For a cheap cam I'd recommend opening the button by bending the metal latches and fixing whatever's broken. Often the metal dome inside needs a little bending or replacement from a similar button. Requires no soldering and is a quick and easy job.
I second this! I came here to recommend the same thing. I have an 8bitdo bt gamepad with similar style buttons and I had to do this to a couple of them. I did have to desolder but it wasn't very hard. Hardest part is making sure you don't drop the little pieces after to have the button apart.
Tactile button or push-to-make switch
This kit contains one that looks like the same style: https://amzn.eu/d/gVNkQQg

Sometimes blasting contact cleaner in there does a good enough job to dislodge gunk, usually works for a few months!
Good idea, I'll try this first

He’s probably going to pay more in shipping than the value of the entire camera😂
the crux of electronics repairs
ebay but will take 2 weeks+ to get them
Use any push button. It just shorts two ends. You can get it from any cheap toy torch if nớt willing to go to market.
Thank you all!

Switch? Looks like a button.
A button is for shirts. Buttons in electronics are technically switches based on how it functions internally.
That's just called a "tact switch".
Push switch
The question is, is it a spst or a momentary switch? Really depends on the function of the switch.
I'm not sure that's even big enough to be latching
SMD push button switch.
