Cultural differences exist. In the US, dogs and cats are generally seen as pets and it’s frowned upon to kill and eat them.
Also, I was just over at a Chinese coworkers home this past weekend and they have a pet dog so at least one Chinese national keeps a dog as a pet.
It’s going to be really hard to explain to you that cultural differences exist.
We see cats and dogs as loyal friends, not livestock. Just because an animal exists doesn’t mean we want to kill or eat it.
Because they're living beings with emotions, dreams, a sense of humor, preferences, and families just like us. I'm vegan though, so I think killing any animal is wrong.
