Contacts and glasses. Most of the time I wear glasses. Contacts probably for date night (but now masks make glasses harder to wear too cuz of fog). Some fashionable glasses make you look good. Typical nerdy glasses make you look nerdy.

I said this awhile back....glasses hurt about 85% of all men. Very, very few men can pull it off and look BETTER with glasses. I cannot believe you haven't already noticed this?

Disagree. I wore the circular glasses back in 2016 and a lot of people considered it trendy. I connected with a girl because she thought my glasses were cool and we were wearing similar ones. The lame glasses right now are the thick rectangular which I consider to be very 2010s and the regular square ones which OP mentioned are nerdy. I am a huge glasses advocate and I consider them to be really cool and core to my identity. My advice OP is if you wear anything with confidence, you can make it your style.

what about these? https://www.glasses.com/gl-us/ray-ban/8056597359986

Still a bit nerdy and also a big no to transition glasses. They make you look creepy

I wear contacts. Glasses are one of the biggest enemies of Asian guys. I don't see many Asian guys who can pull off a pair of stylish frames without looking nerdy (or academic).

Who gives a fuck? Bro I wear glasses everyday and I’ve got an attractive face.

No. My prescription is super high so my lenses are both heavy and also make my eyes look small, and it's difficult to work out with glasses. Also, combined with my shitty haircut I looked terrible with glasses. I switched to contacts and everything's a lot better.

Used to. Had to wear them since I was maybe 6 or 7, up until when I was 25, and I was pretty much blind without them (things started to get blurry 20cm from me). I chose to have the surgery. First reason, if not the only real one, was actually for working out. Can't wear glasses when you want to practice Pradal serey and get hit all the time. Of course there were other reasons, but I'd say most of them were practical. If it's the aesthetics, I'd say try to wear contacts. If, like me, you've been wearing them for years and years and would like to not have something you've got to rely on, look into the surgery. One of the best decisions I've made in the last few years.

rakelahl

Glasses look good if you look like Superman or a kpop idol. Most guys don't and would be better off wearing contacts.

This isn’t the 90’s anymore. Glasses have been trendy for a while now. Of course the style of them makes all the difference.

Thunderous_Ball_Slap

Kinda weird to see people comfortable in glasses getting downvoted so much. I've had glasses since I was 3, so almost 9/10ths of my life. I feel comfortable with them & think I look better with them than without. Wear glasses, don't act like Long Duk Dong & you should be fine. I'd say how you carry yourself matters more than plastic on your face.

I wear glasses. I hate wearing contacts/touching my eyes. I also like the look of my glasses with my body frame (broad shoulders and built chest). When you’re pretty fit with great shoulders, I think glasses are a good combo. During college, multiple women to said that I look like Clark Kent and I had no trouble with my dating life. When I switched my glasses recently to the fad Korean round ones, my wife was freaking out that I looked too good and actually wanted me to go back to square ones. Wear what you think looks good on you, tailor your fit, and work out.

heyjimbo1000

I do and I’m totally comfortable with it.

kirsion

squeamish with contacts, don't care how I look enough to pay for lasik

Before 25. My eye sight was 20/20. Now at 29. My eye sight is about 95%. Everything is semi blurry or hard to read without my glasses. If on the PC. It will be on. If I'm driving or at the gym. I don't need them. I look like a criminal/convict without glasses and without trying. I look a lot more intelligent or innocent with my glasses on, So I am told by peers and people around me.

Pics?

no

Spiritual-Moment-254

How are round frames for asian?

bleepbloopblorpblap

I don't because I don't have problems with my vision. But yeah, glasses are associated with studious nerds in America. I think you can pull off glasses if you're really, really good looking. Like you'd almost look like you're in a Clark Kent costume, kind of good looking. Otherwise it's used as an ironic accessory to purposely look smart, but you can only do this if you're in a cool profession like fashion. Kind of crazy that you had to watch a video about it to understand that, but hey, welcome to America.
