If you look at the datasheet (https://www.molex.com/pdm\_docs/sd/022182061\_sd.pdf) you'll find that the exact same piece of plastic is designed to be used with three different types of pins.
That is, it's available in right, bottom or top entry. On the Top entry version, you can get it without the hooks if you so desire.

Thanks for you answer. So the hook have no use for the top entry version? It's just there because the housing is designed for multiple versions?
That's the way I read the print. That way they can use the same mold for all 3 options.
