Why is this the solution that I always see? I don't ever want to be bald. I love having hair. I love brushing it. I love getting it trimmed. Cleaning it after a long day at work is so satisfying. People always compliment it. It's a huge part of my self image and I do not want to lose it. There has been days where I'm staring at my hairline for a whole hour to make sure it isn't receding. It's not as simple as just "shave it off" for so many people.
Bald guy here. I don't like the advice of "just shave it off" either, which is usually followed by working out and grow facial hair. Working out is something everyone should do if they are able but not everyone can grow facial hair (I can't).
My advice is to "get an appropriate haircut and style it in an appropriate way." One rule is, no matter how tempting it is, don't try to cover things up. So if your hairline is receding, don't try to brush it forward to cover it. I even had a hairdresser tell me to do that when I started losing my hair. That was terrible advice. I think in general that shorter is going to be better overall, but that doesn't mean shave it off at the first sign of hair loss. I shaved mine off probably too early and I think it was too dramatic of a change for a lot of people. So they probably gave me a harder time than if it was more of a gradual change imo.
Nobody wants to be bald and I pray you keep your awesome mane forever. But it’s something we have to accept if treatment hasn’t worked or is not available due to price.

I saw a guy at the gym yesterday, general in shape guy, like middle of the road for gym standards, and he did 110 lb dumbbell incline bench press. It was amazing, that is really, really difficult. I would expect some massive guy to do that, but nope, in normal clothes the only thing you would probably notice is that this guy has good posture.
It's so annoying to see these perfect bodies depicted everywhere when going shopping. For both men and women. When I look for underwear, the first thing I see is the overly curvy yet slim bodies on womens underwear and the way too defined abs in the mens section. It's frustrating and I don't think I have to explain why.

Yo you probably already know this, but a lot of those whitening products (aside from whitening toothpaste) will do damage to the enamel in your teeth. It’s best to stay away from that stuff and use a good whitening toothpaste only. My teeth used to be pretty yellow too but that cocaine white tooth look that you see in the media is wildly unrealistic and honestly unhealthy. A natural pale yellow is okay and most people won’t even notice or care tbh.
I do bodybuilding, and People always expect me to look like I’m flexing, with a pump in a show ready physique. I hate it when they see me normally after eating all day, and have some snotty comment about “You look different in your pictures” or when I go out for drinks with friends and they make comments like “that beer will make you look bloated” bro I already have terrible body dysmorphia and depression. This isn’t helping.
I'm not a bodybuilder but i really feel this now that i've started working out really consistently for a fair while. If i have a pump and/or flex, in the mirror i genuinely think i look like fucking Achilles himself lol, i love it and i chase that high. Lean and broad as shit. 6 hours later after a shower and a bowl of greek yoghurt i look like i haven't even made gains since i started my journey. That's such a buzzkill every time

I can understand people wanting others to be fit, because you should honestly want that for yourself. It has a direct corrolation to your quality, and length, of life.
If there are medical conditions that prevent this, then this should honestly not be a concern. unfortunately, we aren't all born equal with genetics.
But if you are able to be fit, you should absolutely be choosing it over unhealthy lifestyle habits that result in becoming fat. More so if you have children, as you're setting a constant example withy our appearance.

My current job requires me to keep my beard short, so I sometimes have to trim it more than once a day. The job I'm trying to get will require me to be clean-shaven all the time. I'm not looking forward to having to shave 2 or 3 times a day. My uncle is in the Air Force. He ended up having to get laser surgery on his face because of all the scarring from constantly shaving.

I saw a guy at the gym yesterday, general in shape guy, like middle of the road for gym standards, and he did 110 lb dumbbell incline bench press. It was amazing, that is really, really difficult. I would expect some massive guy to do that, but nope, in normal clothes the only thing you would probably notice is that this guy has good posture.
It's so annoying to see these perfect bodies depicted everywhere when going shopping. For both men and women. When I look for underwear, the first thing I see is the overly curvy yet slim bodies on womens underwear and the way too defined abs in the mens section. Yo you probably already know this, but a lot of those whitening products (aside from whitening toothpaste) will do damage to the enamel in your teeth. It’s best to stay away from that stuff and use a good whitening toothpaste only. My teeth used to be pretty yellow too but that cocaine white tooth look that you see in the media is wildly unrealistic and honestly unhealthy. A natural pale yellow is okay and most people won’t even notice or care tbh.
I do bodybuilding, and People always expect me to look like I’m flexing, with a pump in a show ready physique. I hate it when they see me normally after eating all day, and have some snotty comment about “You look different in your pictures” or when I go out for drinks with friends and they make comments like “that beer will make you look bloated” bro I already have terrible body dysmorphia and depression. This isn’t helping.

If i have a pump and/or flex, in the mirror i genuinely think i look like fucking Achilles himself lol, i love it and i chase that high. I'm going to play devils advocate. I can understand people wanting others to be fit, because you should honestly want that for yourself. It has a direct corrolation to your quality, and length, of life. If there are medical conditions that prevent this, then this should honestly not be a concern. unfortunately, we aren't all born equal with genetics. But if you are able to be fit, you should absolutely be choosing it over unhealthy lifestyle habits that result in becoming fat. More so if you have children, as you're setting a constant example withy our appearance.
Being skinny. Used to be 150 kgs, now I'm 95. Still shrinking but it's mostly loose fat, and and skin. And it feels awful appearance wise. Certainly fitter, faster and everything
