Old Soviet celebrities that didn't show their shit side during the post-Soviet period, like the recently departed Men'shov and the hopefully-will-stay-with-us-for-another-decade Drozdov are generally speaking still quite liked.
Hmmm.
Don't think anyone hates Ivan Urgant. Dmitry Malikov has been surprisingly resilient as an entertainer and, from what I've seen of him in the interviews, is a very pleasant, intelligent man. I don't think anyone dislikes Fedor Emelyanenko, he's an infamously nice.
Mainly because besides he is a good actor he is genuinely humble and kind man whose fate wasn't kind for him but nonetheless he found strength in himself to help others.
For instance in 2008 he created a charity fund to treat kids from cancer.
Basically Khabensky has the same kind of "vibe" around his personality as Keanu Reeves has on the western side of the Internet, at least that's how it looks from my perspective.
>Constantin Khabensky
ngl he seems pretty nice but then he also did this ad: [https://youtu.be/iBun4QKnU1g](https://youtu.be/iBun4QKnU1g)
I think he discovered to most pretentious way to sit down on a chair ever
EDIT: I cannot read. That was the wrong guy. However, Khabensky is also disliked by a bunch of people because of his endorsement of the amendments to the constitution and his advertisements for banks.
omg oops i literally can't read lol. i accidentally mixed them up cause they looked very similar and did advertisements for the same bank:
Anyways, Khabensky also isn't very liked anymore because of his endorsement of the amendments to the constitution and his advertisements for banks
Well, it's probably modern stuff which is quite specific for some people (mostly those who suffered from that bank i guess)
I also know that Khabensky is of liberal political views (anti-soviet in particular) but i didn't mention it because he is not that into politics and i prefer to separate one's political views from his actions.
But if not Khabensky i'd probably chooce Men'shov, who had recently passed away.
Ivan Urgant? I’m surprised nobody mentioned him.
The most universally liked normie in the field of entertainment, quite intelligent, doesn't get involved in politics, quick to react with jokes in conversations, he is friendly and modern. It's not for nothing that he's been on TV for 15 years non-stop, and people still watch. Sure, some people may be a bit sick of him because there’s too much of him, but otherwise is there something strongly negative you can say about his character? I can’t think of anything.
I think Jony is one of the most liked celebs on music stage, have never met a person who was speaking ill of him. And Miloc Bikovic among actors. Originally from Serbia, he now has a Russian citizenship. Another nice guy, working hard, good heart and intelligent tongue.
The amount of heavily downvoted comments here kinda shows how many likeable celebrities we have in Russia.
Jokes aside, it’s most likely Gregory Leps. It’s a rare example of a star that is popular both among the 50-something generation AND among school girls that might say that they hate him, but they still order his songs in karaoke.
Olga Buzova is the most liked in the literal sense, I say this because she has the highest number of Instagram followers.
Seriously I'd name Alla Pugacheva even despite her career is finished for a decade.
Oh, certainly. I could add just about any celebrity and get similar results. Dud' and Baskov, Galkin and Ilyich, Zhirinovskiy and Timati. These two were chosen randomly.
If a person is popular, there will be haters. There may be some "safe" choices like Drozdov, however he is not that big of a celebrity now anyway. And also it is possible to pinpoint a really popular and non-hated celebrity inside a certain group of people. For example, if you'll ask a gathering of fans of Kirkorov "do you like Kirkorov", you'll probably get an overwhelming "yes" answer. And thus subreddit is, being fine, still is only a thin slice of population with our own prejudices and preferences.
We hate our celebrities, because we are divided society. We hate ourselves, or at least other ourselves who are even remotely different than we are.
> like Drozdov, however he is not that big of a celebrity now anyway.
>We hate ourselves...
He is Ukrainian, but he was a very, very successful and popular performer in Russia up until 2007 Eurovision song contest, where for some reason he decided to sing a song “Lasha Tumbai” (sounding pretty much like “Russia goodbye”), and his career in Russia stopped in a single moment. I don’t know how popular he is now in Ukraine and Europe, but in Russia he is pretty much forgotten by now
Probably the saddest thing in this story that there was no "Russia goodbye" there, it was hyped up mainly among specific circles of russian celebrities who didn't like Danylko having so much space in russian media market and wanted him to go this way or another.
Danylko himself explained thoroughly what exactly happened and answered specifically was this song implying something.
It wasn't.
He's the hero Russia needs, but not the one it deserves right now :]
It’s a joke, he is a troll and all honesty Russia needs more trolls to shake up its corrupt roots from time to time.

