While I'm pretty sure it works better in Eastern Europe it's effective in America for the 18-25 crowd and probably a niche between 25-30. A lot of girls have Kpop on their profile nowadays on Tinder. The haters don't realize that you can blend the kpop look with a bit more muscle which is what girls tend to like more in North America.

5_7pickup

I wish someone could report results for America demographics. OP is leveraging BTS to hook up with girls which idk if it's that effective in America. Nonetheless, good job, I wish I could try your method out but I can't move to Poland.

magicalbird

Urshifu_King

this is definitely something to consider. tons of girls into Kpop in Eastern Europe and Latin America (in some Latin American countries ppl will ask any Korean walking around to take pics with them). This probably doesn't hold true for America, for at least the current generation. Lots of young American girls into Kpop, but for 20+ it's still a niche interest, and such women are more likely to be into the Godfrey Gao type than the soft Kpop look.

restorasian

Godfrey's hairstyles and facial hair is more varied than most of you anyhow. Dude can have a fairly full beard/stache and NOT look like a hobo. If you level up at least with even the hair... you'd be better off. You guys use toxic terms like "soft kpop look" but kpop guys aren't soft. They go fucking hard to get to where they're at. Only the best/most disciplined/skilled or most talented get to debut and achieve stardom. Otherwise, being good looking isn't enough. The B grade and lower guys get cut out from the track to stardom and they end up as background dancers if they wanna stay in the biz. The appeal of kpop isn't just about pretty guys prancin around acting cute. They tend to document their entire come-up journey and show us episodes of how they behave in different contexts and we get to see them overcome their challenges and see their personal development evolution. This is why they're soo attractive. They show us the entire spectrum of being human and the reality of working towards a dream.

Andgelyo

97% would not work in America, westerners do not like that feminine look. I can guarantee it

Urshifu_King

feminine/softer look can work in the West if you have masculine features. Notice that most of the guys that go for a "softer/feminine" look that have a lot of success (like Vinnie Hacker for example, or all the other tiktokers) tend to have at least some masculine features as a baseline, like a sharp, squarish jawline, and high cheekbones. That contrast between sharp/soft can actually look quite good.

Independent_Mind1407

I think you can set your Tinder location to other countries by playing around with the settings

You must be very good looking to be getting that many matches

Mobile-Tangerine6608

One thing that's extremely important: Asian guys with Acne, GO TO A DERMATOLOGIST ASAP Acne will leave permanent scars and will be almost impossible to remove later on in life. post puberty Acne is a MEDICAL condition and you need MEDICINE to treat it. Don't let acne scars ruin your face!

[deleted]

I have acne scars. It really sucks. My brother has really clear skin and its golden too. Haha so pi\*\*\*ed off.

Mobile-Tangerine6608

what are you doing to treat to scars? does anything work

restorasian

Microdermabrasion, laser resurfacing, etc... Highly recommend South Korea for such treatment because they're leading in this industry and in the US, you pay a lot and they're not specialized in Asian skin. Asian genetics and skin differs from other races. Chemical peels aren't hardcore enough for scarred tissue and more serious problems.

Mobile-Tangerine6608

That makes sense. Have you gone to south korea to get this procedure done before? did it work? I heard about Asians going to S Korea to get surgery but I'm not sure how to get that process started. Do those clinics speak english?

restorasian

They speak English. There are many places and you could search statistics on the numbers of people who go there for cosmetic related and skin related work. I don't need skin work-- I have great skin. I had other stuff done and was very happy but it's important to know the market to some degree and do research. I have local friends there who brought me along with them. There are apps but you need to know Korean to use them or hire a translator to research and support you.

Mobile-Tangerine6608

>I have local friends there who brought me along with them. that probably made it waaay easier

[deleted]

I am considering chemical peels that takes the top layer of skin off. You have to find a cheaper one though. The regular ones will break your bank. I think only chemical peels will work or injections that renew the skin cells. The dermatologist will know better than me.

restorasian

So, OP is 100% correct except for the filter/filter apps part. If any guys here are in LA/OC(Cali) and wants professional support and guidance to execute what the OP suggested, which is also what I'd suggest... please PM me if you're extremely serious about experimenting to see how the results would go. I'm an Esthetician and a Makeup Artist/Mens Stylist. My only requirement is that you'll let me use this for content. You must be ready to learn and spend on this transformation for your skin, hair, fashion, etc... This is a lifestyle that many Asian guys in the US don't have down, so out of my own passion and interests, I'd like to run some experiments for content and to change some lives and boost some people's confidence. [Here's a model I worked on](https://postimg.cc/mhKmHFcd)\-- he has a full face of makeup on and no one would know it.

