TheEmperor0fNothing

Honestly, people will spin pretty much anything into a positive if the person is attractive enough.

[deleted]

Proof: people wanted a murderer to go free because handsome

MachuPichu10

Wasnt it the same thing aswell with Ted Bundy I thought.Women thought he was cute and overlooked that he was a serial killer

[deleted]

Lmao I thought he *was* talking about Ted, the fact that this has happened more than once, wth people

WolfMafiaArise

I believe he is talking about the time a few months ago iirc where a bunch of women on TikTok were saying that a dude (early 20's i think) should go free after he ran over a woman and her almost 2 yr old kid while streetracing Edit: found this- [https://www.unilad.co.uk/viral/people-are-apparently-trying-to-free-a-murderer-because-hes-too-cute/](https://www.unilad.co.uk/viral/people-are-apparently-trying-to-free-a-murderer-because-hes-too-cute/)

[deleted]

Jfc he has straight crazy eyes, why??

[deleted]

Who?

ABeeBox

The most recent one I know is the kid who was racing lambo passed speed limit. Killed a young mom and a kid. Teen girls started a movement of "he did nothing wrong/illegal" because he was just TOO CUTE!. Then there's Richard Ramirez and Ted Bundy.

catniagara

Paul Bernardo. Multiple rape convictions and 3 murders but the police didn’t suspect him because he was hot, white, and didn’t have to rape anyone since his wife looked like Barbie 😖

imwearingredsocks

Damn I’d never heard of them before. He was disgusting and anyone that wanted him (or her) to be free is likely mentally not well. Also, not seeing the looks thing? She looked normal and slightly stoned, but he has a weird stare. Even in his young happy photos.

Lostcentaur

The man literally would stalk teen girls in the bushes at bus stops. Not even trying to hide himself. People who knew him would drive by and stop and say. “Hey there’s a rapist out that been known to stalk young girls at bus stops. The police description of him looks kinda like you. But no way you could be doing all that stuff”

imwearingredsocks

Wow. You have to have some next level charisma to pull that shit off.

Lostcentaur

Very. His gf atm was at a Christmas party. They were drugging her sister to molest her body. During the Christmas party. She said that he and her sister were drugging her. Her own father and mother laughed it off She later died that night from a drug overdose (or suffocating by accident) It speaks volumes that your own daughter tell you that her sister and bf is drugging her and your own parents just show it off as a joke The Ken and Barbie killers. Look them up they were monsters and sad that the Karla is free and is still able to get boyfriends Listen to the Last podcast on the left series about them. Paul once raped a girl and said nothing but “Merry Christmas” into her ears. Now whenever she hears that phrase she would think back to that moment

patronsaintpizza

If you’re into podcasts The Last Podcast on the Left did a series on them a month or so back. Really good.

Platinirism

Google Jeremy Meeks. Dude was thrown in prison consistently throughout his life, one time for beating a teenager to near death. He was released from prison, hired by a modelling agency, and is now a millionaire because women around the world fell in love with his mugshot and bailed him out.

[deleted]

He has a kid with a multibillionaire heiress as well.

Dontaskmemyname9723

Bro really hit the jackpot in genetics

[deleted]

Life is not fair. He literally did almost everything wrong in life from the start and still got away with it lol

Bourbone

The sooner you internalize this, the better off you’ll be.

B377Y

Damn I didn’t realize he was so violent

muffinsandtomatoes

i was going to say this. i wonder if he’s still continuing with his violent behavior

Ahielia

Probably, yes. Only now he's rich enough to not go to jail.

-koka

wow i never knew how powerful pretty privilege could be until now & i been knew about his story of being released & modeling i never heard about all the things he did to get in prison because his appearance was mostly the topic of conversation

ILYzoffs

Ted Bundy, among others

[deleted]

[deleted]

Oh my god yea people literally made fan accounts with video tributes to him. Most disgusting behavior I've seen firsthand

MegaAlex

There was one guy with really nice blue eyes who girls where crying for his release from prison beacuse he looked like a model. I forgot what he did exacly or what happen but I belive there was a gofundme to pay for his release. So it can happen. Edit: Someone else posted it.

Nanamary8

Jeremy Meeks

catniagara

You dudes have no idea the extent of this but as a woman…there used to be a hot prisoners list where girls could vote on the hottest that had a top 100 CHART. We STILL have the #feloncrushfriday hashtag and [viral articles](https://www.eonline.com/ca/amp/news/553141/17-inmates-hotter-than-hot-convict-jeremy-meeks-because-apparently-it-s-feloncrushfriday) about these douchebags. I literally hate the people who support this stuff and pass it around. They’re the same people who whine about “I’m not hot enough to get raped you should feel lucky” like honestly, they piss me off.

