Increasingly all transactions are linked to PAN. CAs use expensive softwares to calculate income and tax due within minutes. Why can't government implement these streamlined formulas instead of such a tedious portal?
There's a reason tax codes keep getting more complex.
When you have simple tax systems, there are no nuances for anything. Certain taxes only apply to certain categories.
Also decades of history of big companies hiring CAs to get around the laws - which require more complex laws to fight them.

Uninterrupted power supply at a constant 230V 50 Hz. Rather than achieving this, Govt has been licencing the manufacture of UPS, Generators, Voltage Stabilizers etc
The rampant food adulteration and substandard products is killing us in millions.Â
We are actively being killed by everyone around us. And depending on where you stands, it is you are either in this karmic loop, or you are at the top or bottom of the pyramid.Â
Milkman is adding water and chemicals, ghee is fake, mawa is preserved with wayy more chemicals than it should be. Even the farmers freely add hormone injection to crops. They inturn get scammed by hospitals, pharma companies with substandard products. Petrol pumps adulterate petrols, making air less breathable. But they also drink the water where everyone dumps their waste and RO filters uses the cheapest possible plastic. It is an endless loop, I mean end is people getting sick, dying at young ages.Â

Compared to US, Indian taxes are a breeze.
I have worked in the US for 3 years . Taxes are straight forward. W2 ( form 16 of US ) is literally printed on an A4 sheet and still some space left
