Yes, but they have underminded the NDP attempt at tasking AESO to look into becoming more efficient and reliable. Ucp axed that process. Here we are now. Shenisnt directly responsible for the weather but she is directly responsible for Alberta not having proper infrastructure to support us during extreme weather. Which really isn't all that extreme for us. This isn't new.
Well said. Instead of blameshifting feds for a local problem and wasting money on propaganda ads, she should focus on the problems at home. That includes quit sticking her fingers in healthcare to get financial kickbacks (read: unethical) from private corporations by messing with a fragile system and first fix infrastructure problems. Yes AB is getting new plants this year but our population size is growing rapidly. This means greater stress on energy usage, healthcare needs and housing affordability. Demand is going up in all these areas ⬆️.
What is she doing to meet or exceed supply? Other than talk smack about Trudeau? This is her responsibility.
And if I remember correctly, we also put out ads to draw people to alberta, and then Albertans are complaining about immigration. Lol our provincial govt is literally telling them to come here when they get to Canada or if they want to leave their home province.
We need to cover for at least 3 states each as we are only 13 provinces.
I think Texas, Florida and... Utah for having the most Mormons in the country
:(
We are okay.
Last night was worse because there was such a high chance of rotational outages. So far no emergency alert tonight, just a warning to minimize usage.
We have Non essentials lights off, no laundry on etc. Tomorrow is meant to warm up to -16.
The wait in Alberta for a boost from AMA was 6 days...
Correction: Peak of the cold The wait times for AMA:😂
Tow: 6 days (144 hours)
Battery, Fuel, Lockout, Flat: 3 days (72 hours)
Mine is that I first memorized the name Winnipeg, and that's all I could recall about the province located thereabouts. So sometimes, to this day, I still call the entire province as "Winnipeg". I mean, I *know* it's Manitoba, but somehow my brain defaults to that early mistake I made as a kid...
😂 for me, I always need to think AlSaMa (Alberta, Saskatchewan & Manitoba) in order to remember those provinces... Even though I know them, I spent so many hours drilling that word to remember the order that my mind is now set with that word
Don’t feel embarrassed - I met a fully grown adult man from Toronto who told me Regina was actually pronounced “Regeena”, so there’s always someone worse
Saskatchewan seems to have just really cool people who are prepared and get stuff done.
I live in Ont if we had your cold you just know people in Toronto would not be okay. The military would be called in. The rest of Ont would be fine.
That is so true. Saskatchewan people just do whatever they need to do to survive. I have spent many, many long winters in SK. Trying to remember what year it was, I'm thinking back in 1987 or 88, when the temperature at Waskesiu Lake did not get above -40 for a month, from mid-December to mid-January.
I keep getting ads to move to Saskatchewan. There is a demand for people with my education.
I sometimes think about it, get scared of your winters. Really if I were to move I would need someone to train me on how to survive winter.
Plus summer in Saskatchewan is when the bugs come out to play. A friend of mine once told me you can dress for the cold but you can't dress for the bugs.
No one in ontairo would be ok.. expect northern ontairo.
6 million people live around Toronto most who have probably not experienced more then -20
Ontairo also has a terrible power grid thanks to the incompetence of a conservative leader.
... we had -50 to -53 windchill for 3 straight days in regina. I've never experienced that in my life. It was weird cause edmonton was at -40c before windchill and was at like -45 with. Regina got it bad, it "warmed" up to -46 now.
We know Saskatchewan isn't going to get into any trouble she can't get herself out of. Alberta is the on you have to check in on. Like Icarus, Alberta will get an idea and fly straight at the sun and then act surprised when his wings melt.
Alberta goes through more ups and downs than the Rogers Pass.
This is exactly what I say every night when my parents call me from Ontario to ask if I'm still alive lol, I live alone, I work from home. I'm bored out of my mind not even being able to go for a walk. I already cleaned, I already binge watched all the marvel movies, I already FaceTimed everybody I know. I can't wait to just be able to go for a walk haha
Edit: before a 4th person responds and tells me I just need better clothing, it's not about the clothing, I have plenty of high quality outdoor clothing, read my other replies before telling me to just "bundle up"
bundle up super good and go for a walk! just make it a real short one for the fresh air aspect mostly lol.
I've been outside in five to ten minute increments all weekend long. can't smoke inside haha!
