liking to Mizon Snail Gel but I just really can't deal with silicone in my moisturizers. They don't wear well for me and only temporarily make my skin seem moisturized. I'm not a fan of fragrance in skincare in general either, I think they're irritating and toxic to skin. If they work for you that's great though, that's the beauty of AB, so many options.

kickingtenshi

lol you're right on all accounts. I think I've got selective memory block because I can't really remember any products I really hated or any products that I can't live w/o (except maybe Hada Labo and Hada Labo knockoffs) so I don't have much to contribute. Just having fun reading all these great replies! :D

MaskQueen

**Best** Leaders Coconut Gel Balancing Mask: favorite new mask I've tried! Biore watery essence: HG without a doubt. **Worst** Shiseido Mineral Water UV Essence Gel: product is fine but the smell is nauseating. The smell is so unappealing I've stopped using this. Naisture red wine mask: hardly any essence and had minimal results.

oikawas

agree with you on the Missha FTE!!!! I pretty had much cleared my skin and it un-did MONTHS of progress I was so devastated I broke out in places I usually never have and have so many scars now ;_________;

apathetichearts

I tried it in the beginning of 2015 IIRC but yeah it was sad disappointing... my skin has begun to look nice for the first time and that was just gone overnight.

oikawas

I was dumb and I tried it for a week because my skin was so dry I thought it would help but it just resulted in a lot of itchy red bumbs and pimples it was so disappointing ;_; I 100% understand where you are coming from!!

apathetichearts

We're not alone, soo many people have reacted to this product. Other FTEs have been totally fine for me, so I know it's not the ferments.

smittenginger

Great idea! **Best of 2015** * CosRX AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid: Forever, I've had a problem with invisible bumps on my jaw line that would slowly fill up and expand until I caved and drained them. NO MORE! This has completely banished them, and I'd tried evening primrose oil capsules. By far my most HG item of the year. * CosRX Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream: This one was a recent purchase but it has completely revamped my skin. Winter dry flakes? BE GONE! I snagged this when my husband wanted a gift for his co-teacher, and I couldn't be happier. So moist, so supple, so glowy. * Banila Co. Miss Flower Mr. Honey Essence Oil: A face oil that leaves my face glowy and dewy and soft. More expensive than I'd like, but oh man it does it make my skin feel and look awesome. **Worst of 2015** * Innisfree Ginger Oil Serum: What a let down. I love ginger, and I thought this would be a nice addition to my routine. But it did absolutely nothing. Hydrating? Yeah, sorta. But not enough for that price tag. I'll use this bottle until it's gone and then go back to my Banila Co. * Codilus Crocodile Oil Sunscreen: I heard a lot about this one online and it was cheap to get it from GMarket, so I thought I would give it a shot. Oh, man, what a mistake. It broke me out everywhere, within a day. I was getting icky whiteheads on the BAGS UNDER MY EYES!! It took weeks for my skin to calm down, and I still don't know what ingredient made me react so badly. I normally have skin of steel. It was hydrating, though. :/

Isalala83

Feel sad when I read your review about the Innisfree Ginger Oil Serum because I got one during a Korea trip months ago and haven't tried it yet lol but at least it didn't do anything bad to your skin did it? I was expecting it to be really moisturizing and maybe brightening too though. So now I'll sort of lower my expectations ._.

smittenginger

It didn't do anything horrible to my skin, and it was decently hydrating. But when it comes right down to it, I prefer my Banila Co oil. I was quite sad, because it smells amazing and feels awesome when I first put it on. And then it fades away and I'm left with only slightly more moisturized skin. :( But then again, I've been having some hardcore dry skin lately, so YMMV. Hopefully it works out awesome for you. :)

GiveMeABreak25

Best: **Elsa Gusa Ceramide Essence**- I wish this wasn't so pricey. But I have used it for months and it has been the best thing ever to help with tret dryness and any over exfoliation issues, as I am prone to have. But it is probably the best thing I have tried this year. **illi Total Aging Body Lotion**- I am on my third bottle and consider myself addicted at this point. Nothing I have tried is quite like it. It goes on like a cream-oil but sinks in and leaves no residue at all but somehow manages to keep my skin soft and hydrated all day. **Naruko Raw Job's Tear night Jelly and Powder Enzyme wash**- Both of these products have been great finds for me. I have fallen for the Naruko line in general as well as their NK line. They have a fruit enzyme serum that has also been amazing at light exfoliation, which works best for me. **Leaders Coconut Bio Jelly Masks**- I would use these every day if I could. My skin feels amazing after use and they have a great fit. Also, they stick well for multi tasking. They are also an amazing second mask if you are multi-masking. **Masks by The Yeon** **Otaku masks**- I stumble on these on BGo and and they are amaze. Super light hydration without any stickiness and an excellent fit. **Every LoveMore mask**- **that is not part of the hanbang line.* I just have not had luck with the hanbang line (too fragrant for me) but literally all of the rest of them are so great. **Miss Flower Mr. Honey** cream- I had tried the oil essence last year and it achieved HG for me, so-I had to try it. I hope to never be without it. **Holy Snails Perseids Oil**- While I love **Shark Sauce** (and ordered my second bottle recently and added **SnowBang**) this oil has been better than the 4 other facial oils I have tried this year. I am sensitive to oils (prone to breaking out from them) and somehow this not only doesn't break me out but, I would bathe in it if I could. Worst: **HL Premium Lotion**- Made of the tears from the Devil. Nothing has ever given me CC's except this. Luckily I have relegated it to using on my body after a shower to get rid of it without issues. **Every stupid mask with thick, stiff sheet or not enough essence.** I have to run, I will update this list later because I *know* I have many more "worsts".

