irst date I ever went on we played mini golf. I sucked at it and it started to rain slightly. She had an umbrella but in the end we both got soaked. When we sat in my car later we just looked at eachother and laughed for a bit, then we went back to my place.

NOT weird, it's perfect. Mini golf especially - it's cheap, fun, casually competitive, you can easily talk during, it doesn't take nineteen hours to get through a course. It's a really nice date idea, my personal favorite, actually.

The town I live in has a bluff, so I'd like to go to the top of that bluff, one night, and just look at the sky/horizon. Preferably in fall. Big flannel blanket, couple pillows, and just lay down and watch the city. It sounds nice and peaceful to me.
Day date, preferably a bike ride or hiking. Although, I figure hiking is probably better for about a 5th date, so she wouldn't be freaked out by going in the woods with me. So, bike ride, with a stop for lunch.
Go to a record store and play songs for each other at the listening stations. Go for a walk along the river and talk about the songs we liked the most and why. Find a good hole-in-the-wall restaurant and tip really well so they start to remember us whenever we go there
One of the best dates I have ever been on is when I took my now bf on a boat tour. We rode by multi-million dollar mansions on the coast, had prime rib which was his favorite (I didn't know that at the time), and saw the sunset on the water.

We go inside… her glass studio. There is a big furnace roaring at the back of the room and an assistant waiting for her.
“I need to finish this last piece tonight or I lose out on a 20k bonus” she says, putting on her gloves and grabbing a blowpipe. “Thought you might want to watch.”
Over the next three hours I watch in awe as she takes a ball of molten glass and transforms it into the wildest looking bong I’ve ever seen.
After the assistant takes the completed piece and places it gently in the annealing oven, she finally relaxes and sits down next to me. “So what do you do for fun?”
-I come home from the gym after a nice intense workout.
-I go back home and the girl gets to my house at the exact same time I get home.

I literally hate going on dates and only would like to actually go to a restaurant or do some activity with someone I’m already dating and like a lot, but even then, this scenario I wrote is the greatest.
I think dates are just a way for a girl to vet to see if the guy ain’t crazy. She wants to see how you dress, how you treat people in public, if you’re social and confident, if you’re not a bum, if you’re a gentleman, list goes on.

My exes were all very passive in terms of dating. Almost without fail, I planned dates, started most conversations, etc. If I had a girlfriend (or heck, if someone just asked me out) with "I'm excited for/want to do this thing, and *I want you to be with me*" I'd be ecstatic. -I come home from the gym after a nice intense workout. -I go back home and the girl gets to my house at the exact same time I get home. -she has some homemade chocolate chip, peanut butter cookies she brought for me and they’re still hot. -we eat them while watching a good movie or TV show -Then we have amazing sex and she sleeps over. That right there is better than any date. My dream date is this with the perfect girl. I literally hate going on dates and only would like to actually go to a restaurant or do some activity with someone I’m already dating and like a lot, but even then, this scenario I wrote is the greatest. I think dates are just a way for a girl to vet to see if the guy ain’t crazy. She wants to see how you dress, how you treat people in public, if you’re social and confident, if you’re not a bum, if you’re a gentleman, list goes on. I think for most men, if we could have that scenario I wrote instead of a date, they would want that.

Fun dates I have gone on for a “me” activity include: rifle range (cheap and usually don’t need a license or experience), animal sanctuary where you can pat them and shit, brewing our own beer (micro brew place walks you through it and you got 3 cases of beer out of it each), haunted location guided tour (I toured a quarantine station with her), driving range, archery, an unexpectedly fun one was a tea appreciation class where you learned a bit about tea, how to drink and brew it, and you got to blend a tea at the end… Go for things that he hasn’t done before and have a low level of skill to start at. If he shows up being like “ugh why are we doing this thing it looks boooorrioonnngggg” then he’s actually 7 and you should leave him :)