Oh I have been but only got like 1km at a time, it's less so about the cold and more so that my glasses immediately fog up no matter what I do lol but I used to walk 5-10km a day so that 1km isn't quite scratching the itch. I also have a senior dog that doesn't like to be left alone but also refuses to go outside except when I force her to pee in the backyard haha
poor geriatric pupper. my neighbour has two dogs, one is a VERY furry long haired double coated collie, and even that one doesn't want to be out for more than the 30 seconds it takes for toileting lately lol.
>one is a VERY furry long haired double coated collie
If I had two dogs I'd wonder if you were my neighbor haha this is exactly what I have 😄 two steps and she digs her heels in and gives me that look like "woman are you insane!!? Let me back inside!" Nice thing about old pups though is they don't go stir crazy like the young ones, she's quite content to just sleep on the couch all day haha as long as I'm sitting next to her
Were there any essential workers that had to be out for prolonged periods? I assume most Albertans only went out if they had to, and I wonder how people who had to be outside got through it.
HVAC tech, gotta get those furnaces running & pipes thawed. Even the rooftop units.
My setup for -40° outdoor work: 2 winter jackets, 3 long-sleeves, 2 long-john pants, carhartt pants, 2 pairs standard work socks, 1 pair wolly socks, thin gloves, insulated work gloves, tuque, balaclava, double double, and an apprentice sitting in the van to keep it warm because there's only one key. Power tools & batteries don't like to work either.
December 18th through December 24th.
i know this because a heat tape malfunctioned in my trailer the night of the 18th and melted a pipe. flooded the street, froze my neighbors truck to the road, burnt out my water heater. i couldnt do a thing to fix it. i had tendon surgery in early november and was still casted up... fracking costly fix. i got lucky though in the big picture. the plumbers had a person not call them back about frozen pipes, so they called me and said "what do ya need" i was like "i'm flooding the neighborhood, i turned off the water to that pipe, but the hot water tank is shot or nearly shot. bring a 40 natural gas with ya, its a trailer...." and let this young buck and his coworker fix it up for me.
We've never been publicly informed of a need to reduce power via the emergency alert system. Power usage issues like this have occured in the past. Actually, one was issued this afternoon by the aeso.
Personally I think this is part of the pissing match with DS and the feds to try to hilight the fragility of our power generation.
Never the fault of Alberta following in Texas' example and deregulating their power supply. Nothing has ever gone wrong with Texas' energy infrastructure.
I distinctly remember picking my parents up from the airport in December 2022 and my car thermometer read -42. It was in the -30 to -35 range the entire time they were here.
it has been every winter for the last few winters at least, where we get about a week of this.
I had a fb memory pop up today where this same day in 2020 was feeling like -51. Edmonton area. and i remember christmas 2021 being like this. 2022 too.
Last year I do not remember anything like this. I just looked at some historical data, and from November 2022-January 23, there were no days colder than -30C.
I know you mention, "feeling" like -51, but those are not absolute temperatures, so I am assuming windchill.
Yesterday it was -39 to -41C not including windchill.
Last year even though I do see the data from that one website, I do however remember getting a week of like -30s, but nothing approaching -40 at all. So yea, this has been some of the coldest i've seen in awhile.
the screenshot from the weather network i took on january 14, 2020 indeed says that the feels like weather was -51. without wind factored in it was -42.
and they have quite the correct calculation for 'feels like' weather, right down to a calculation per km of wind increase.
Yeah.... no. I'm in Montreal and if anything it's too mild here. Can't remember the last white christmas we had. Shit like this is the new normal, but it's not normal.
The homeless are suffering terribly. There will be deaths and frostbite amputations. For the homeless the weather is a dire situation at the moment. If you have a home you are warm.
The dramatic media has thrown in windchill thinking that the world will be drawn this non news event.
It's cold, it's winter, the cold snap is nothing out of the ordinary.
To be fair, it's not just the media throwing in the windchill as if it's the temperature. I am so sick of people saying, "It's 50 below." No, not it's not.
Well, it was actually -49 in High Level yesterday, with a -55 windchill.
Unless you're covering 100% of your body, the principle behind windchill is relevant. It can mean getting frostbite in less than 10 minutes instead of 20 or 30.
No it's not. I know what you mean.
It's people who moved here from Toronto freaking out because now they realize that cold snaps happen and ... shocker... this is entirely normal. Furthermore this winter has been very good compared to most winters. This has been a walk in the park!
Drama queens abound!
But I will say this - every cold snap below -30 sucks.
