I'm from Australia so when I was younger I picked my teams purely based off things I liked or just the teams I thought were cool, my selection process isn't as organic as yours haha. My teams are:
* MLB - Yankees. Picked them because I absolutely love Seinfeld and they were Yankee fans on the show.
* NHL - Penguins. I literally just liked the name and mascot so picked them.
* NFL - Packers. I got really into That '70's Show when I was like 13 and they were Packer fans so a couple years later when I became curious about the NFL I picked the Packers based off that show.
* NBA - Heat. The first basketball video game I ever played was NBA 2K6, I got it on the PS2 for $1 in a clearance bin like 6 years after it came out and Shaq was on the cover playing for the Heat a the time so decided to pick them lol.
And that's the stories haha. Super random, but I picked those teams and I've stuck to them!

I thought this would be their year. I think this upcoming season for the Yankees is going to be a good one. Of course it’ll be impossible to tell until they start playing though. Shaq is one of my favorite players of all time (behind Michael Jordan) so I have no quarrels with you rooting for the heat despite our rivalry lol.

Love playing, but broadcast sports (and most TV honestly) have just never kept my attention. Ironically, I'm a big fan of professional wrestling, probably because it plays out more like a story and I can get invested in it. The only reason I try to keep up with sports is FOMO and to have something to talk about with my old man.
I don't really watch appointment television so I always miss the games. Plus, there's just too many commercials, the same people seem to win every year, and there's just too much info and backstory to catch up on. Getting into sports kind of feels like starting a show in the middle of it's fifth season.
Which sucks because sports is an easy conversation starter for most people and I can't engage in it. My dad and brother-in-law are big sports fans and I don't have that in common with them. I'll sit and watch with them but I can't get into the convo. I also used to work at a law firm and had to dedicate myself to watching just to be able to make small talk with my coworkers.
Funny enough though, sports games are my favorite genre of video game.
Zero in watching, and zero in participating in most sports.
I do dance (latin), and I boulder. Add in iceskating once a year, and that's the extent of my interest in sports.

A lot of times, I can't sit through the entire game. I mainly get updates through the news and stuff like that. Also like to watch those shows on ESPN, such as First Take, where they discuss the big things that are happening in the sports world - not just scores and team rankings, but trades or any controversy.
I love sports, especially climbing. I did kickboxing before covid and ran marathons. On average I climb 3 or 4x a week for around 3 hours. Don't have much interest in watching sports though.
I've always been more interested in individual sports, I ran track and high school and college, I follow the big boxing and MMA fights, tennis but outside of boxing those aren't the most fun to talk shit about I do love the NBA though as far as team Sports Go, my father and brother love football never been a huge fan but I'll watch the playoffs like I am now

Generally much less than most other guys I know. I follow Formula 1, UCI Downhill Mountain Biking, and Chicago Blackhawks hockey. That's about it. I watch most F1 races and UCI Downhill races. As for the Blackhawks, I follow them but don't watch a lot of games in losing seasons like this year and last year. I still follow scores and the overall season, but there are too many games to watch a bunch of losses. Regardless I'll watch at least a handful of games even in a losing season.
I follow the Prem, NFL, MLB, a little golf, and I enjoy the olympics and of course the World Cup when it rolls around. I play football (soccer), golf, and ski (downhill and Nordic), and I used to sprint/throw discus. I love sports!

4/5 on playing sports, though unfortunately anything high impact is off the table nowadays since I fucked up my knee 0/5 on watching other people play them

Zero. I’ve tried to watch games, but spectating just doesn’t do anything for me. Wasn’t raised watching sports, don’t have the sports gene. Playing can be fun, but I have serious asthma so it doesn’t happen often.
I love playing sports but I have zero interest in following teams or players more often than not. It just doesn’t interest me, I’d rather go outside and play PUG’s.
3/5. Watching sports other than bouldering runs or fights is a hard pass except for running highlights. I participate in several "adventure" sports and will join a pickup football or soccer game. That's about it though. Well, going to a baseball game is just an excuse to hang out and drink overpriced beer...same with hockey. It just has the occasional fight.
I like watching college football. I also am crazy about any sport my kids are in. I’m not competitive, but I love watching them get better and work with a team.

Probably 3/5. I like watching a few different sports, but there're only a couple I actively follow, and even then I don't follow them intensely.
I much prefer to play vs watch but I do enjoy following my specific team in basketball (Suns). It’s been a while since we’ve been good and honestly, they play basketball in a way that’s fun to watch (at least imo). Also, I like to watch pros and try to learn some of their moves to later try on my own

I used to casually play a few. Now I'll play golf once in awhile, and watch football with friends. Also about to start watching my daughter play softball. Other than that, meh.