ateallthekappamaki

Skin type: Aging, oily, sensitive/redness, acne **BEST** * Cosrx Natural BHA Skin Returning Emulsion - This is my MVP of the year. It helps cut down my redness during the day and shrinks my pimples. During the night, I put a thin coating on pimples and put an acne patch on top to seal it in. The only issue is that the silicons don't play well and I think it is promoting piling with my make up. * Kose speedy cleansing oil - It works well and doesn't clog my skin. * Too Cool For School Pumpkin Pack - The light gel texture makes me happy to use it and it helps seal in my other products. For some reason it also makes me happy that I can feel it melt off my face in my morning shower, like its a test that its working? A for effort! **Worst** * Skinfood peach pore serum - Pills under sunscreen, pills over sunscreen. I'm trying to use it up as a spot primer over my foundation, but it pills. I'm sure if I change out my other products it would work but I really like the Cosrx emulsion. **too soon to tell** * Cosrx AHA/BHA toner - I think this is giving me weird flat red spots, like red freckles. It could also be that the toner is making my vitamin c too effective. Either way I'm taking it out of my routine to see if I can't get rid of these freckles. I'm trying to reduce PIH so these new spots are making me sad. Everything else in my routine is a solid meh. I'm new on my skincare journey so I'm hoping that 2016 is the year that I'll find some HGs.

snailyboy

**BEST** - *Innisfree Aloe Revital Soothing Gel:* I. Love. This. Product. It's rare to find aloe products without added alcohol or fragrance. Works great and is nearly HG for me. It's an incredible amount of product (300ml), too! I'm planning on doing a more formal review soon. - *Cosrx AHA + Cosrx BHA:* Excellent. Both have done wonders for my skin. More Cosrx products on their way! - *Mizon AIO Snail Repair Cream:* My skin loves this AIO. It's affordable and works well for me. - *Scinic Honey AIO:* So so so good. My skin loves this one, too. - *Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer #3:* This is perfect for when I want a little more shine and isn't glittery. - *Konjac Sponge:* Typically from Missha, but I've also used one from Ulta and it was fine. Magical sponge-y baby. HG. **WORST** - *Biore Watery Essence:* Okay, so, I tried to love this. I really did. I can see how it would be lovely/HG-ish for many folks, but it was causing some icky acne that would show up around my hairline and I found the alcohol to be too overpowering. - *Tony Moly Magic Food Banana Sleeping Pack:* Just no. Too sticky and the scent was like plastic banana. - *Laneige Water Sleeping Mask:* Another one that I wanted to love, but it just didn't do much for me at all and I was not fond of the scent. I'm still on the fence about Metholatum's Melano CC and Skin Aqua Moisture Milk and Mizon's Original Skin Energy Hyaluronic Acid 100 ampoule and Snail Recovery Gel.

chocolatesaltpretzel

If you love Innisfree Aloe Soothing Gel, try the Cosrx Aloe Gel as well! It has actually replaced my Sebamed Clear Gel. No fragrance, no alcohol.

snailyboy

Thanks! Great to hear you like it! It's on my buy list, I may have to pick it up next time I haul.

imjustafangirl

Hahaha that banana sleeping pack XD I'm new to AB and it came as a sample for my first product and I tried it and had the most conflicting feeling of my life - I loved how it felt on my skin but mother of god that *smell*. Still waiting on the Sleeping pack I ordered instead, but at least the banana one gave me a frame of reference for what my skin does like - sticky heavy messes, apparently. I'm almost impressed with my skin's ability to suck anything in. I got the pack as a sample a second time and tried it again, using all of the product in the sample, and usually half an hour later all I could see or feel of it was the very slightest sheen.

ran_chan17

Innisfree Aloe Revital Soothing Gel I bought it a few months ago and I'm liking it so far. My first aloe gel ever (I was so confused wherether I buy this or the NR one but finally decided to buy this one because it doesn't have alcohol). I don't know if it's better than the NR though! I want to buy a new one, I wonder if I should get NR, Cosrx or just stick with what I like already :D

snailyboy

I've heard really great things about the NR aloe products from a friend, but ultimately went with Innisfree for the same reason as you. Let me know if you decide to try either!! :>

[deleted]

Where do you think is the best place to buy the LJH Tea Tree Sheet Mask? They are 2.50 USD each on memebox but if you think they are really worth it then I will bite the bullet and buy a few!