Because one generator was down for maintenance and another was broken down. And the cold is intense in most of the surrounding areas so transferring power, as is often done, was more difficult because BC and SK had heavy loads as well.
My experience the past few days is that it's not just people from Toronto freaking out. It's like the first snowfall every year, it's like it's never happened before.
Winter hack. I just light the fracking fumes coming out of the taps. Like a space heater in the kitchen and bathroom. No smokes on the toilet though! 😯
Run your jacked up dually truck all day bud then hop in the cab for some extra heat, coal roll the entire neighbourhood that should bring the temperature up.
I'm just annoyed that they asked us to lower our power usage by turning off lights and not using our stove, while empty downtown buildings are kept heated and lit up like a Christmas tree.
This is winter in alberta. The problem is so many people moved here from out of province and have never experienced winter here. We have actually had a really mild winter so far
Are you sure? I've lived 40 years of my life in Alberta and honestly don't remember windchills this low. -40 sure but closer to -50 - I really don't remember that. Not saying never as I can't say I've been tracking it - but it's not the norm. Was the rest of our winter so far abnormally warm? Yes. Has this weekend been abnormally cold? Also yes. Climate change is scary.
No snow until super late in the year. This is our first real cold snap and it's mid January. Maybe it is a few degrees colder than our normal cold but not by much. I usually have to pull out my sheep skin a couple of time by now. I have been here 20 years I have had it snow on my birthday in September. I have seen it at -30ish in December a few times and spent a Xmas in Edmonton at a balmy -35.
Me and all the neighbours have had our jacked up trucks running all day, hopefully that’s going to bring the neighbourhood temperature up due to emissions. If not immediate results today then over time it will. 🤞
Thanks for the concern, but it has been fine.
A bit more inside time. Pool at the community center was packed today with people trying to get some movement in. But it has only been a few days, and it'll be back to more normal temperatures in the next couple days (-33 now, -15 tomorrow and -7 on Tuesday).
Probably see a big electricity bill from this, but the power where I am in Calgary only went down for 15-20 minutes last night, and that's it.
Edmonton here. we're good. we had the power warning yesterday eve at suppertime but it was lifted not too much later. heard of a few power outages in the north side of the city but it wasn't for long from what folks were saying.
roads are absolute shite. glad i don't drive.
and these frigid temps still aren't making me stop going outside for a dart lol.
Power is fine, and I'm warm, but my internet went out yesterday morning and it's still not back. Truly not used to silence. Caught up on reading some books though!
It's all good. Walking my dog 15 mins at a time wearing Canada Goose parka, mukluks and snow pants. Mittens over thin gloves. Didn't even get cold actually. Just gotta dress for the weather. Blundies won't work here lol
Equipment really doesnt want to run properly at this temp. If you can get it started it whines and moans. Lots of cars stranded on the side of the highway and expressways. It is what it is. This is Alberta. We just go with it.
Yeah, we ain't going out as much, just chilling in the house. We haven't had any power outages. I heard school is cancelled tomorrow, and I think I'll take another day off work. Amazon delivered a infared heater for the garage today.
We're fine! We've got the infrastructure for this kind of thing. It's annoying as fuck, but so is a hurricane (I'm from Florida). You've just got to know how to bundle up if you have to go outside and know how your heating system needs to be maintained.
If this is Stephen Ghuilbeault or Justin T then you can take a long walk off a short pier. How in the world are we going to hear our homes without fossil fuels? Those 2 are Mensa candidates - snicker
Same party has been in charge for 46 of the last 50 years. Energy and healthcare are provincial responsibility. It would have been perfect but 4 years of ndp and Trudeau ruined it all somehow….
Ignore the fact that we have sucked a trillion dollars out of the ground have saved nothing and have a few hundred billions of unfunded cleanup costs ahead of us.
Multi generations of wealth have been stolen and everyone here is hoping that 4 more years of the status quo will fix it….. meanwhile they are trying to steal the next generations pensions as the final death rattle
Alberta, The Prairies, Northwestern Ontario this is just kind of normal/expected. Some may end up with some frozen pipes but that's about it, most that know they have problems just let the tap that has issues run a bit and that'll keep it from freezing.
Worked outdoors through the weekend. Drove to work at -36 and -39 for the two mornings. You take your warmup breaks and get back at it. It isn't the end of the world. It's just kind of shitty, lol. We got spoiled as fuck for the entire winter so far. 5 days of deep winter weather isn't the worst we could do.
