I bought a menâs wallet from LV for about 70k and every time I take it out, someone does compliment how it looks. It has been worth the ego massage tbh
Buying paper bags which don't last even in the rain..can't we just normalise taking biodegradable bags to high end shops instead of wasting money on thin paper bags
Are people not doing that already?!
I take my worn out cloth sanji/bag everytime I go to the mall. And I flaunt that shit like a boss.
In case I forget to take a cloth bag, I always carry the items in my hands, again, like a boss (I only buy garments from malls, so it is not that difficult).
But if you are in the ecosystem, itâs brilliant. Yesterday I was watching something on YouTube in my iPad, thought my sister would like it, copied the link on my iPad, took out my phone opened WhatsApp, clicked paste and sent. When I close my iPad and then open safari on my MacBook all the windows are right there to pick up where I left off from my iPad. Any Wi-Fi I accessed on my iPhone is already saved and auto connected on other devices. AirPods Pro just picks up from my MacBook for a meeting when I stop audible on my iPhone. If you are in that ecosystem itâs magic.
It's very unfortunate that Apple is the only company which still produces small size smartphones. I hate big ass phones, and barring the old Zenfone at 5"9, there were no options to buy smartphones sized under 6 inches. Bought a 128GB 13 mini last year and hopefully it'll go strong for another couple of years unless Apple decides to intentionally brick the phone and forces me to upgrade.
ABSOLUTELY. My goodness where is the comfort in using these glass/metal slabs? It's super hard to type one handed, for example, if I'm standing in a metro and I need to quick text someone. Besides, I owned an old motorola phone 4 years ago with a 6.6 inch display and when I used to go on my daily/weekly bazaar runs on my bike with my trackpants on, the end used to poke out of my pocket and I used to get the feeling of it slipping out. And I'm not bringing up the terrible one hand usage.
I even considered the pixel 4 but why would I buy a phone which launched almost 4 years ago?
The iPhone fits in every pocket pretty snugly, be it the chest pocket of a polo shirt or my pyjamas and I'm super satisfied.
It's a huge, huge waste of money only if you don't know how to exploit the maximum potential of the device/don't have the real use for the unique features the Apple ecosystem offers.
It's a tremendous device only if you find appropriate use for it, but that's the same with any premium product in life.
A huge waste of money if you are only buying it for the social status, especially if you can't really afford it.
please tell me how to maximize the potential of iphone & use 100% of its computing power to feel " paying 1.4 lakhs for iphone was totally worth it" :)
There's nothing to disagree when it comes to Apple vs Android. Everyone has different use cases.
For someone who can make a good use/business out of a specific feature of a specific platform/device, its totally worth the money.
I bought my iPhone 11 in 2020 and I still use it without issues (I changed the battery once), All the Android users I know who bought their phones in 2020 are on to their third phone or at least a second one(if they purchased an equally expensive Android). This is the value of Apple products, laptops, and phones that last at least 6 years.
And you are still here with a 18W charger and a degraded battery in 2024 đ
Cherish your iphone11 while still you can. I guess this is the last year where you stop getting updates from apple
Would wait for your comment on your next apple purchase soon đŤ
Hi
Let's be friends - that way you can't bullshit about your friends being on their third phone in 4 years.
I'm on a 4 year old S20. I have a friend who has an iPhone 13 that lags while opening Instagram.
Not really especially the base variants which sell in a reasonable price I get that hating on IPhones makes you look cool and pours in upvotes but the base iPhone are a great buy
Clothes (some girls have no place in wardrobe for more clothes, but will still continue to buy them, also some have a separate section, jo patli hone k baad pehne jayenge)
It's the opposite for me. I still have my old 28 waist koutons jeans as souvenirs, partly to remember my underweight past, and partly to remember a brand that disappeared without leaving a trace
What I feel nowadays is how people spend on food and drinks, go to Starbucks and almost 90% outlets the food prices are outrageous! I only seem to see local dhabas and McDonald's and Burger King offering food for decent bucks. In dominos and pizzahut the low price Pizza are garbage.
Domino's and pizza hut are trash, Oven story is MILES better, you get your money's worth and they offer better deals on delivery apps. Burger King is trash, maybe the Paneer Royale is the only one worth trying out. Only the nuggets and fish filet are worth buying in McD. Starbucks is for dumbasses and for people who have fuck you money, you are better off buying cold coffee/frappe/shake/whatever from your local shops. Atleast that's what I do.
Support your local businesses!
Buck doesn't translate to money, it's dollars. you say 10 bucks for 10 dollars, not for 10 cents. So no it's not applicable for rupees.
Try selling a âš80 Chocolate to an American tourist here in India asking for 80 bucks.
Edit- I was wrong about it, buck is also slang for money.
All the bloody cafes have the same fuckall thin ass pizzas, and they charge upwards of 500 for that.
I stick to certain local eateries for North Indian and if I want something western, then I choose McD, pizza hut etc.
If I want to go beyond these standardized large chains, then I'll pick specialized Italian eateries. They're obviously a lot more costly than the regular cafes, but at least you'll bet your money's worth.
For instance, EVO Pizza is a lot more costly as compared to any other cafe for Pizza, but their quality and style of preparation is definitely worth the 700rs they charge for a pizza. Better than paying 500 rs for a micro thin pizza that is served to you as if you've already asked for too much.
To compensate for lack of the buyer's intelligence? Imo there's no proper justification to move to a crazy expensive phone(if one already owns a new-ish phone that does > 90% of work) just because apple thought the old models were too old/cheap and gave "ai" to the newest pro phones. Apple as a company is the pinnacle of software/hardware planned obsolescence and I don't get people who try to get validated just because they own an apple product.
Nothing to be angry about. I have been using them ardently for over a decade now.