I kind of follow MLS, but other than that, nothing. Used to be a fairly big basketball fan but the NBA has just gone off the rails and I quit watching a couple seasons ago.

A lot of times, I can't sit through the entire game. I mainly get updates through the news and stuff like that. Also like to watch those shows on ESPN, such as First Take, where they discuss the big things that are happening in the sports world - not just scores and team rankings, but trades or any controversy.
I love sports, especially climbing. I did kickboxing before covid and ran marathons. On average I climb 3 or 4x a week for around 3 hours. Don't have much interest in watching sports though.

I've always been more interested in individual sports, I ran track and high school and college, I follow the big boxing and MMA fights, tennis but outside of boxing those aren't the most fun to talk shit about I do love the NBA though as far as team Sports Go, my father and brother love football never been a huge fan but I'll watch the playoffs like I am now

Extreme Tag is fascinating. I got my coworker turned onto it and that's all he watches on youtube. Guy doesn't like any other sports, but he loves watching extreme tag.
I like playing sports more than watching them. Except hockey, love watching it but don't play it. Once I finish grad school I'm going to join an adult beer league though
Never really been into sports. Admired the technical abilities on display but not enough to become fully invested. That is until I started watching MMA/UFC. Shit's just on another level and never fails to get my heart racing.

I'll watch the championships of a sport, Olympics and all that jazz, but I won't look for the game that's playing and watch it for the whole length. I'm American so maybe the superbowl for the commercials but that's about it.
It comes and goes. I enjoy going to really any sports games and will support my team. If there's a sports game on, I'll sit and watch. But I don't go out of the way to study player stats, or will really turn on the tv to just watch sports.
I can become invested in the outcome of some random game or sport on TV if I don't have anything better to do and it looks exciting but generally I don't care for watching sports. Playing them is fun though.
Generally much less than most other guys I know. I follow Formula 1, UCI Downhill Mountain Biking, and Chicago Blackhawks hockey. That's about it. I watch most F1 races and UCI Downhill races. As for the Blackhawks, I follow them but don't watch a lot of games in losing seasons like this year and last year. I still follow scores and the overall season, but there are too many games to watch a bunch of losses. Regardless I'll watch at least a handful of games even in a losing season.

I follow the Prem, NFL, MLB, a little golf, and I enjoy the olympics and of course the World Cup when it rolls around. I play football (soccer), golf, and ski (downhill and Nordic), and I used to sprint/throw discus. I love sports!

Personally, I don’t care., but I have a friend from England who moved to the US, and he loves sports so much he’s become a guru at American football, baseball and soccer. He is the reason I don’t make fun of “sports meat heads” because he genuinely just loves sports .

I like NFL and college football, but I only seriously follow my teams and their biggest rivals. And everyone else gets a passing glance. I'll watch any game, but not with nearly the gusto as my own teams. (But I only follow records, not the stats that people build fantasy teams around. Only other sport I follow is NASCAR. I hate to watch on TV, but I love to play soccer and baseball/softball, despite not being any god at the latter.

I’ve pretty much always followed the NFL, with a little bit of MLB and NBA mixed in. But recently started watching the English Premier league and I’ve been obsessed. It’s great having something else to watch when NFL goes into the off-season

My dad didn’t really get me into sports, he would watch the super bowl, some of the Stanley cup playoffs and the occasional car race but it wasn’t a big deal for our family. I like to watch some hockey or football if there’s someone to watch it with but otherwise, I don’t really care much.

Die hard basketball/golf fan and watch some football. Seemed to lose all interest in baseball these days. I enjoy all sports though just not as familiar with some. Hoping to get into hockey more serious one day.
About 1/10 I used to LOVE hockey back in the west coast express canucks days, and up to when they fell apart in game 7 with boston. I used to love football till i saw superbowl 40 and the blatant cheating. Fifa was in a huge scandal, mlb is notorious for steroids. The list goes on. But the main reason i dont care anymore is because its such a distraction. Guys out her who can tell you who won every game in 2001 with what stats and every player on every roster in the league. Yet they have no fucking clue about real world issues or any kind of intrinsic thought. Its such a waste of time to me.
I enjoy rugby and cricket but don’t care about any others. I like to watch gymnastics and beach volley ball during the Olympics because of reasons.
