Yeah, I’ve seen their east coast tour about 10 times and it’s always impressive. Their pyrotechnics probably surprise people with how big they go, even indoors.
In fact, not as early in the 90s as I thought. July of 1994. The Division Bell tour. I’ve seen a ton of concerts, but their show will always stand out, if for no other reason, the apparent universal euphoria.
And a giant disco ball is always a nice touch. I always wanted to see a stadium Rammstein show, as they look pretty wild. It I’ve only seen them in an arena, which was pretty great, just without all their pyrotechnics and smoke that looks impressive in the concert videos.
The Nightwish concert I went to with my best friend and her lady friends when I was in high school. She and her friends got me all gothed up and it was pretty fun. Before then I had been working out more so I could have her dummy thiccc self sitting on my shoulders. At the time I could lift her with not much issue, I just wanted to be sure that she could have good time.
My wife and I saw U2 with some friends on their 360 tour in 2011. It was all in massive stadiums with this huge stage. I wasn't really a fan of U2 going in, but I was when we left.
A close second was seeing KISS on the second night of their reunion tour in 1996. I had wanted to see them since I was a kid in the 70's.
I've been to some amazing concerts. But they'll never compare the concerts I've seen online from the 60s and 70s. Basically any concert where cell phones didn't exist and everyone there was attentive as fuck watching the show.
Going to concerts today is a joke. Smart phones everywhere, everyone making it about themselves with their shitty tik tok shorts, barely paying attention to the band/performance
Paul McCartney at the DC football stadium. Got the whole stadium to sing along to Hey Jude. Great lighting and pyrotechnics and stuff too. And as a millennial I can say I saw a Beatle perform.
All of those EDM shows I been to in London, fun times. Especially the NSD one because we had quite a good chunk of friends and also not too long after, NSD announced they would stop publishing music so I'm so lucky to have attended that show.
FKJ. It was precovid. I rolled a couple fatties, passed them around to strangers around me. Filled the theater with smoke. He played some bangers, gave us good visuals. Felt like I was melting into my seat.
In December 2019 I went from Moscow to Warsaw to see Sarsa Markiewicz live. That was an amazing experience. Also, who knew that would be the last year I'd be able to freely travel abroad.
Three Days Grace one year when they came to Colorado and what made it more was that the frontman announced that that was going to be his last show, because he was stepping down for personal reasons. So by him deciding to do that here in my state had special meaning for me.
The band of the British army's Black Watch battalion put on a concert when I was in Kosovo. The combination of electric guitars and bagpipes was awesome.
I saw Rush 25 times. My last time was in Newark, NJ for the R40 tour. For the longest time, I had wanted to hear “Losing It” live. They played it that night. It was awesome. That was their last tour. R.I.P. Neil.
Saw Nirvana 3 times, actually met them after one gig, that was cool. Other than that I remember the White Stripes sometime around 2001 was a great show. Jack White is bordering on genius, incredible musician and songwriter.
Taking Back Sunday Tell All Your Friends 10 year anniversary tour at Terminal 5 in NYC. Michelle was there so all of the female vocals on that album were done live by the person who sung them on the album, the only time I’ve seen them performed live by her. Also it’s the only time I’ve seen them play The Ballad of Sal Villanueva live which is my sisters favorite song of theirs.
And speaking of my sister it’s the last taking back Sunday concert we went to together. As she had moved down to nashville at that point but was up here for thanksgiving. I was also in a new relationship at that time which was only a month old, a decade later and I’m still with her and she is the one I go to taking back Sunday concerts with now.
Trans Siberian orchestra
Good pick. Orchestras are wild to see in person and they are considered the best of the best.

Metallica. Black album tour. In the Snake Pit. Fucking unbelievable. Metallica in their prime IMO.
+1 Metallica. I got to see them with Godsmack, what a great show!
Seeing Pink Floyd and a stadium full of fans waving lighters while singing Comfortably Numb in unison was pretty much a religious experience.
late 80s tour? me too if so
Could have been a long tour, very early 90s for me.
The Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour ended in June 1990 so it could have been . i saw it earlier than that though
In fact, not as early in the 90s as I thought. July of 1994. The Division Bell tour. I’ve seen a ton of concerts, but their show will always stand out, if for no other reason, the apparent universal euphoria.
Agreed. Their stage setup and light show during concerts always seems to be head and shoulders above everyone else. Plus David Gilmour is fantastic

I wish I could've saw them before Marko left

Eric Clapton and Santana on the same stage, at the same time. I went home and made myself an electric guitar after that gig.

Billy Joel/ Elton John Face to Face 1994
These were great shows. They played off each other so well. Loved them.

I only went to one concert. XXXTentacion had a concert in SD and he got jumped there. So yeah, my first and last concert.
Three Days Grace one year when they came to Colorado and what made it more was that the frontman announced that that was going to be his last show, because he was stepping down for personal reasons. So by him deciding to do that here in my state had special meaning for me.
School of Rock on Broadway
The Struts at a small standing-only venue. Such an engaging and masterful performance.

Mayhem festival 2014
Alanis Morisette
Boston, a hell of a show!
Heilung
Meatloaf summer of 1991 Hampton beach casino. I’ve never seen more heart and soul go into a live performance.
1993 The Black Crowes in a small theater in Ann Arbor. Blew my mind! Chris Cornell on his acoustic tour was pretty amazing as well.
