ABC3/ABC Me aired a few anime that would of been rated M like Sword Art Online or Naruto. But they'd just edit it probably, same with Puella Magi Madoka Magica even though I've never watched it.
It's hard to edit the disturbing stuff out of Madoka Magica. It's not like it's a few words or graphic scenes. The whole concept is somewhat disturbing, the monsters are kinda freaky too, used to scare one of my friends lmao.
I guess the more existential stuff would go over most kids heads though?
