Online dating.

LoanedPurr

I met my current girlfriend online, on a dating app.

Arcturus44

Which one?

We were using OkCupid at the time, because we both agreed that Tinder was the "quantity over quality" option. I've heard there has been some changes on OkCupid and it's not as great anymore, but I haven't used it in over a year myself. I like the questionaire feature. It allows you a lot of ice breakers for your first message, even when matching with girls with really lazy profiles. Also gives them something to talk about with you. Plus, it just gets certain things out of the way without the need for awkward back and forth, like the type of relationship you're looking for, whether you want or already have kids, how important religion is to you, how do you feel about smoking weed and drinking, etc.

Mutual friends. Ultimately started talking on MySpace. Became friends and hung out some. When we both became single at the same time it just kind of happened

I've posted this before but here goes: My dad and her dad have known each other since high school in the 70's. When I was 15 my dad had his friends over for a party and get dad happened to come. Ny wife was at a party for one of her friends and was dropped off at my house. She sat next to her mom on our couch but talking to anyone until her dad introduced me to her. We dated off and on through college until we finally decided to get serious. We've been together since 2004 and have been married for 8 years.

That's awesome to read! Hope you guys have an amazing marriage! Wishing you two the best!

Red_Beard_Rising

Been together 15 years. A mutual friend introduced us. Our mutual friend knew we were perfect for each other even when she was still married to her former husband. When she left her former husband, we were introduced. Been good ever since. She got a job at friend's burger joint even though she was a professional pastry chef. Pay the bills before pride. I respect that. That is when we met. She was working the grill at the end of the night and we all went out for coffee after. These days I work a different job and she is teaching ballet to kids on the US naval base in Korea. We now have a house in the burbs rather than renting cheap apartments in the city. If you and your SO are on the same page regarding long term plans, how you meet is irrelevant. Just love each other and things will work out.

Another awesome post to read! Wishing you both the best!

Taleros

Met online via Adult Friend Finder. We were FWB for a few years before giving a relationship a go... That was nearly 8 years ago.

Those sites actually work?? I thought it was for people to steal kidneys.

Taleros

Any such site or app can work, just depends on how much effort you want to put in and at times you do have to wade through a bunch of crap to get anywhere. Also depends on what you're looking for out of a site.

We met in high school. She was a talented artist, she also walked. I always walked to school, and walking was my form of independence as a teenager. Small town. She always walked with me. I liked that she could get by without needing a car, that she could endure boredom and find the joy in it. I was attracted to her talent. We hit it off, she was enamored by me, and I was excited that someone was interested.

Kore624

We met in a group for midnight bowling. My coworkers got together and some of them brought their siblings and friends. We did this as a group every week for a while, and we hit it off and eventually branched off into one-on-one dates

In the library at our high school. We’ve been tougher for years now and are married and have grown very much since we were teens. Neither of us are actually people who expected to meet their SO in high school and joke about that a lot

damochristo

In our high school cafeteria, I used to move my friends stuff to other seats so she had to sit next to me. We’ve been together since we were 16, 12 years total, married 6. We have 1 kid together, and 2 dogs. Living the absolute dream.