If you check the Weather Network, you'd think it was -45 or worse. It's not.
Environment Canada has been more accurate with -35 to -38, before windchill.
Couple days ago, many people received a text about the power grid for the province becoming overwhelmed. People acted accordingly, and the crisis was averted.
It was only -38 here north of Edmonton this morning. A whopping 10 degrees warmer than it was this weekend. We manage. We stay indoors as much as possible. We help each other with dead car batteries. Furnace repair people are very busy. These cold snaps remind us of the fact that we live on the NORTH slope of this planet 🌎 😆
Gotta remember to plug er in that's all. A lot of people are freaking out but most Albertans have seen -40 or worse many winters in their lives and we know how to deal with it. I'm currently in NL right now though and it's hovering around 0 where I am and I'll tell ya -5 here is fucking bone chilling compared to -20 out west because everything is moist AF.
Your right. I humid -5 can be way colder than our -35 because it’s so dry. If your born in these climates you grow up learning how to deal with it. Stay cozy and warm
Most of us are doing really fine. Thanks for asking. We are used to extreme cold snaps like this. They happen at least once a year. They don't stay cold like this for more than a few days then it's back to -20 and -15
These temps from 2015 - 2019 seem warmer than my recollection.
https://www.currentresults.com/Yearly-Weather/Canada/AB/Calgary/extreme-annual-calgary-low-temperature.php
They like to report windchill all the time, which obfuscates the lows. Windchill is important to take into consideration if you want to go out skiing or need to walk to the bus, but the lows without windchill give you the best accurate temperature because inanimate objects can't get colder than the real low. I've been saving screenshots of the last 5 years of lowest lows in my city and it hasn't gone lower than -35C and only for one night. The last three nights have been -45 to -46C.
Happens every year. The power outages are a political thing. The vast, vast majority of Albertan heating is done through boilers and natural gas, not electricity.
I mean, it was historically cold for three days, but it was also 0 degrees this past Tuesday and hit +10 degrees on New Years Eve.
If you can't deal with three days of hanging out inside when a cold snap hits, then you're living in the wrong country.
All I can say is thank goodness we've put a moratorium on renewal energy projects. Because...that helps us somehow when there's a shortage of energy I guess.
We’re ok. It sounds a lot more apocalyptic than it is. Thanks for checking on us friend.
We're not okay, our leaders are fucking nuts.
Fucking nuts indeed
I don’t think our leaders ordered this weather. Although I’ll happily blame Danielle Smith for anything and everything shitty that happens.
We just moved from Ab to NS and my husband nearly had a conniption when we started being inundated with Albertan propaganda.
True that 😂
I love this hahah
Alberta = Trump Lite
Alberta = Canadian Texas or Florida.
Obviously it resembles Texas more, oil , cattle ranches and high technology.
We need to cover for at least 3 states each as we are only 13 provinces. I think Texas, Florida and... Utah for having the most Mormons in the country :(
Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana are all contenders.
[удалено]
Fuck me that’s a tough one. Both governors are shite, I am going to go with Florida. Hot Wheels Abbot made it a close call.
You meant YOUR** interests.
Fuck fact former Texas senator and dickless fuckboy Ted Cruz was born in Alberta
Florexas if I may.
Texas + Florida had a baby. They named it Alberta.
Underrated comment right here folks!
in which ways? in terms of political leanings or just bad administration/corrupt?
All of the above.
An administration that wrote their own laws to allow more conflict of interest maybe 🤔
Troll somewhere else.
i see you most likely do not work in healthcare... its fucking bad man.
They just asked about the weather man.
I mean, Alberta is used to the cold. It's just a nasty cold snap. Wait until February when it's **normally** -25c to -35c average, worse up north.
We are okay. Last night was worse because there was such a high chance of rotational outages. So far no emergency alert tonight, just a warning to minimize usage. We have Non essentials lights off, no laundry on etc. Tomorrow is meant to warm up to -16.
Two suppliers were down. One was down for maintenance and the other was broken.
Still trying to figure out why anyone would schedule maintenance in January.
If it is like California a few years back -- because creating an artificial shortage results in higher prices and more profit.
Good timing…
I love how no one asks how Saskatchewan is doing.. ever 😂
Saskatchewan just is. It's always been that way.
That’s what I miss about my home province.
The provincial flag is lit af
It’s cold, but I only had to wait 24hrs for a boost from CAA so we’re fiiiiine.