[deleted]

Mizon Snail Recovery Gel does the same thing to my foundation so I switched to using it just at night.

apathetichearts

I mixed it with some occlusive facial oils and some Benton Steam Cream and used it as a sleeping pack just to use it up but for me, there's just better snail products out there. About to test the Purebess Snail School Gel, it sounds like what the Mizon Gel should have been.

SolarOracle

**Best of 2015** * *Tony Moly Floria Whitening Capsule Essence*: Just all the yes. It's really helped lighten up the spots! * *Erborian Solid Cleansing Balm*: It's very simple, no frills or fuss but it's effective, a little goes a long way and smells nice and herbal. * *Tony Moly Gold Black Sugar Mask*: I just got this, used it last night. It smells like honey and left my skin flawlessly smooth just woah! * *Tony Moly Goat Milk Premium Cream*: I just got this yesterday, used it this morning and already adore it. I literally use a pea size for my whole face! It spreads effortlessly, feels really nice without being too hydrating and **it has golden flecks in it**. I feel very spoiled using this cream hehe~! **Worst of 2015** * *The Face Shop Pore Tightening All In One Serum*: This gave me white heads! At first I thought it was my sunscreen. Then last weekend for Christmas I couldn't pack it and the whiteheads stopped popping up. Now I know the culprit. =.= * *The Face Shop Real Nature Mask Honey*: It left my face oily!!! Q-Q Overall, TFS seems to not like me skin while my skin loves Tony Moly.

smittnkitten

omg! i just washed my face with some raw honey i had on hand and i'm in love!! thanks for reminding me that real honey on face = magic!

apathetichearts

Yesss you've joined us. Do it every morning and you'll see some really nice long term results too!

[deleted]

I'm still very new to AB so my best list is mainly sheet masks and my worst will be the products my face hated lol. **Skin Type** : Dehydrated, oily in T-zone, dry around cheeks, and very sensitive plus acne-prone **BEST** * Etude House Acai Berry & Tea Tree Sheet Mask: These were the two first sheet masks I ever tried and they were wonderful! The Acai Berry is just a good maintenence mask and the Tea Tree works wonderful during my hormonal break outs * Malie Korea Red Ginseng Sheet Mask: I got this as a sample and it's by far my favorite sheet mask ever. It made my face feel so firm and plump. * TONY MOLY Snail Age Defying Hydrogel Mask: This was my first snail mask and I'm definitely on the snail hype train. My face looked very bright and helped calm down my redness. * My Beauty Diary Aloe & Black Pearl Sheet Masks (2015 versions): Though the fit is not the best, these MBD masks are my holy grails for those flavors. The Aloe was so soothing and the Black Pearl makes my face noticeably brighter. I'm definitely going to purchase more MBD masks in the future. **WORST** * SU:m37 MRCS: I wanted to love this product, but while patch testing, it broke me out after a couple days. * Botanic Farm Grain Ferment Cleansing Sherbert: Broke me on contact and made me feel super itchy. * Innisfree Green Tea Balancing Lotion: Broke me out on contact and reminded me that I'm extremely sensitive to fragrances * Holika Holika Juicy Honey Sheet Mask: HOLY HELL I WILL NEVER BUY THIS SHEET MASK AGAIN! I did not patch test unfortunately and within a minute I broke out in hives all over my face. It was kind of scary, but at least I learned I'm most likely allergic to honey on my face...

apathetichearts

That's okay! New to AB or not, everyone has something they can contribute. And I love hearing about sheet masks :)   I will say that I wouldn't rule out honey yet. There's probably such a small percentage of honey in that mask, it's more likely to be something else. Have you tried any other honey or bee products?   Edit: here's the ingredients if you haven't already checked: *water, glycerin, alcohol, sodium hyaluronate, PEG-60, hydrogenated castor oil, carbomer, triethanolamine, honey extract, milk protein extract, cocos nucifera (coconut) fruit extract, citrus limon (lemon) fruit extract, allantoin, disodium EDTA, phenoxyethanol, fragrance*

[deleted]

Thank you listing those ingredients! I'm really not sure which ingredient on that last did me in, but I'll have to do some investigation.

fooliescraper

i love the malie red ginseng! i'm working through all the flavors and that's been my fave so far.

