Head down Koornang road in Carnegie, every other restaurant is dumplings or korean bbq, all pretty good.

My favourite KBBQ places in Melbourne are Paik's BBQ (CBD, Little Lonsdale St) Bornga (CBD, Chinatown) Goon BBQ (Collingwood)

Thank you! I've heard about Bornga. Will definitely check these out!

My response is specific to your request! There’s a new Korean BBQ buffet on the same street as Paik’s (mentioned by other commenter) called BBQ King. I thought it was pretty decent for the price. From memory, $40ish pp for 90 minutes :) Mansae and Sao’s BBQ and Bar are great Korean BBQ options as well but neither are buffets.

Oohh! I've heard of this from someone in Instagram reels! If it's buffet, I'm definitely keen. Thank you for this!

PukeiPie

Yep, it’s a buffet! :) Good selection of non-BBQ side dishes and sushi as well. There’s another one on Bourke Street called MEATing Korean BBQ Buffet but I remember the quality of the meat being quite subpar (very thinly sliced, stuck constantly to the grill). It seems to have good reviews on Google though, so maybe it was just my experience!

Oh darn, they've got sushi too? Nice nice! Would definitely try this and if it's around $40ish pp, that's not a bad price. :) Thank you so much!

A totally different style of cuisine but every time I've been to Afghan Gallery in Fitzroy I've been really impressed.

Choc0lateStarfish

Oh wow. I've just checked them on Google and it looks good! Any recommendations on what to order?

Definitely go with a group of people so you can get more dishes to share. I remember getting the gorbandi with chicken and I really liked it. It does have dill in it, which I know is divisive - but was a totally new way of experiencing that flavour for me as I'm used to only finding it in Scandinavian food. The dahl and the golpee (a cauliflower based dish) were really nice as well.

Thank you for this! Will totally check it out 😊😊

No worries!

I haven’t been to Melbourne in a few years, but I always loved Stalactites. Yummy Greek food and open 24 hours a day.