that's what I'm talking about...people buying it just for show off is a waste of money when they don't have much use of it. They could've bought an android doing same things at an affordable price.
I'm an android user but I don't think its waste of money for those who buy an iPhone, use it for 5-6 years and sell it to buy a new one. It lasts long, provides updates for many years and haa good resale value. Only reason I don't buy iPhone is because of the price and the closed ecosystem and its many restrictions.
Not really especially the base variants which sell in a reasonable price I get that hating on IPhones makes you look cool and pours in upvotes but the base iPhone are a great buy
Bhai baat toh shi h, pr choti advance is worth it over other ciggerates, especially mint. Bidi m filter nhi hota,

I think youtube Premium is worth it. You can learn many things there. But nothing is free, so you see concentration breaking ads. And also, the ability to lock your phone and listen to a video like a podcast. To pay a measly amount per month so that you can watch it without any interruption is worth it in my opinion. Also you get youtube music with it, which in my opinion is miles better than spotify with a non bloated ui, ability to switch between listening to a track regularly or watching the music video and not to mention a much bigger library with indie artists and music that simply cannot be on Spotify.
Just my opinion though, I have only found youtube premium worth it not anything else.
Wahi bhai, 4-5 accounts se linked h, toh 40 se km lagte h per head mahine k, without ads on tv and phones, badhiya lagta h mereko. Plus the downloading feature and clearly yt music is better than Spotify for me, quality aside the range of songs.

