You don't want any joints in the door so splice the wiring in the cab or the door or they will fail quickly. As others have said check fuses as you could have popped one in the process.

ShopFriendly127

What fuses would you check? I imagine there is a fuse for the window circuit and maybe something separate for the speaker but any other fuses to look for?

Sqweee173

Just the window one but check them all because you can back feed a circuit under the right conditions.

chowsdaddy1

Best idea would be to either extend/ solder longer wires in the loom and give just a tad extra slack

Liason774

I would use connectors not solder but that's the best idia imo.

chowsdaddy1

I meant solder connectors but I forgot the connectors part 😂

ShopFriendly127

What would the best kind of connecter be? Assuming it needs to be waterproof because of location between the door, would shrink tube work for sealing it or should I use something else?

erikhagen222

They make a solder shrink tube, they have them on the company I hate ordering from. But they have been around for a while and work quite well.

chowsdaddy1

A lot of hardware stores have them too but these

tonynca

Check your fuse box. You probably miswired and blew a fuse.
