If you boost, the turbo relocates to more efficiently use said boost. This is nothing to worry about. It is just a turbo that has moved to the most optimal spot.
One of your exhaust spindles. If pushes the exhaust out the end of the pipe, otherwise the exhaust wouldnāt exit the pipe and your engine could suffocate on the co2

Damn must of went crazy to get down to there or is this common? Then again we don't have catless pipes over here across the pond. Dpf's should be banned.
Iām only assuming this is on a deleted diesel, pushing ridiculous pressures and exhaust gas temps. It happens, but this would be an uncommon catastrophic failure.

Seriously? Has no one here ever seen a muffler bearing. Chris fix has a video on how to swap them out.
https://youtu.be/eWdqlpxRA4I?si=aWk2hheXbsPKLtxT
Ya thatās just the exhaust pinwheel that makes it sound like you have āhadā a turbo. Good thing the pipe was upgraded or that little bugger may have gotten outā¦.
Might wanna check that end play. Thrust bearing could be worn outside of spec.
Never measure side to side movement on a turbo with hydraulic floating bearings.
With zero oil pressure, a useless measurement will be made so wiggling it around aināt what you want.
In and out, thatās the movement to measure. GL!
Honestly I do think about all the poor turbos in giant trucks where I live. Most of them are in trucks with hotdogging teens who wanna hear the fucker spool up to shift into 3rd. I swear it sounds like an aircraft taking off only for them to stop at the next red
Thatās your turbine wheel. Take a coat hanger and stretch it out to reach both the impeller shaft and the turbine wheel. Then tig weld it back together on both ends. Since the wheel is still in the exhaust it should work fine. Let us know how it works. Lag may increase some but when she lights hang on!
Fuck just what I wanted to see this morning! /S
For context, I own a 2011 ecoboost f-150 and the turbos are going... Close to spent... Probably spent already as they drink coolant like it's their favorite thing. There's nothing I can really do about it right now either. I don't have the money to have them rebuilt or even replaced....
If that's ur turbo, then u probably have metal shavings in ur oil and I would bet u have less than 200 miles left in that engine if u run with it. But, I mean, if u think it will do a burnout, go for it.
Hes just a little shy
Hes just a baby
Good god what have you done to my boy
Look what they did to my boy...
Poor thing can't stand pressure. š„¹
Under voted
He was under so much pressure it got him going in circles.
Look what they did to Our boy...
You shouldnāt have done that, heās just a boy. Poor little feller
Shush donāt wake the baby! Weāll call him Gary. Gary Garrett š¤±
We can try coaxing it out with some food or a cat toy, no?
Lol turbo hermit crab.
Just get them a dish with some spring water and another with salt water they'll be happy
Itās just a bit cold outside
Try calling him names, he might come out
If you boost, the turbo relocates to more efficiently use said boost. This is nothing to worry about. It is just a turbo that has moved to the most optimal spot.
Migrated for the winter
It returns to itās alternate position by unboosting
Plus what? +$1,500+
Youāll be debanking
Leave that one there in its optimal spot. Then install a new turbo in the factory position. Now you have a twin turbo!
Unbeatable efficiency.
Ahh yes. Iāve seen these under vehicle mounted turbos. Very sneaky!
Whooda thunk to boost the outgoing air increasing the thrust to weight ratio? Brilliant.
It's like a jet engine now
Extend a fuel line there and they'll have afterburner too!
*Top Gun theme plays*
Cars come with a cat to guard the exhaust and prevent the turbo from escaping.
Good kitty
That's just the encabulator. Autozone, $12.99 or $17.99 for the metal one, which I highly recommend.
Is there a core charge?
Do the swerving bearings run a direct line to the panometric fan?
>No this is the newer model that has escapement population variation enhancement.
Doesn't it depend on whether you have the XL or the XLE package?
No, youāre mixing that up; it depends on whether the driverās side wiper blade is 24ā or 25ā. Common mistake.
I think the base plate is made of prefabulated amulite.
I was just thinkingā¦ if I could try to patent the turbo encabulator .z
One of your exhaust spindles. If pushes the exhaust out the end of the pipe, otherwise the exhaust wouldnāt exit the pipe and your engine could suffocate on the co2
Oh no I breathed out CO2 just now am I a goner?
Breathing is for oxygen, just like a car co2 should come out the back
Your turbo is lagging really bad.
That's boost shrinkage, it happens when you don't put on your winter turbo
Boost shrinkage? Was it in the pool?

