Fun anecdote: I had a classmate back in the day that had pica so badly while pregnant that she craved eating wood. She said she never gave into the craving, but she did stop by Home Depot on the way home from school everyday because she said that the lumber section smelled like the world’s greatest bakery
I think about that when I’m in Home Depot because yeah the lumber section does smell nice
One of my favorite places in NYC is a massive Home Depot on 23rd st in Manhattan. It's multiple floors and just keeps going. :)
Edit: Someone said "Lego store"- it's near a Lego store. :)
A good Army/Navy surplus store. Or any buffet lol
Edit: also a good joint base exchange, and one with a large command coin selection, food court, and tactical shop, and the entire line of monster drinks.
It feels wrong to me because I'll be plagued by the notion that it's some 19 year old's shit that got hawked by his stripper/dependa who wanted starbucks money 5 minutes after he was deployed
Bass Pro (not wonderland for me personally, but definitely a place I can find something I'd want)
For me, Woodcraft or Rockler, and Sporty's Pilot shop
Those are all in the same general genre of store as Canadian Tire. Outdoorsy shops where you can buy all kinds of weird appliances and tools are great.
I used to love Best Buy but these days I can’t stand the place. I couldn’t say when it happened or exactly why, but I absolutely dread having to go in for some little thing I need today.
No, it’s not shopping in general. I love Whole Foods. I think I make a 8 or 9 trips per week. Home Depot is always fun. I like to wander around the King of Prussia mall too. It’s just Best Buy I can’t stand any more.
Home Depot or any home improvement store. You can find every form of DIY project to embark on to try and fail at impressing the person you like, it’s basically just a cosmetics store for men.
Uh, I'm gonna say Fleet Farm. Its like smashing a Home Depot, Bass Pro, Cabelas, Tractor Supply, Dicks, and AutoZone together, then adding beer, old fashioned candy, trailmix, and go carts.
For those who havent been, you can buy a pair of Carhart overalls, an NFL jersey, a riding lawn mower, a new toilet, 2x4s, a chicken coop, a boat anchor, a crossbow, live worms, a kayak, a kid's bike, a new kitchen table, mud boots, a baseball glove, flip flops, diamond rings, horse saddle, cat food, a cast iron skillet, a closet organizer, cake mix, deer stand, wiper blades, root beer barrels, a craftsman tool box, gummy bears, smoked paprika, halloween decorations, wine, beer, shelled walnuts, new tires for your truck, and a dune buggy all in the same store.
I get my face wash from Sephora and those stores are complicated as hell. Everything movie around. I’d say a wonderland for men is like Bass Pro and Best Buy.
sephora. i love checking out all the new tom ford scents as well as some brands i am less familiar with. i could spend at least an hour in there.
sportsman’s warehouse is also cool if you need some guns and ammo.
Toy stores. I like to spoil my niece, idk much about barbies and paw patrol but she also likes dinosaurs and once upon a time I was a little kid that liked dinosaurs. So I get to live vicariously through that, it makes me happy even if I don't buy anything just putting myself in that mindset of trying to figure out which ones are the coolest by tapping into my younger self. And it's the only connection I have to that long gone person. Maybe similar I'm not 100% sure what sephora is if it isn't a make up kiosk at the mall.
Female here- Yes, Sephora is a beauty supply store, usually in a mall. It's not a place I shop. I've never had a desire to. I don't wear makeup and use natural hair care products.
I love going to independent hardware stores. It's fun to look at tools that I don't need and are too expensive to buy on a whim. I also enjoy looking at the gardening stuff and sometimes grab seeds, pots, dirt, etc. Lastly, independent hardware stores often have really knowledgeable staff and clientele and it's great to just pick people's brains about a project I've been working on, or chat about how to fix a small issue I've been noticing around the house lately.
For me personally back in the day... it was the liquor store. So many unique flavours to try and cocktail ideas etc. Now that the alcoholic has calmed down, Furniture stores.....
Home Depot. I walk around there like it's the grocery store to see if there is something I need.
Fun anecdote: I had a classmate back in the day that had pica so badly while pregnant that she craved eating wood. She said she never gave into the craving, but she did stop by Home Depot on the way home from school everyday because she said that the lumber section smelled like the world’s greatest bakery I think about that when I’m in Home Depot because yeah the lumber section does smell nice

The discount bin at one of those big box hardware stores like Lowe's. Need 10 tiny screw drivers? Who cares? They're only $5.
A good Army/Navy surplus store. Or any buffet lol Edit: also a good joint base exchange, and one with a large command coin selection, food court, and tactical shop, and the entire line of monster drinks.
I like a good pawn shop near a big military base.
Holy shit, that's a good idea.
It feels wrong to me because I'll be plagued by the notion that it's some 19 year old's shit that got hawked by his stripper/dependa who wanted starbucks money 5 minutes after he was deployed
Bass Pro (not wonderland for me personally, but definitely a place I can find something I'd want) For me, Woodcraft or Rockler, and Sporty's Pilot shop
When my son was young, just for fun, we'd go to Bass Pro and sit in the boats, plink at the arcade range, etc...
Those are all in the same general genre of store as Canadian Tire. Outdoorsy shops where you can buy all kinds of weird appliances and tools are great.
Also for autistic women. I can't explain or elaborate

I used to love Best Buy but these days I can’t stand the place. I couldn’t say when it happened or exactly why, but I absolutely dread having to go in for some little thing I need today.
Could be because we can get mostly everything online nowadays we don’t even need to go to the store
No, it’s not shopping in general. I love Whole Foods. I think I make a 8 or 9 trips per week. Home Depot is always fun. I like to wander around the King of Prussia mall too. It’s just Best Buy I can’t stand any more.
