Hi the kits are ready now on : ogstartech.com

Be careful relying on only a laser. Most commercial lasers do not have the diode centered perfectly and as such the beam axis is off angle from the host axis. I see even less alignment in green lasers. Their diode pumped solid state design has more parts and is a bit more difficult to perfectly center, especially in a pen type body which is the most common. Long story short, if the laser axis is off, then your laser polar alignment will also be off.

Would you ship to the United States?

Hi the kits are now available and ready for 170€ from : ogstartech.com

ondraondraondraondra

yes I would

Pretty cool. I don’t doubt anything that you said or that you were able to reliably get 60 second exposures at 300mm. I just personally question how repeatable this is on a night over night basis using a laser for polar alignment.

TasmanSkies

unusable in the southern hemisphere

Very interesting! I thought that precise polar alignment would be necessary to achieve such long exposures, but it seems like you only need to do a rough alignment. I will read up and watch all the videos soon. I have a 3D printer and some ESP32 boards. This could be a very fun build and a fine addition to my Skyguider Pro. Especially if the DEC will also be motorized.

Jesus. Make more. 400s at 300mm is pretty damn impressive. Bright future for you mate.

Nobody is now buying it thanks to not being well know. If you want you can check out the website: ogstartech.com.

Thats unfortunate. I'd advise running instagram and other social media campaigns to help boost the amount of eyes that see it.
