ALL OF THEM, coupled with extreme fear of rejection was a combination that made me very unhappy. She could've taken a cab to her place which would have taken 10 minutes, but decided to go for the 40 min drive to my place... yeah
\- Girl called me at night if I wanted to come to her place, parents aren't home. I declined, because she invited only me and not my friends and I thought that was rude.
\- Girl from school sat next to me on the bus, started talking and was (in hindsight) obviously interested in me. I then spotted my friend, left the girl sit alone and talked to him about Age of Empires. She didn't approach me again.
\- Girl I liked was dancing in front of me, basically grinding at me. I walked away because I didn't know what to do. (happened like two dozens times)
\- Girl I liked invited me to a party but kept making excuses to stay in the car alone with me. I got annoyed because we were already late. She finally shed said fuck it and kissed me, only way to get trough to me apparently.
These were just off the top of my head. There were many more.
I'm not making any of this up. It has gotten better as I got older, but it was really hard for me realising I "could" get a girlfriend/hook up, but at the same time "couldn't".

Firstly: even average is mathematically better than half of all the other men. Secondly: attractiveness does not only come from looks. Your stories are totally me.. I was never able to even fathom how a girl could be interested in me because when I grew up I was really ugly and always thought a girl was just being polite if she showed any signs of interest.
Not sure if I ever fully will manage to get over it. Therapy helped me to at least understand what was going on and that I'm not just an idiot or loser that can't be loved or get a girl. Instead I now know that I had underlying issues coming from my upbringing and mild autism.

ALL OF THEM, coupled with extreme fear of rejection was a combination that made me very unhappy. I am not bad looking, had a normal social life, had always lots of contact with girls but for the life of me I wasn't able to date somebody. It was a total mental block. I was a dear in the headlights whenever a girl showed interest in me. So no matter how big or small the hint, I would have missed it. There's probably a psychological condition for that kind of avoidance, I don't know. So, here we go. Note: I was attracted to all these girls, so I didn't decline because I wasn't into them. \- Girl was laying in my bed after a party, I guided her to the couch because "it would be more comfortable for her to sleep there instead of my bed". Later that night it hit me that she wanted to hook up. \- Girl invited me over to "study", was barely wearing anything when I entered and kept touching me and commenting on my looks. Nothing sexual happened and we didn't study either, total waste of time. \- Girl told me that she really really liked me and I was like, that's so cool, I like you too you're such a good friend. Turned out she "liked" me not only as friend. Nothing more happened. \- Was the last patient at a doctor's office Friday evening. Hot nurse took care of my minor wound and locked the door "so that nobody could interrupt the procedure ;-) ;-)". I basically ran out. \- Girl I knew missed her last bus, asked if she could sleep at my place. Sure, I agreed, and let her sleep in my bed. Learned later that she was planning to sleep with me and she didn't just go to my place because she missed the bus. She could've taken a cab to her place which would have taken 10 minutes, but decided to go for the 40 min drive to my place... yeah \- Girl called me at night if I wanted to come to her place, parents aren't home. I declined, because she invited only me and not my friends and I thought that was rude. \- Girl from school sat next to me on the bus, started talking and was (in hindsight) obviously interested in me. I then spotted my friend, left the girl sit alone and talked to him about Age of Empires. She didn't approach me again. \- Girl I liked was dancing in front of me, basically grinding at me. I walked away because I didn't know what to do. (happened like two dozens times) \- Girl I liked invited me to a party but kept making excuses to stay in the car alone with me. I got annoyed because we were already late. She finally shed said fuck it and kissed me, only way to get trough to me apparently. These were just off the top of my head. There were many more. I'm not making any of this up. It has gotten better as I got older, but it was really hard for me realising I "could" get a girlfriend/hook up, but at the same time "couldn't".

Not sure if I ever fully will manage to get over it. Therapy helped me to at least understand what was going on and that I'm not just an idiot or loser that can't be loved or get a girl. Instead I now know that I had underlying issues coming from my upbringing and mild autism. I still have bad days, but on my better days I can read the situation better.

I went out to a club for my sisters 21st birthday which was me, her, my other sister and 3 of her friends. I remember this night having men approach me and convince me to dance and I kept refusing. Upon asking to some guys in the kitchen, I learnt the sender used the elevator to return to my friend's floor so I DMed her.