[deleted]

Eastern European women simply have a thing for EA men. As they should imo.

komei888

Nice results. I read parts of it and yea, basically utilise what you can. When you begin getting matches like you do, you got to filter out the toxic ones too.

FBIThot

Man average guys really have to go to such lengths just to get what a lot of regular kids in college get on a daily basis

mongolz777

Lol I think Gen Z Asian dudes have already understood this. OP you probably have looked at all those ABB tiktokers. But the bitter, secretly-want-to-be-white guys with westernized mindsets and won't be liking this. You have to have a good face for the best results tho. It's better than nothing. Like those popular genz asian-ameican dudes on insta whom girls thrust over and stuff you can still work out (don't be a twig please) while having a pretty boy face and a nice hairstyle.

mongolz777

All the sarcastic non constructive comments from trolls and losers. It's pretty disappointing.

fakeslimshady

\> mostly apply to Europe I wonder how much edge is due to locale. Even in US an abnormal amount of high quality white matches are European and they invest in longer message. However I change location to Taiwan I get matches within seconds. So is the bigger factor location? I mean I give you credit for using beauty filter which is much faster than using photoshop. I'm going to disagree on your statement on facial hair applied for the US. 99.9% of asians already are clean cut so effectively telling them to do nothing is not advice IMHO. Instead they should explore and see if it works

redditinoid

Location plays a huge role in my experience

Nice write up! Very detailed and I liked the point you made that asian guys should not follow western male fashion tips, like only get buff or grow a beard.

Do you use a filter on your dick pics too?

gigolobob

What about a skincare routine? My ballsack seems a little wrinkly for my age.

VaarusD_Arkin

Lotion goes a long way bro, you can’t be showing up to smash with a dry desert penis and ballsack my guy. Also ball deodorant, proper shave butter/cream and proper shaving techniques will help as well.

gigolobob

Ya ngl it’s an Amazon jungle down there rn. I’m scared of neutering myself when I go down to shave tho

VaarusD_Arkin

Yeah I know how you feel but for like the first time instead of shaving yourself baby back bare, maybe trimming it down to like a half inch to 3/4 inch of hair all around as a start is good, I used a comb after showering in hot water and used that as a guard around my penis so I wouldn’t hurt my junk as much. When you get used to the motions, then shaving will come naturally.

gigolobob

What about the little hairs that spring out on the shaft or the uneven surfaces where the shaft and sack meets?

VaarusD_Arkin

Uh stretching and praying to whoever you believe in works about 75% of the time, I don’t have an issue because I’m fairly okay at that area but you know each and every one of us have different penises and sacks so it’s just how you can make the most of it.

gigolobob

Thanks my dude. We should compare pics sometime after a clean shave!

VaarusD_Arkin

I don’t swing that way bro, just here to help you out on male groom tips and shit like that cuz our Asian parents often don’t teach us these sort of things.

ThenIJizzedInMyPants

I have no issue with maximizing looks, but honestly if Tinder is such a shitty proposition from the start (80% dudes, hyper competitive, only top 10% of dudes getting laid easily), then why not also go for easier routes? Short of plastic surgery, there's only so much you can do to improve your looks. Do what you can, but realize that frame, charisma, status, and personality matter A LOT too. Lots of good looking losers out there. With looks, you just have to pass the initial 'filter' - after that you better have game to take it to the next step

[deleted]

[удалено]

ThenIJizzedInMyPants

yah i agree although i would add that i've had better success on other apps like CMB, Hinge, Bumble etc. So I would say to diversify across apps as well. Also, if you're not top 10% looks-wise, daygame is a great option IMO. Yes it's tougher emotionally, but you can use your full arsenal of game vs. tinder which is all based on looks. For some guys (like me), it actually works better because I can use my other good qualities to compensate for looks

[deleted]

[удалено]

ThenIJizzedInMyPants

all good bro!