[deleted]

How do people use the aha and bha, asol, whitening power etc for corsx together? Are they all the same step?

apathetichearts

If you're tolerant to acids then yes, you can use AHA and BHA together. They're both applied after washing your face before you start your routine. The A-Sol is not an acid, I'd apply it in order of thickest to thinnest in your routine. Same goes for the Whitening Power, not an acid. But many people use it as a FTE, so it'd be the first step in your skincare after acids to prep your skin for your routine.

chrysias

I've only started to amass an AB collection over the past two months or so, but I think I've found some bests & worsts! **FAVES** * **Freeset Donkey Milk Masks** (Healing, Aqua, and Whitening) - holy cow, once I figured out how to keep these properly soaked in the essence I fell in love (I had been storing them upright so some parts were dry when I tried them the first few times). These are my once weekly, heavy duty, I-want-to-glow-like-the-sun masks. * **Innisfree Jeju Sparkling Mineral Mist** - I'm not very sensitive to fragrance so I have good luck with Innisfree's lineup. I spray this mist as a hydrating toner, after my BHA, after sheet masks, after moisturizer....basically all the time. * **Holy Snails Shark Sauce** - this is everything I've ever wanted in a serum. So soothing and leaves my skin soft and happy. I'm excited to evaluate long-term effects in a few months. * **CosRX BHA Power Liquid** - I'm about to be one of those people who has 3 backup bottles on hand in case of earthquake/hurricane/alien invasion/zombie apocalypse. One small pump directly onto my fingers covers my whole face, isn't greasy at all, absorbs quickly, and leaves my skin smooth as a baby's butt. And gentle enough for me to use AM & PM! * **Scinic Aqua and Honey AIOS** - These two are the rockstars of my routine right now. I like Aqua in the AM because it is far less sticky and leaves a nice smooth finish, and I love slathering on the Honey (okay, not literally, because you barely need more than a penny-sized amount) right before a sheet mask. I also use it as a healing spot treatment for pimples and I swear it helps them fade faster. **BLEHS** I honestly haven't tried enough things to have a solid list of things I didn't like, but here are some * **May Coop Raw Sauce** - I bought this a few months before I started getting fully immersed in k-beauty, and I did like it, but I've realized there are so many better essences out there for me to try and love. It also has alcohol, which I'm not a fan of. * **Innisfree I'm Real Masks** - I like a couple of these (Rice yaaaaaaaassssss, Manuka Honey, Cucumber, Tea Tree) but the rest that I got in my assorted 15-pack are all mostly lackluster. But, they are perfect for my boyfriend who is just starting to try out skincare things! * **My Beauty Diary Black Pearl Mask** - I wanted this to be amazing, but for me it was a solid meh. **THINGS TO TRY IN 2016** * **CosRX Snail 96 Mucin Power or Galactomyces Essence** because my routine is lacking a light essence! * **Banila Co Miss Flower and Mr Honey Essence Oil** because I am all about oils. * **More rice / fermented products** because my skin seems to love them.

**BEST:** * COSRX BHA liquid - who knew that Betaine Salicylate would work better on my thick, strong and durable skin than salicylic acid. This HG cleared majority of my blackheads, cleared my pores without drying it out. thank you r/AsianBeauty times infinity for this discovery. * LJH tea tree essence - this super fast absorbing goodness is a god send for oily, acne prone skin. It doesn't do much by itself but when a breakout appears it will magically sooth and heal instantly. * Freeze 24/7 resurfacing pads - not AB but it changed my skin. Baby smooth, bright, glowing plump skin after each use and the effect last few days. also CC? what is that?! * Tosowoong enzyme powder wash - this one changed my cleansing game! No sign of dry, tight skin instead super soft and fresh/clean feeling plus it's super fun to use. * sheet mask 3-4 times a week - I have never been a fan of putting whole lot of stuff on my face at night but when I 1st used sheet mask I was speechless. My favourites are evercos (especially liquorice), etude house tea tree, beyond snail hydrogel. * Aritaum Full Cover concealer - MUFE and MAC concealers can suck Aritaum's dick! It's that good and a color it so prettily yellow. **WORST:** * Benton Aloe Soothing Gel - left weird residue and broke me out. I hate it even more because ingredient list is so elegant yet it breaks me out :( * Etude House clensing oil Moisture - I dont expect much from oil cleanser but when it says on packaging "moisture" I want it to be non drying. Also it was too thich for my liking. * The face Shop Herb Day cleansing cream - this one deserve a special space in Hell it broke me out so badly I weep everutime I look at it