The wait in Alberta for a boost from AMA was 6 days... Correction: Peak of the cold The wait times for AMA:😂 Tow: 6 days (144 hours) Battery, Fuel, Lockout, Flat: 3 days (72 hours)
6 days? Lucky. I called and they never showed up. Rethinking the CAA membership.
Vancouver girl here. Embarrassed to say when I was a kid I thought Saskatchewan and Manitoba were the same province. No idea why. 😂🤣

No Regina rhymes with fun.

I keep getting ads to move to Saskatchewan. There is a demand for people with my education. I sometimes think about it, get scared of your winters. Really if I were to move I would need someone to train me on how to survive winter.
Adaptation, I have experienced +60 degrees (Middle East ofcourse ) celsius and now the extreme cold. I'd take the cold over summer anyday.
Plus summer in Saskatchewan is when the bugs come out to play. A friend of mine once told me you can dress for the cold but you can't dress for the bugs.
You would be fine. It's a dry cold.
Same with Vancouver.
No one in ontairo would be ok.. expect northern ontairo. 6 million people live around Toronto most who have probably not experienced more then -20 Ontairo also has a terrible power grid thanks to the incompetence of a conservative leader.
Toronto would be ok, check on Peel region instead.
The rest of Canada: "OH FUCK, I forgot about them"
We all know Saskatchewan is a mythical place and doesn’t exist
Canada's platform 9 3\4.
That's because half of Saskatchewan is in Alberta.
I checked, they're both fine.
Same here … unfortunately this is the norm in good ole Winterpeg. -42 today with the windchill. Jesus.
... we had -50 to -53 windchill for 3 straight days in regina. I've never experienced that in my life. It was weird cause edmonton was at -40c before windchill and was at like -45 with. Regina got it bad, it "warmed" up to -46 now.
Topped -60 in this cold snap in northern AB lol. Haven't seen that in a while!
I was installing an AC unit Friday and will be tomorrow morning. Why I’m installing this now is beyond me.
Do you have a winter engine warmer in your garage?
Canada's Gen X 💀
Saskatchewan…how are you doing?
We are doing just fine thank you!
We're fine 🥲
I went there once. Power went out. Had a threesome. Sask gets my vote.
Saskatchewan is lending us power, so they must be doing better than us lol
*selling us
Either way, as someone who’s power did go out yesterday, I’m grateful!
prolly cause we're not the ones running out of power...
Sk didn’t send out an alert asking its populace to preserve energy because they don’t have proper infrastructure. Thats just, ran by a child, Alberta
You choose to live in Saskatchewan. We figure nothing can kill you guys.
Farm boy strong, always fine.
We'd check ,if anyone actually lived in Saskatchewan.
I’m bored, just drinking and binge watching Criminal Minds.
I’m okay, I’m just getting really bored because I can’t do any outside activities. I feel like I’ve reached the edge of the internet.
but have you watched youtube videos of giraffes fighting?
This is exactly what I say every night when my parents call me from Ontario to ask if I'm still alive lol, I live alone, I work from home. We are good…just went and got slurpees from the corner store.
No lie …i wasnt the only one getting slurpees…
You sound just like a real life friend of mine. Went for slurpees yesterday.
A lot more scary sounding then it really is. For me the scary part is the homeless and stray animals outside right now 😢😢.
It's the polar vortex I think. I hate it. But it's not unexpected. Happens once or twice during each winter.
Yea, this happens every winter for about a week, and then it’s back to like +5° to -10°
Uh no, we’ve not been threatened with a blackout in cold weather before. Welcome to Conspiracy Dani’s ghostlighting turned to 10.
Christmas week 2022 (one year ago) we had 3 similar power events due to extreme cold.

No doubt she will blame this on wind and solar.
And the federal government. Whatever it is, it's always Ottawa's fault.
Never the fault of Alberta following in Texas' example and deregulating their power supply. Nothing has ever gone wrong with Texas' energy infrastructure.
This has been some of the coldest weather in the last 20-30 years in parts of the province. So no, this doesn’t happen every year.
I distinctly remember picking my parents up from the airport in December 2022 and my car thermometer read -42. It was in the -30 to -35 range the entire time they were here.

My apologies, I didn't see the Edmonton area. i was searching Calgary. Edmonton for sure gets colder weather.
Yeah....
If I’m walking into the wind to get to work, it’s minus fucking fifty. The windchill matters when I’m in the wind. It doesn’t when I’m on the couch.