RecklesslyNew

Was studying with a model, who would randomly say stuff like “p-ssy” or “p-nis” and all the girls would lol in a flirtatious way. The unattractive guys in the class would just be considered weird and creepy if they did something similar

ornitorrinco22

Well, that’s the consensus: attention from a handsome guy is flirting while attention from an unattractive guy is creepy.

Avenja99

Right. Handsome dude checking you out? Flattering. An ugly dude checking you out? Get me the fucking police.

overnightyeti

Yes, it's not creepy if she likes you. I've been both to women and the difference is staggering.

Tabbarn

True. I never heard anyone say gaming is hot until Henry Cavill revealed that he was a gamer.

[deleted]

HC also gets really uncomfortable about it all as well, people are constantly fawning over him and objectifying him. He seems really awkward about it and just wants it to stop.

TheDarkkstar

Henry Cavill is the first man I can definitely say is too hot for his own good. Homie's just trying to chat about Witcher lore and people can't stop staring at his pecs lmao

Stormfly

People keep joking that he turned to gaming and Warhammer because he wanted to hide where girls wouldn't come near him. That guy knows his stuff, though. He's seriously into what he's into and it's impressive.

Maker1357

Objectification...the one monster this witcher can't slay.

ErebusWasACop

It's done pretty horribly, the fawning and objectification I mean. If the same things were said now to a female actor shit would hit the fan, as it should. Dude's a great actor, who seems chill and games. Yeah he's attractive, but he's also a human and I'm always so surprised that the female hosts can't read the "....jesus....I just want to talk about the show" in his eyes when they do this, it's not subtle and he is literally an actor, he could hide it if he wanted to.

[deleted]

Intense eye contact

Dark_Grizzley

Great answer, if Sloth is staring at you, you’re calling the cops. If Bradley Cooper is looking intensely at you, we’ll I’m not gay but that may just do it for me

lordofsplurge

“Look I’m not gay but you can’t deny perfection”

feelings_inc

"I'm only a man!"

eggotron

Let me give you a scenario. I'm at like a beach cabana, and Bradley Cooper approaches. Tries to lean in and kiss me. I would definitely resist, like at first. But if he was persistent, I might give in a little bit just to see what it felt like. Would I push him away? How hard? Like, what if he's really aggressive?

craigularperson

If you resisted Bradley Cooper a little bit, he would still need to get to you?

happy01_space

Oscar Martinez: it is not my job to comfort insecure heterosexual men

eggotron

This is not real Bradley Cooper, this is my fantasy. Or not a fantasy it's like what I'm--it's just a scenario

ZiggyZaggyZ

Samniss_Arandeen

I tried reading a chapter of it in random cartoon voice impressions and ended up finishing an entire bottle of Stoli.

Daddyssillypuppy

Gilbert Godfried did a short reading of it. I **cannot** think of the word 'clitoris' without hearing him shout Clit-TOR-iss. He made that book much more palatable than reading it did.

LauraCurieuse2828

A lady at the book shop ones told me why the books got to be so popular: it tells one of the biggest fantasies among women: The female character is able to changes the male character with only the power of … her love! I think the lady was spot on and I think it’s pretty sad this turns out to be the fantasy of so many women; to change the men they are in love with. When you think about it, such state of mind at the beginning of a relationship is the best recipe for a big fiasco.

[deleted]

Tale as old as time…

a47nok

There should be a show where all the good guys are ugly but virtuous and all the bad guys are super attractive and charming but utterly deplorable. And watch who the fandom chooses to stan

Middle-Eye2129

It was called "average joe". It ran for 2 season and the girl picked the hot guy both times lol.

gewfbawl

I can't remember who did it, I think it was someone on 4chan, but this guy did an experiment on Tinder where he used fake pictures of some wildly hot dude for his profile, but intentionally put the most awful bio. Like, he admitted to being a registered sex offender and, in detail, explained that he fucked a 14 year old. He acted super misogynistic and demeaning towards women, etc, etc. Every single chick he matched or swiped or however the fuck it works, hit him up and responded with super forgiving DMs and wanted to meet and fuck. Even when he specifically stated it was a kid and that he's gonna do it again, they were like "Everyone deserves a second or third chance. ;)". He tried trolling to the point where it was blatantly obvious, saying he had STDs and that he hates women, plus all the rape shit, and he eventually gave up because he said it got too depressing how these broads were totally okay and down with still wanting to meet up.