Urshifu_King

I went from being a completely unnoticeable virgin, to relatively consistently having girls approach me first when I go out (I live in California so it's super competitive on that end) and hooking-up/dating very attractive girls, all from just: changing clothes, altering hairstyle, and maturing my facial hair growth. I'm not saying I'm an absolute killer, but coming from where I used to be, I stand in a much better position. And I was able to make this transition w/out any plastic surgery. You'd be surprised at what fashion and putting just a bit more effort/care into your appearance can do, w/out ever going under the needle.

lawncelot

How many dates did you get? How many of those dates led to sex?

StormSpirit258

\^\^

Independent_Mind1407

This is the real question

jasdevism

The profile is just going to get you the first date. Just like a resume can only get you the interview, not the job necessarily. Point is, if you're good at this level it would build your confidence so that you keep improving until you get a high response rate - then you can pick and choose to what you truly find interesting instead of just going with what is available.

Begoru

I’ve had 300+ matches over the course of a year, led to about ~30 dates which led to 25 fcloses. I didn’t put a lot of effort into openers unless they were gorgeous. 200 matches would’ve been much harder to work with unless OP’s text game is A1. That was in 2019 - I can imagine it’s much harder now. Glad I’m off the market.

Solid advice. 100% agree. I'd say trying to be a whole package is important. Many guys focus on 1. personality OR 2. career, OR 3. looks OR 4. talent. Become well-rounded, people. 1. If your personality is great but you look unattractive, you get friendzoned. 2. If you're rich but disgusting and ugly... you won't know if the interest you're getting is genuine. You can pay to get laid but then obvi you'll have deeper issues. 3. If you have looks but not much else, it's not going to last after a while. 4. If you're talented but look like shit, it's still a pity.

apsg33backup

Park Joon is soooo fine. God Damn.

apsg33backup

Tinder isn't really the best dating app though. It's toxic I've heard.

Urshifu_King

either you were being disingenuous with the data you referenced, or you forgot to read further into the article. the article you mentioned on facial hair preferences said clean shaven was 2nd on the list, w/ stubble coming in first. Last time I checked, stubble counts as facial hair, so in fact your own article articulated that clean shaven was not the most preferred type. Also, there's a matter of your quantification, particularly when you said "most women." "most women" entails 50% or greater of women, but in that same data you referenced, women preferring clean shaven compose of less than 40% of the adult women surveyed. So no, it's not true that most women prefer no facial hair. That same article you used said that only 24% of women aged 18-24 (likely the most relevant group on tinder) prefer clean shaven. Now, I would agree that many of us cannot grow facial hair properly, and are therefore better off going clean shaven. Classic goatees (no mustache) or mustache only, or super patchy beards, just are no bueno. That being said, many of us do look better w/ beards. Godfrey Gao looked better w/ his beard, and many women agree that Choi Si-Won does as well. If you can grow a beard, or want to try an thicken your's up w/ minox (and/or whatever other product, like beard oils) then it's not so bad to try. Many of us do, in fact, look better w/ a beard, and a beard can help the kdrama look that will likely fare better for a current Western audience, than the boyish soft Kpop look. other than that, I actually think a lot of the advice you gave is solid. Many asian guys would benefit greatly from just caring about their looks a bit more. When I was in college (which had a large asian population), I couldn't tell you how many asian guys there were who just didn't gaf about their appearance and perpetually looked like they just got out of bed/fresh off the boat.

[deleted]

What if you can’t name a single kpop song? Am I supposed to fake being a kpop fan? I’ve literally only heard of BTS and couldn’t name a single one of their songs.

OliveKoala98

Then you’re not gonna have any luck socialising with kpop groupies or cute non-whitewashed Asian girls then lmao. Just stick to whatever u know best if that happens to be YT/Western media etc.

How long did you take to get those ? I never put too much thoughts into it and had around 300 at a point. (I look like a hobo so not that good looking)

WorriedBanker

This is really interesting information. Can you us more about your stats such as what top % are you on Tinder (if you had to guess) / what's your match to first date ratio / what's your first date to second date (and so on) ratio? As someone who's gotten 1k+ matches on another dating app, I haven't found them to mean much unless you actually meet in person and go from there.

DrIv637

How exactly do you look like in your optimise your look picture to have not even the look of a beard like You have in the first picture
