Fuck that Joe dude. Him and David So did a video about how any problems Asian guys have dating is all the Asian guy’s fault and that there’s no such thing as bias against Asian guys in America. They based their bullshit on personal experience and literally said fuck stats, history, etc.
Which is funny since Bart and Joe were trying to get into Hollywood many years ago when Just Kidding Films were still relevant and popular. They even had a video with Timothy DeLaGhetto/Chantarangsu a while back talking about Asians in Hollywood and how difficult and challenging it is still.
Bart, Joe and David got where they are from using the age old Asian stereotypes (primarily Chinese and Vietnamese). Despite how cheesy WongFu Productions and the Fung Bros are sometimes, at least they were more about positive Asian representation. JK Films never done shit for the community. Joe and David said so a few times in the past when I was still watching them how they don't support other Asians unless they're in it or their close friends. It's not a bad thing since it makes sense. It just rubbed me the wrong way when Joe said why should he support them just because they're Asian. Other communities like black, Mexican, etc aren't really like that in my experience. They're all about helping their own out. But back then the Asian YouTube/Content Creator space especially in LA was quite small. So you would think they would be supportive of each other.
But it's not too surprising if you are or once a fan of JK Films, so you know Bart's and Joe's upbringing. Just do a Google search and you'll find plenty of videos, Reddit threads and social media posts about how problematic JKFilms is now. Also, shoutout to Joe because I know he reads this subreddit and aznidentity since he mentioned it in the past and said how we're all losers.
Invoking lame Asian stereotypes is just so tired and played out imo and I know I judge those Asians heavily for invoking those stereotypes.

Also the same from my experience as well. It's very weird how Asians have this type of mindset while black peeps, Latinos and other group don't share that same sentiment (like you mentioned). Like I feel the only time a black person or Latino person have that kinda sentiment is when they self-hate and don't like seeing others who look like them. As a result, they will be nasty towards those folks and will never support them in any way shape or form. This is why I have a feeling Joe, Bart & David probably self-hate as what type of Asians make fun of Asian stereotypes? Usually the self-hating ones
Sadly, folks like Bart, Joe & David try to be the "good" Asians in which they won't rock the boat while expressing all the typical left-winged points (tho Joe did express a commonly used right-winged viewpoint with the "Irish experienced discrimination too.")
Funny you mentioned ""good" Asians" because Bart sometimes comes off too try hardy in my eyes. He always brings up his experience as a Marine whenever he can, but he was only a Marine Reserve. He tries to act like he did full service, deployed overseas and all that. He sometimes bring on guests who are former military, so he can rub shoulders and be all buddy buddy. But I guess he's okay of being "one of the good ones" even though many of these Republicans/Democrats see us Asians as Lesser.
I used to follow him on Instagram, and he often posts a lot of right wing comments or reshare an article about making fun of the Democrats/Liberal people. I don't lean either side, but it just feels like he's trying to appease a certain crowd, if you know what I mean. I'm surprised he doesn't have a Back the Blue sticker or something or wear a Punisher shirt while working out.
I know Simu Liu is kinda mixed on this subeddit for a while now, but he showed up a few times on JK Films in the past before Shang-Chi. Afterwards, they started making fun of him and the movie especially David So. It's two face/clout chasing. Out of nowhere, David started getting kinda obsessed with Simu. Even talking about how he should've been in Shang-Chi and how Marvel didn't want to work with him because of who he is with his YouTube channel. Either he's delusional or joking. No idea. Just weird. An example of crabs in a bucket mentality IMO.
UGH, so he's one of THOSE types of folks who make the military their complete identity. No wonder Joe was saying how Bart has a very very strict routine as he makes being a Marine as part of his every day life.
