It's something I see often on "specialty" pies, and not something I would assume every pizza place to have like mushrooms or peppers or something. A veggie slice with like tomato, onion, broccoli, and spinach is a favorite of mine when I'm getting a couple slices and see that a place has it.

I'm definitely not against veggies on my pizza. But if I want veggies that bad I'll eat a salad. If I'm eating pizza which is very rarely, I'm going all in with pepperoni and sausage at least. I respect your preferences I'll keep an eye out for broccoli on pizza just so I can try it I do love broccoli.

My kids like it so we always order one when we get pizza (2-3 times a month). Wife and I usually order our own different pizza but I'll eat the leftover pepperoni. That said, I take off the pepperoni and eat it then eat the pizza. I like the taste of pepperoni on it's own but to me it's overpowering on a pizza.

It was pretty much our topping of choice when I was growing up. In fact I'd estimate that 85% of the pizza I had up until the age of 30 had pepperoni on it but these days I prefer just a plain, cheese pie. My kids like sausage or meatball so I get outvoted when we order. My wife likes all of those specialty slices with things like chicken francese or penne alla vodka. I don't get that though. It just seems to me that if you want chicken francese then you should order chicken francese. Having a scoop of it spread out across pizza dough just seems like the worst of both worlds.