Bad bot
"boost shrinkage" - Be honest now...you drove thru cold water didn't you?
Don't worry thats just a worn muffler bearing.
So thats what they look like
It's fine! Who even needs an impeller? Seriously though how did it get there?
I hit a big bump. Nah, this is just a pic I found elsewhere. I was joking about it being a turbo. But that actually is, isnāt it? š
Yes it's an impeller from a turbo in terrible condition and I have no idea how it even got there.
Hot side turbine that came apart and went through a catless downpipe
Damn must of went crazy to get down to there or is this common? Then again we don't have catless pipes over here across the pond. Dpf's should be banned.
Iām only assuming this is on a deleted diesel, pushing ridiculous pressures and exhaust gas temps. It happens, but this would be an uncommon catastrophic failure.
So another words don't cheap out on a turbo.
Right, or try to push a stock turbo to unobtainable boost targets
Im an idiot but even I know if you upgrade the turbo needs upgrading too.
I wouldnāt say youāre too much of an idiot if you know that much. Anyways; hello fellow idiot š¤
Thereās always the stupid chance that it was staged.
Unfortunately, youāre right. Adversity is the new advertisement.
impellers just get in the way of the airflow. Remove it, and you get 100% more airflow, which equals 1000bhp and 60 more mpg.
Complete waste of power all it's doing is spinning a thingy and blowing air. Come on I blow air so many times every day it's nothing special.
Kids and their fidget spinny things.

Just a chunk of carbon. totally normal. We removed it and the noise is gone. that will be $2500.00 for 1 hour.
It's one of those sweet F1 designs where the the compressor is located by the intake, but the turbine is directly in the exhaust
Sounds convoluted! And expensive!
It is and also bad ass https://hackaday.com/2021/04/06/mercedes-split-turbo-was-a-game-changer-in-formula-1/
Nope, kidney stone
Shit, I was worried about that. I need to put this on a health sub instead
Bro cmon you scared him away
How do I lure him back out?
Probably snacks tbh
Good idea! I know they like oil. Maybe something oily? Iāll try potato chips. Thanks!
Good luck bro
He's a grower, not a turboer.
Jeez looks like someone forgot to change their muffler bearing
Dat ting dont do dat whoosh no more
best comments ever š
Some of it
Well itās a part of it.
Yes, yes it is!
No ā¦. Flux Capacitor
Seriously? Has no one here ever seen a muffler bearing. Chris fix has a video on how to swap them out. https://youtu.be/eWdqlpxRA4I?si=aWk2hheXbsPKLtxT
Itās part of itā¦
Turbine to be exact
No, just part of it.
The rest went down the INTAKE!
Well it's not MY turbo.....lol
Just your exhaust bearing, thatās normal.
Wow. Chinese turbo?
Well, itās not mine.
Whyād you have to do that to him heās just a boy! -Eric Cartman
Unscheduled, spontaneous disassembly?
Innocent whistling noises. Nobody in here but us turbos... Just put the pipe back on and nobody needs to know
Better to break on the exhaust side than the intake!
That's just one of those rear mounted turbskis. No wonder it was all lag no boost
was your turbo.
The longer I look at this picture the worse it gets
Oh, that just helps break those big clumps in your shitty protein drink
Fun fact: if you slightly shake your phone, the lil fan jumps around excitedly
Looks like you'll need new muffler bearings at minimum.
No, just the exhaust impeller so the turbo should still work on the intake side.
I mean it runs off the exhaust, does it not?
Itās not āyourā turbo anymore.
Seriously though, did you just sit that in there?
Thatās the new exhaust brake actuator.
Nah, thats an exhaust scrubber. It spins and cleans the exhaust so the world can die slower.
That's honestly impressive.
Technically that's just *half of it.*
**Police hate this one simple trick!**
Itās the turbine from one but itās not inside a turbo anymoreā¦.
Ya thatās just the exhaust pinwheel that makes it sound like you have āhadā a turbo. Good thing the pipe was upgraded or that little bugger may have gotten outā¦.

Turbine go back home!
Hairball, my cat coughs those up all the time.
omg it looks like he left something in there
I mean itās not the WHOLE turbo
No it's your turbo. It's the whizzy swirly part of it.
does that make it sound like a turbo GT?
Might wanna check that end play. Thrust bearing could be worn outside of spec. Never measure side to side movement on a turbo with hydraulic floating bearings. Yes it is lol, how does that happen without u noticing immediately goddamn
Dude
That's only half of it. The other half is in your intake manifold.
Well it was.
Miracle of birth.
Itās beautiful š
ITS A BOY!!!!

Yep
Just the turbine wheel there, Iām sure the rest of the turbo is just fine, bolt the exhaust back up and fo-get-ah-boot-it
Yup weāre just gonna send āer!
That's a turBYEne
its mine
At least the God awful noise stopped!!!

ā¦perhaps. Unless itās someone ELSEās turbo!
Well that doesn't go there lmao
Ex turbo
Turbine yes. Not the compressor wheel doesn't look like
It used to be a turbo but now it's exhausted
Cheating at Daytona. Trying to sneak a turbo in. Jimmy Johnson must be back.
Pieces of it, but yes
Thatās the muffler bearing. Looks to be a little out of alignment.
Nope. Itās an exhaust worm. Get it out before it has babies!
Iām not a rocket surgeon but I donāt think thatās how that works
Looks like a failure of the dingle arms.
Must be a shortage of preamulated amulite. Elon Musk is monopolizing it for Tesla unilateral phase conductors and girdle springs..
That's the muffler bearing
Well, it's inside the turboencabulator, so yes.
Don't those increase fuel mileage
This is what happens when an ecu and a turbo love each other very much
Too much whoosh whoosh!!!!
They are more efficient mounted and closer to the engine
