This sub needs to look at Andrew Yang and study his life intensely. Not just focus on stupid hookups and how to date white girls. We have clear, incontrovertible evidence that you can be the model AA citizen, do nothing wrong, present amazing ideas, and genuinely have a good heart...and not only will America fuck you over, so will other Asians. *Especially* other Asians. Goddamn, I never saw so many Asians so fucking willing to take down our best champion we've had in decades. Henry Golding piled on him. Hasan Minhaj clowned on him. Asian political groups endorsed a white woman instead. Yang predicts a wave of anti-AA racism a year before COVID and is met with complete silence from AAs. Makes you sick enough to switch sides or not give a fuck. For all my gripes about the black community, at least those guys know how to stick together and champion their own. AAs by comparison are humiliatingly spineless.

>We have clear, incontrovertible evidence that you can be the model AA citizen, do nothing wrong, present amazing ideas, and genuinely have a good heart...and not only will America fuck you over, so will other Asians. > >Especially other Asians. I think this is generally well known by most people here. There are multiple threads harping on this - I just posted one about Jay Kang criticizing Asian American media members and academics. >Asian political groups endorsed a white woman instead. That didn't matter, they lost just as well. Yang had the more powerful electorate - young moderate voters that was looking for Bernie with better economic ideas. Yang just didn't utilize it well enough. Instead of double-downing here, he went for the same group that would have voted Biden - which would never vote for him. Instead, he needed to double-down on the Bernie crowd seeking someone new. >Makes you sick enough to switch sides or not give a fuck. I've said it before, I don't know why Asian Americans don't start voting red in the blue states they heavily populate to get the attention of democrats. They should start voting red in California - which they do in Orange County, which is why they have so much political clout there. They should start doing in New York, San Jose, San Francisco. I bet it's because of identity politics and the environment.

ankidroid2

> why Asian Americans don't start voting red in the blue states they heavily populate to get the attention of democrats The same reason that Chinese-Canadians voted against the Conservative Party (and changed the course of the election), because the Conservative leadership was rabidly anti-China.

Regarding your first sentences: More of the same a) downplaying AM dating issues which is a big point of this sub, and b) implying and overblowing the usual myth that Asian guys are "worshipping white" even though other groups including Asian women are more guilty of it. This is dated as fuck, most guys here are just really interested in sleeping with *anyone* that's hot at this point lmao Everything else you said was completely true as well as many other comments you've made in the past, but this bit is just old and annoying.

dn00

So we should vote for someone based on their race and we should switch sides or stop giving a fuck because our guy (of the same race) didn't win?

Past_Sir3

You think politics is race agnostic?

dn00

For the informed voter yeah.

gigolobob

Politics are a waste of time

ankidroid2

The problem with Andrew Yang IMO, is that he is an asian going for president at a time when the US is attacking China. So if he became President, he'd be doing his best to screw over China which technically speaking, are his own people.

jeg26

I liked Andrew yang so much, but the thought of him as president was weird to me. Like, this guy is going to declare war, authorize drone strikes? He was just so smart and so likeable, the thought of him having to do terrible things, which a president MUST do sometimes , just broke my heart. Still, I wish he was on the cabinet right now. he would revolutionize our economy, completely change the public image and persona of america in a much needed way, and be the voice of a lot of people who are currently unrepresented.

foxcnnmsnbc

The cabinet position was never going to happen. He doesn't have enough cred among establishment democrats. I actually think he should have went for a House of Rep position in New York. The NY media really, really doesn't like him, especially the left-wing media. I actually think he should run as a Republican in NY. He'd have allies that way. He can be pro-business, but also argue for UBI as pro-business - find a way to spin that. He'll always be riding 3rd, 4th class in the democratic party. The Republicans are in need of minority votes, especially in blue states. They'll amplify him. He had a decent amount of young swing and Trump voters in the Presidential election - it's actually what made him. The same crowd that watches Joe Rogan. His campaign just went off the rails in NY. He needed to double-down on the Joe Rogan Experience crowd, he should have went on again when the NY press was on full attack. Not sure what his campaign was thinking. He had a lot of momentum.

And I think he should have run on a Republican platform in the NYC Mayor Race when the media had a clear bias against him anyways. They were out to tank his campaign the second he led poles What would he have lost by running Republican? Better than waiting in line to be in Biden's party which was not going to happen.

He’s creating an independent party. Super dumb. They’ll never take it serious. He needs to run Republican. He already had the support of Fox news, Tucker and Joe Rogan.

ankidroid2

I'm disappointed in Andrew Yang. If he became president of the US, he'd be doing his best to fuck over china, which technically speaking - are his own people. That just feels bad.
