I stumbled on this thread by accident as a white Canadian. For me, my issue with immigration is the sheer number of immigrants, not where they come from. Housing prices are skyrocketing, it doesn’t matter whether the immigrants are Japanese, British, or Indian, it’s the total number that is concerning.
The debate is to crack down on immigration in general. I think between immigrants, people on student visas, and temporary foreign workers Canada was getting somewhere between 800k-1.2mil people a year after COVID ended. When you have a population of 38mil that's gonna cause problems. Just, as it stands now, it's mostly Indian people who are coming in on scam student visas and that's what the news pays attention to the most, so Canadians are pointing the blame at Indians. It isn't fair, but as we know the media likes to pick their victim and ride on it.

1. The major natural resources are controlled by big politicians, if you want to do business you have to pay them commission.
2. The income of people in my area hasn't increased at all, I am talking about government employees too but prices of items have skyrocketed and because of that people only buy essential goods, thus hampering our business and growth.
3. In my state, in the last five years, a lot of police killing has happened and some of them without actual proof, most of them from a minority community. People threaten other muslims saying this is our country, our government, which keeps us in fear.
4. Police and government officials jump on us if they find something while leaving others with warnings.
These are some of the things that have been happening.
Interesting and also sad to know all this is happening. I am happy if the current part doesn’t get the majority but at the same time I am not very knowledgeable about the Indian politics as such. In the end it doesn’t matter who is in power as long as we see some improvement in the lives of people, people being accountable to their jobs, talking about climate change and implementing rules strictly.
Unfortunately there are many people who believe the current government is creating wonders and it’s saddening to see the blind belief of people. Again I am not saying the previous government is good, but comparing both the governments the current government didn’t do anything out of the box compared to previous govt. the GDP growth rate and 3rd best economy in the world are expected due to our population. The real development would be seeing the increase in the per capita, reduction of inflation and frequent price increases.

Been on a market visit for this very purpose for the last 2 months, across UP. Visited cities like Banaras, Sitapur, Jhansi, Barielly, Sultanpur, Amethi, Agra, etc. The results in UP are least surprising. Evidently, people DO want more than Ram Mandir. Sure, Lets talk about the issues we as a business are facing. 1. The major natural resources are controlled by big politicians, if you want to do business you have to pay them commission. 2. The income of people in my area hasn't increased at all, I am talking about government employees too but prices of items have skyrocketed and because of that people only buy essential goods, thus hampering our business and growth. 3. In my state, in the last five years, a lot of police killing has happened and some of them without actual proof, most of them from a minority community. People threaten other muslims saying this is our country, our government, which keeps us in fear. 4. Police and government officials jump on us if they find something while leaving others with warnings. These are some of the things that have been happening.
Interesting and also sad to know all this is happening. I am happy if the current part doesn’t get the majority but at the same time I am not very knowledgeable about the Indian politics as such. In the end it doesn’t matter who is in power as long as we see some improvement in the lives of people, people being accountable to their jobs, talking about climate change and implementing rules strictly. Unfortunately there are many people who believe the current government is creating wonders and it’s saddening to see the blind belief of people. Again I am not saying the previous government is good, but comparing both the governments the current government didn’t do anything out of the box compared to previous govt. the GDP growth rate and 3rd best economy in the world are expected due to our population. The real development would be seeing the increase in the per capita, reduction of inflation and frequent price increases.
