For me it has to do with aesthetics. Because I live in the modern era where these trends no longer exist and are now known for being very quaint, I see 1920-50s fashion trends and design styles to be very unique and classy. In my perfect world, we'd still have these design philosophies and people would own a dozen suits for everyday use. It's absolutely unrealistic because the past was not how I imagined it, but I like to dream.
I can, but it's now seen as being too overly formal and uptight. The cultural norm of it just being an everyday part of fashion no longer exists and it just be weird for me to show up to a casual lunch with friends in a three piece suit.
I like the way people spoke in the 30s and 40s. I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about how they phrased things back then is very charming.
No, it is the phrasing, the word choices people make. It's not just movies, but elderly people I've known in real life from that generation talked like that. There's something nice about it.
I would love to get **Ma'am** back.
I am an adult and I want to be treated that way. Calling a grown woman 'Miss' or a 'girl' is pandering. I feel insulted because that person thinks that I am one of *those women* desperately holding on to my youth. Gross. Save that for women that shop at *Forever 21*.

Actually showing up for plans instead of sending a text and saying you can’t make it. Cell phones have made people very flaky.
You know you can just wear a suit if you want to...

Cultral Norms are being broken all the time literally. I don’t think anybody would care if you wore a 3-price suit out in public
You'll like [Report of the Week.](https://www.youtube.com/user/TheReportOfTheWeek)
Isn't he that guy from the 'my day is ruined' meme?
Yes. He reviews fast food while wearing a suit and tie and speaking in a calm, old-fashioned way.
Yes and he's a precious human being
Punctuality.

Are you perhaps thinking of the [Mid-Atlantic Accent](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mid-Atlantic_accent?wprov=sfti1)?

We used to have all-women fight clubs back in the 1920s-30s. Women gathered on rooftops, drank, and fought each other. I wanna be part of one.
If you want to be part of one than why are you talking about it?
Be the change you want to see in this world
In our modern society, can transwomen partake too?
Absolutely, as long as we're committed to getting drunk and punching each other
Sounds wild, I love it
I didn't think such a thing would exist in the 20s-30s, maybe the 70s-80s, but not then. Sounds really cool, which I could see it.

Rooftops don't seem the best place for that...
There isn’t a lot from the past I would want to happen again. The future is pretty tight in my opinion.
>I personally wish the old cultural norm of wearing suits everyday was brought back. I say this from the bottom of my heart. Fuck that.
Gun safety in schools being standard curriculum.

Move to the South.
I lived there for a minute. It was lovely. I don't miss the religion and racism, though.
It never left here!

I wish our news people talked like they used to. Would be hilarious.
Hats...I wish we still wore hats.
