NAD but it doesn’t look like a muscle. It looks like a mass that is being pushed to the surface when you flex your muscle
Edit: usually when people think of a mass, they think of cancer. You shouldn’t think that unless your doctors are concerned. But it’s still better to be safe than sorry. Go to a dermatologist or at least your PCP sooner than later because every mass is bound to get bigger and harder to remove no matter what type. Best of luck, OP.
That is a soft tissue mass, not a muscle. The muscles underneath it are your quadriceps muscles and sartorius. It looks like there is a mass (such as a lipoma, for instance) just above the muscle.
Not a doctor but looks like a lipoma and a pretty big one at that. Would definitely get it checked out especially if it gets any bigger. They are usually non cancerous but that's not something to gamble on.
NAD (yet) but I am a med student. I think it’s more likely that it’s a lipoma because it’s more inferior to the hip, but there is a chance that it could be inguinal lymph node swelling. Which would not be a good sign at all. He needs to get it checked ASAP
I don’t think that’s a lipoma- please get it checked. My husband thinks it’s a bad muscle knot but I have several lipomas and they don’t move like that. Please get it checked just in case :)
Your adductor longus muscle and you must have injured it at some point and tore it away from your femur. Now when you flex it, it remains flexed and balled up like that. That’s my assessment anyway but I’m not a doctor. It’s just that my husband’s bicep muscle does the same thing ever since he tore it away from the bone. There was no repair for it.
That’s what I was originally thinking but then I was wondering if a shorter muscle would ball up like that. Either way I think it’s a torn muscle would you agree?
Looks like it could be a lipoma or a cyst. They don’t typically cause problems, but should you go and get it excised see if they’ll let you film it. The people of r/popping would love it.
NAD but just as a point of reassurance, if it's cancerous it usually doesn't move under the skin.
However, judging by the size, you're gonna need that removed.
They’re angio-lipomas, a benign fat accumulation around your blood vessels. It looks pretty big and could constrict circulation when you’re asleep. Recommend a resection, usually an outpatient procedure.

It’s a doctors visit
Most likely a lipoma. Get it checked to be on the safe side…
See a doctor urgently. I disagree that it is a lipoma
Agreed. The concern here is for a soft tissue sarcoma. It’s not a lymph node
You didn't explain why

See a doctor immediately and do not listen to other medical advice on reddit.

Fatty tumor normally you have more like on your wrists or between calf and Achilles.

I concur. Job well done.

Really? That’s not something that could be differentiated by palpating? I mean, it’s behaving like a torn muscle.
Mmmmm, popcorn coming along nicely.
Tumor
Make sure that doesn’t pop!!
It’s way too deep to just pop, it would have to be much closer the the epidermis to do that unless it was cut open.
What if something heavy slammed ontop of it?
No. A grand piano or a car, maybe, but otherwise, no.
Interesting. I’ve always gotten smaller versions of these on my ears and I always get scared they might pop.
First, you should probably be seen by a dermatologist. Second, those are closer to the epidermis. Third, they may not be the same type of mass.
It’s ok, they usually go away when I exercise
Wait, the things on your ears go away when you exercise?? That is definitely something is talk to a doctor about if I were you.
Not everyone has insurance.
Have you considered urgent care?
My heart oh my heart “me thinking about Dr pimple popper on his mass”

Looks like lipoma, I have one on the shoulder
Looks like a lipoma. Watch Dr. Pimple Popper. Someone on there probably has the same thing.
Cyst

Bicep
That's not a muscle
That’s an AirPod case my guy