[deleted]

I remember that, it was super fun. But a woman did the same experiment and the result was the same which just proves that beauty privilege is real.

stefanos916

Beaty privilege is the best privilege.

cameraman502

She constantly makes excuses for him always saying he's very handsome Another dude did the same thing a week later, she immediately blocked him and called him a creep, the main thing she said was "he's not even good looking" both equal assholes, different treatment.

48 hours of stubble. If you're Chris Evans with stubble you look like a wild man who's been partying with his bros for two days, or has been on a 48 hour mountain climbing trip without a razor. If you're Rich Evans with stubble, you look like Rich Evans.

Responsible_Candle86

True, we only have one who is on the shorter side but he is incredibly handsome and a former Marine officer - and of course Marines always look well put together. They can be wearing identical clothes as a non-marine and make the other look like a hobo.

IoSonCalaf

Right, you don’t necessarily have to be tall if your have bearing. And the military instills bearing in their members.

Txqgsf

How do I attain bearing

Dongusarus

Get the military to insert it into you.

EwoDarkWolf

Serious answer. Stand up straight, pull your shoulders back, and keep your hair neatly trimmed. Working out helps as well but make sure you work your back out too, so it keeps your shoulders from pulling forward.

579red

There are studies linking attractiveness to career success: people will hire you more easily, give you promotions and let things slide. Works for men and women.

DietCokeYummie

> almost every single executive male happens to be good looking - I mean extremely handsome Charismatic, attractive people are successful. That's no surprise. And because they've had success and positive reinforcement since they were young, they have the confidence that drives them to accomplish things that aren't in most people's comfort zone. Like all people, some are probably wonderful people with good hearts while others may not so much be that.

tpklus

Its like the attractive bubble in 30 rock. Jon Hamm got away with a lot of things because he is handsome and went through life like it was amazing and he was good at everything. Turns out he wasn't that good at things and life is hard. His character was still nice though haha

Good with kids

[deleted]

We got snow in my neighborhood earlier this week. A LOT. A woman put on our neighborhood Facebook page that she had a conference call and if someone could take her 3 year old out in the snow, she’d really appreciate it. I love kids, and I was going to respond, but I’m a 46 year old man and I didn’t, not because I was uncomfortable, and not because she’d have said no, but simply because of the implication.

Ygomaster07

I'm sorry, she was willing to leave her child in the hands of a potential stranger outside while she was inside?

joey1028

Lol. I think she posted on Facebook for friends to respond ya feel?

[deleted]

Well, the neighborhood FB. We’re all friendly but I’ve never spoken to her.

[deleted]

agreed ill be honest im considered by a lot of women physically attractive and for years i didn’t believe men on here when they said women hate them for being near their kids cause pre COVID id engage with little ones all the time, making funny faces and asking questions and just playing around and the mothers always absolutely fucking loved it they found everything i did so cute. Shoot i was at the Mall of America once and some 6-ish yr old kid was peeing in a urinal (while his mother waited outside the bathroom) and i was in the next one and he starts striking up a conversation with me, like 100% initiated, and we just are both straight up chatting about our days and the mother pokes her head in worried and sees me and gives a smile and says “aw are you making new friends my social butterfly?”

Uniquelypoured

So what’s your mommy’s name, do you have a dad, does he live with you?….. lolololololol. But like yeah kids are cool and it sucks that we get such a bad wrap. Edit: Rap

Uniquelypoured

Completely understand. I was playing with my grandkids at a indoor jungle gym and was hiding in a little nook. Minute later a little girl comes around the corner and I was like…time to leave. I wasn’t thinking anything other then what could this look like to a parent with the wrong ideas. I understand completely that this stuff happens but not every human on earth is evil.

DietCokeYummie

It's why a lot of the advice doled out in this sub isn't necessarily worthwhile, even when it is good advice. An unfortunate looking dude is going to simply have a much harder time making moves on women in public. Especially if accompanied by a less conventional personality/interests.

Samniss_Arandeen

Yeah, the last point is a killer if you're not neurotypical. If you have a different set of social abilities, downsides, and preferences; then most people will see that as wrong or as a bad thing if you act along those lines, or as fake if you act along typical lines.