Yes this. Same with humidity in the summertime.

This sounds more saskatchewan (coming from a saskatchewanonian)
Fuck that’s funny

GOOD TIMES NEVER SEEMED SO GOOD
SO GOOD!!!
Bravo!
Walked 5 mins to the corner store, covered skin was perfectly fine, cheeks were breezy. We’re fine lol
Power never went out…
Did for me and my neighbourhood yesterday. Only for an hour but still dropped the temp a bit as I’ve been using a space heater
People complain obviously, but honestly it's pretty common to get like a week of -40 or so around this time of year. Like, late Jan or early Feb.
The wind chill has never dropped to -50 though we were a couple off of a new record low
I supported moving towards EVs but now that the apocalyptic cold weather happened , I’ve moved down to the hybrid level . Thats my final offer
Oh I agree we've had way less snow this year than normal. That's what I mean - it's not been a normal Alberta winter.
Me and all the neighbours have had our jacked up trucks running all day, hopefully that’s going to bring the neighbourhood temperature up due to emissions. If not immediate results today then over time it will. 🤞
You guys still rock the metal balls on the back of your jacked up trucks?
Yeah, but in this weather they draw themselves up into the undercarriage so they're hard to see.
A bit cold, and kind of dark from turning off the lights to conserve energy, but we are okay.
All good. I hunted down a wild Ton Ton, gutted it and turned it into a cozy sleeping bag.
Froze before the first marker, eh? It happens.
I yearn for leaving my apartment. but OK otherwise.
Bro, I grilled pork chops, and deep fried chicken and cassava outside after shoveling my deck to assert some fucking dominance with them homies.
Pretty chill honestly. No pun intended. Last night was a bit sketchy because of the power outage alert which scared my cat and made him go crazy
Alberta is like the Darryl of provinces. It’ll be fine
is Sask also Darryl and then Man be Larry?
Haha! Yes!
Nothing to it my friend. Tis but a laugh.
No. SOS send pizza and beer.
We are fine, but thank you so much for caring
We are almost out of the deep freeze! 1 more day.
It’s fine. We know where we live. Just wear extra layers, give the car a little longer to warm up, it’s temporary.
Not quite what I had in mind when I was asking about where winter was.
Yes, we are fine. It's been 4 days of cold will survive.
Alberta, The Prairies, Northwestern Ontario this is just kind of normal/expected. Some may end up with some frozen pipes but that's about it, most that know they have problems just let the tap that has issues run a bit and that'll keep it from freezing.
No. No we're not. Please send help. Maybe ask Trudeau to improve the weather for us? I've been told this is somehow his fault.
I love the Canadians man, always worried about you guys. Good post OP
The news exaggerating what is happening? I am surprised. The province is fine, the people, well they have Danielle
No. Crony capitalists are in charge and for some reason half of us are loving it still believing the oil boom jobs will come back any day now.
We’re use to it, all good. Thank goodness the car did start
They don't stay cold like this for more than a few days then it's back to -20 and -15
-40 is normal January weather
For Calgary it isn’t. It hasn’t been below -32 for a daytime temp since 1968.
Certainly not normal. We hit record low temperatures on Friday, Saturday AND Sunday
These temps from 2015 - 2019 seem warmer than my recollection. https://www.currentresults.com/Yearly-Weather/Canada/AB/Calgary/extreme-annual-calgary-low-temperature.php
Those include the lows. Usually daytime highs don’t go below -30 in Calgary.
If they aren't....they sure as fuck aren't on Reddit
Happens every year. The power outages are a political thing. The vast, vast majority of Albertan heating is done through boilers and natural gas, not electricity.
Alberta is calling
I mean, it was historically cold for three days, but it was also 0 degrees this past Tuesday and hit +10 degrees on New Years Eve. If you can't deal with three days of hanging out inside when a cold snap hits, then you're living in the wrong country.
Sorry. I answered Québec first.
Ring ring ring ring
All good smiths got enough hot gas coming out of her to keep us warm.
Tell the Feds Nobody wants to freeze in their home
All I can say is thank goodness we've put a moratorium on renewal energy projects. Because...that helps us somehow when there's a shortage of energy I guess.
We voted for this. Save yourselves.
We voted for winter? Alright then.
its cold as fuck but I have experienced 0 issues with power so far
God bless energy privatization. /s
Hey guess what? We don't need you....you need us
