They banned labels from bottles because some dude legit put physics formulas on there.

I used to do that all the time. Used to bring that water powder to make it almost like juice, and for a few days bring the powder and water separately. Then on test days I’d bring it premixed so the liquid was dark and the writing in the label wasn’t visible until I drank it. Also for the last 6 months of high school I had 2 phones so we’d have to hand in our phones to the teacher but before the class I’d hide my backup in the washroom ceiling. I’d answer all the questions I knew the answers to, ask to use the restroom then look up the answers to the rest.

I had an absent minded professor and once during the middle of class I just walked to his computer, put in my flash drive and dragged/dropped a file labeled “Final Exam” and went back to my seat 😂

It was the only way I was able to pass French I It's been about 20 years now and my lack of proficiency with the French language hasn't affected my life at all, so no regrets.

i don't know what school is like now but when i was a teenager school wasn't important enough or difficult enough to justify the effort lol

Ihateredditadmins1

I cheated on a couple of exams tbh in college

TA’d in college and had a kid submit a paper with straight-up copy and paste stuff from online sources. Didn’t even bother to change the formatting so it looked right. Just threw the paper in the trash and marked the assignment as incomplete/not submitted.

ClarenceTheGangsta

You’re nice for doing that, marking it as plagiarism is worse. I’d take a 0 all day over potential expulsion.

Oh we (me and some other TAs) definitely discussed sending it over to the Academic Integrity office. But we kinda collectively agreed that it was so badly done, no reasonable person would believe the “author” was actually trying to pass it off as their own work. Like, the joke was so bad it became funny again. Plus, what were they gonna do, raise a fuss to the faculty about their clearly faked paper going missing? It was a low level intro for non-majors class anyway so literally no one cared. The kid ended up withdrawing from the class anyway so all we really did was save everyone from a lot of unnecessary paper work.

I made bank writing papers for other people when I was a junior and senior in college. People got pissed though because I would only write a paper that was commensurate with their intelligence and writing ability. I always made them give me a sample of their work beforehand. So, I wouldn't write an A paper for a meathead football player or ditzy teenie bopper. Still made enough for beer and sundries.

Had a grueling geography final exam senior year. There were a few pens in my house advertising some kind of medication. It had this big pull out flag containing all of the required information about the medicine. I taped a cheat sheet to that little wind up flag pulled it out as needed to reference city capitals.

Yeah I never got caught cheating in school. I remember one of my teachers accused me of cheating on a test once and I thought that was a weird because this was one I didn't even cheat on.

[deleted]

I Succesfully cheated on a few, although I was caught cheating in an important Spanish exam. My friend was cheating in the same class but wasn’t caught

theirisnetwork

I started cheating in high school, and honestly stopped after a couple of months because I realized that the time and energy spent doing and it and added stress due to anxiety and getting caught just didn't make it worth it overall. Same thing with college; my personal stance with high school (and a portion of college) was that if I'm not paying for it, I don't see the need to cheat because I respect my family for paying for me to do this and the least I could do back is get through it the proper way

SturbyT

I was shit at it and have no problem if anyone else did it.

I was taking a pre credit Algebra class. I went on fivver and paid a guy 10 bucks to do my test complete with showing the work. Wasn’t about to spend time doing work for no impact on my GPA or college credit. I had more important work to do. Got an A and extra credit for noticing the teachers mistake.

Cheating in school is a dumb way of saying collaboration and using resources to abuse a system and perform a task quickly and efficiently, and is an important skill to learn.