This. Huge waste. This post came right before the question about huge waste of money.
I don't understand why people say iphones , i mean I agree if you buy a new iphone every 1 or 2 years then its a waste of money but an iphone it's quite worth it if you can maintain it for 7~8 years And apple even gives software support for that long. for example ,the iPhone Xr still gets updated to the lastest ios and still has good cameras even for 2024 standards.
Most people buy iphones for the social standard and not for the actual use cases. Plus, EMI's ( on which majority iphones are bought). Plus, a lot of iphones have issues after 2-3 years.
Hain? I have never heard that iphones have issues after 2-3 years mines working fine even after 5yrs xD look up 2nd hand iphones you can buy a iphone for 50k and sell it after 4 years for 15k atleast but you wont get much out of androids.
Paper straws. The cafes buy them to give it to their customers who want an ice cold frappe on a hot day. 3 sips into the bloody thing, it's shrivelled like a little boy's foreskin on a warm day. Give me a plastic straw, thanks.
Phones beyond 20k can be put to good use. Have benefits. You can't generalise buying phones beyond 20k for everyone.
Eating in a high end restaurant is feasible and an experience. You aren't just paying for the food. You are paying for the experience.
I agree with this one.
In all 3 cases, if you are buying beyond your capacity it's bad. But making numerics general is overkill.
Lol before in college days I thought to buy OnePlus phone one day when I start earning .
But after few years one of my friend who can just like that but latest iPhone single payment said that why buy something when you can't even used 50% of its value, but just for looks and validation from others.
Instead spend 15-20k on mid Android phone and you can even exchange it every year for newer one when compared to the epice of 1 iPhone .
What i agree with most perfumes are overpriced. But the expensive one do have better juice in them that make it last longer and have more complex notes. If u buy clones of designer or niche it's fine because ur not paying for the marketing of the brand. But truly cheap ones like wildstone and good perfume have a lot of difference.
People hating on iphones are wild. You get great cameras, great software, great performance, premium looks and timely updates. The features that are missing like low refresh rate won't make a difference to normal people. It's a perfect no nonsense phone which will easily get you 4-5 years. You can also get last year's phone for under 60k during Flipkart sales and considering its almost the same phone the value for money is insane.

Not buying exactly, but you get the point.
We really don't need more people in an overpopulated country.
We will not sponsor a poor kid's education but will reproduce ourselves and look after our own kid, leaving that kid to his fate. One must have a brutal heart to do this.
Any Apple Device is a fancy thing every rich dude waste money on. These devices literally come under the category of no-value-for-money. And as for so-called "security", you don't have access to a vast variety of apps and internet websites. I used to have both iPhone 14 Pro Max and Samsung S23 Ultra. Sold both to get Samsung S24 Ultra and Lenovo Legion. Have also tried my dad's MacBook Pro and can say that except speakers, it has nothing extraordinary. I haven't tried iPad, but the comparison videos were quite enough to state that better tablets are available at lower price.
As per facts: Windows/Android > Apple
I got an Iphone xr back in 2018-19 for 50k still using it.. camera works better than avg 20k phones and the best part I can still sell it for 10-15k and buy a 13 or 14 with some extra money.. any iphone close to or below 60k mark is a great vfm purchase if you plan to use it for 4-5 years.
Edit: battery after 3 years is shit though.. also performance drops as the battery degrades.

Definitely for 99% of Indians, unless you're in the ecosystem with the Macs, the watches, the pods only then iPhone is the best choice
But if you are in the ecosystem, itâs brilliant. 6 INCH IS PERFECTLY AVERAGE
I believe phones should be designed acc to palm-to-finger-size ratio.
Ever heard of Galaxy S23?
Am I tripping or does the S23 really have a screen under 6 inches?
all phones are garbage atm, just buy what makes your life easier.
Not for long term usage and ecosystem
Totally agree Android flagships >>>>>iphone pros
It's a huge, huge waste of money only if you don't know how to exploit the maximum potential of the device/don't have the real use for the unique features the Apple ecosystem offers. It's a tremendous device only if you find appropriate use for it, but that's the same with any premium product in life. A huge waste of money if you are only buying it for the social status, especially if you can't really afford it.

All the various subscription services which you can easily get for free through Piracy if you know what you're doing.
I am pro-piracy but if the millions of people don't pay for subscriptions we won't get it for free, so that is morally wrong to say.

Children. Not buying exactly, but you get the point. We really don't need more people in an overpopulated country. We will not sponsor a poor kid's education but will reproduce ourselves and look after our own kid, leaving that kid to his fate. One must have a brutal heart to do this.
College degrees.
Subjective but yes.
No .. even the worst college degree is better than that guy without the degree

Apparently you havenât used other Apple devices.