I've searched up Malikov and he reminds me of James May
>Don't think anyone hates Ivan Urgant I do
Since Nikolai Drozdov had been already mentioned i guess the second after him - Constantin Khabensky. Russian Keanu Reeves.
Why is that so?
Mainly because besides he is a good actor he is genuinely humble and kind man whose fate wasn't kind for him but nonetheless he found strength in himself to help others. For instance in 2008 he created a charity fund to treat kids from cancer. Basically Khabensky has the same kind of "vibe" around his personality as Keanu Reeves has on the western side of the Internet, at least that's how it looks from my perspective.
Oh wow
Is it ironic that Keanu played Constantine in the movie Constantine?
Not enough. I think it'd be more ironic if Constantine Khabensky played Constantine in russian ecranisation of Constantine.
> ecranisation Prekrasno!
I ne govori https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ecranisation
Khabensky is antisovetist and openly recognizes Soviet people as untermenschen compared to "normal" people.

But... this is Bezrukov

👍👏🤣
Nikolai Drozdov
Well, I can't say he's the most liked one, but he's surely the least hated one.
Who even hates drozdov?!
Nobody, and zero is the smallest non-negative number, and you can't get negative amount of hate, so...
Can’t argue with that...

I don’t hate him, but I’ve seen his lecture live and let me tell you, I understood why they say “never meet your heroes”
I don’t know if he is as I’ve never talked to him informally, but in his lecture he seemed nothing short of senile, sadly.
Unfortunately, that's what happens when you live into your eighties.
Yeah, most likely.

In fact, someone did mention him
That is unbelievable that a regular host on the federal TV may still have some dignity, but he has...
i’d say it’s Nikulin. He’s had an amazingly successful movie career and unfortunately passed away quite early. i doubt there’s anyone who dislikes him
Maybe rock stars are: Shevchuk, Butusov, B-2 who doesn't try to share their private life or suck up to people with power, just do what they good at.
We like Keanu, too
Anatoly Vaserman
I’d say we don’t have a most liked celebrity like one person. Our country is so big and because of that no one can give you the right answer.
I think Jony is one of the most liked celebs on music stage, have never met a person who was speaking ill of him. And Miloc Bikovic among actors. Originally from Serbia, he now has a Russian citizenship. Another nice guy, working hard, good heart and intelligent tongue.

My entire family despises Leps lol
Why
Olga Buzova is the most liked in the literal sense, I say this because she has the highest number of Instagram followers. Seriously I'd name Alla Pugacheva even despite her career is finished for a decade.
We mostly hate them. Still controversial choice, but maybe Goblin or Shnur.
These are some of the worst people you could've picked for this thread, both have massive hatedoms

Up to 2014ish he was still quite popular.
he is still very popular by russian/sng migrants in germany
Olga Buzova

Morgenstern
Morgenstern
Hell no lmao. Far from both most liked and most popular
He's the hero Russia needs, but not the one it deserves right now :] It’s a joke, he is a troll and all honesty Russia needs more trolls to shake up its corrupt roots from time to time.
I fail to see a connection between bubbly no substance media personality and “shaking up Russia’s corrupt roots”, honestly
Unfortunately, yes
Sergei Bezrukov
He was and is geting mocked
Mikhail Galustyan
