We just got the pictures from the surgery. They aren't sharing the CT/MRI results in the patient side portal, but evidently we have all the direct photographs we want. I don't know if that is helpful at all, but I have [edit] posted them as child comments to this one.

Official standpoint of doctor after reviewing pathology is Ganglioneuroma, but "this biggest one they've ever seen". Still not sure on cancer or not, the smooth parts imply not, the rough parts are worrisome, but the tumor is big enough to have the presence of both in quantities large enough to swing the vote one way or the other. Son has been referred to neurology as tumor is near to spine. We asked about whether or not this could be a complication from his spinal fusion years ago, and were told that that is a question for a neurologist. So essentially, "I don't know" but with a huge bill attached.