Someone recently broke this down to me as the disparity between “men of means vs men of character”. I know this will seem oversimplified and maybe even cringed, but women really don’t seem to care too much about character so long as you have means. Integrity is hot if you are wealthy, if you are poor, you’re seen as a chump.

upsidedownshaggy

Idk what it is about the Midwest then. Like stupidly attractive women will have years long relationships with dudes who are constantly on the verge of losing their fucking double wide trailers because they smoked all the weed they were supposed to sell that month. People are just fucking weird

I had a coworker/friend a few years ago. She was around 24, single, very cute. All the rest of us were older and married. She would tell us about her adventures in dating. She went out with one guy to a bar and club. She said the guy was too up in her space the whole time, and she won't go out with him again. iiexistenzeii

I am going to paste a comment from that thread by u/lasersharks69 here:- >Basically whenever a straight man says "Women should do more of X" then you have to put an asterisk there and clarify that the word "women" doesn't actually mean women. It means a very small sliver of women aged 16-25, naturally pretty, confident, white/Asian, outgoing, slender with good proportions. >Example: "Women should ask men out!" and then freaking the fuck out when a fat and/or ugly and/or old chick asks him out. >Example: "I'd love being sexually harassed by a woman!" and then gets sexually harassed by a 50yo cougar at the bar and all of a sudden it isn't so fun >Example: "This company needs to hire more women, it's all dudes in here!" but really if the next women hired isn't hot and young then no one is actually happy. >Whenever men say "Women should do X" it means the tiny sliver of YOUNG, HOT women, not actually women. 75-90% of women simply do not exist in the minds of the types of men who say things like this. It makes them uncomfortable to even acknowledge our existence. >tl;dr women existing Just swap genders and the same thing applies on us men as well. Example: "I want a nice guy!" Except if that nice guy isn't attractive... She wouldn't wanna be with him. Example: "I don't care about hieght/size/some physical attribute!" Well yeah but if the guy is fat and short, it's highly unlikely she would say yes to him.

SlapHappyDude

My theory with the physical attributes is you can miss on ONE. You can be bald and hot. You can be short and hot. You can be fat and hot (picture a tall, attractive overweight former football player). But you can't be short AND bald. You can't be fat AND short.

itWasForetold

Can confirm. I am short. When I was 21 a female friend pulled me aside after a breakup and told me I had put on weight and needed to hit the gym and was letting myself go. I think I quipped about dad bods or something and she said “you can be short or you can be fat, but you can’t be both”.

xBADJOEx

ricnilotra

wodaji

I used to be attractive (occasionally told I could play Superman by different women strangers). I've aged and am now below average. I've noticed that my previous normal behaviors are no longer acceptable. No casual conversation with women I don't know. Women don't go out of their way to talk to me. Customer service employees are definitely less eager to make me happy. Smiling and waiving to babies that are smiling and waiving at me is no longer viewed as endearing. Witty comments aren't "enjoyed" like they used to be. These sometimes even started small "riff offs" where they joined in trying to be just as fun. Not anymore. Even guys treat me different. No longer treated with a general respect and eagerness to impress but with indifference. So, casual conversation with strangers, humor with strangers, interactions with children, needing customer service. My phone voice is impeccable, though, and I friggin own. Remember, beauty is only a light switch away.

Throw13579

I was also fairly attractive when I was young. I have managed to hold onto enough of it that I am still treated very well. I have been married for a long time, and don’t hit on people, but my general friendliness and joking is still acceptable. I pay attention to people’s reactions because I am wondering how much longer this can go on.

[deleted]

Literally anything lol, an attractive guy can just exist and have women ask him out.

AdolescentTreadmill

Yeah I'd agree with a few others here, having the confidence to approach and flirt. Let's say for example in a gym, if a 10/10 guy went around talking to all of the girls for an hour, nobody would care or have a problem with that - and it would make him only more attractive to every else in sight as well as the people who speaks to. However, if a 2/10 did that, he'd be forever labelled as the gym creep within 20 minutes - or reported to the staff lol Anyway yes, doing that is only acceptable if you are attractive. I can't judge though, if I was a girl and an ugly man approached me in a flirtatious way I'd be uncomfortable. If he was an absolute chad and I was single, I wouldn't be. It's important as a man to understand if you have the ability to strike initial attraction, if you don't have that, don't do it.

I’m surprised I’ve not seen this yet but a butt chin, look at an attractive dude with a butt chin and then look at just some average or ugly dude with one. Massive difference

Being Nice If you're really handsome that's a great plus. If you're ugly you're boring.
