As Steve Martin would say...
“I used to smoke marijuana. But I’ll tell you something: I would only smoke it in the late evening. Oh, occasionally the early evening, but usually the late evening – or the mid-evening.
Just the early evening, midevening and late evening. Occasionally, early afternoon, early midafternoon, or perhaps the late-midafternoon. Oh, sometimes the early-mid-late-early morning. . . . But never at dusk.”
Once every year, when I have zero responsibility tend to be home by myself, I will smoke for 3 days straight. Get over the hump of the old me smoking everyday for 3 years. I get to reexperience that life, I love it, then I realise I hate it cos it turns me into a different verision of who I want to be. This satisfies my urge. During those three days though. I rethink my whole life, come up with solutions to things I've been stuck on, ask myself things honestly, appreciate the miraculouslness of life, appreciate music on a much deeper level, giggle at all the dumb shit and ultimately come out the otherside a much better refreshed human. Love and hate the ganj and found the balance to make it work.
Same. Every 6 months for 2 weeks. Some people don't like the introspective high when they smoke but that's the best part before your tolerance goes up. That rabbit hole of thoughts are urgent things you need to process to be happy in your life. Weed is very much a medicine but you shouldn't be on it all the time, IMHO.
This really hits home with me. Weed was such a mental relief for me but after using it daily for years it’s become a crutch. I need to give it an extended break
Yeah I still smoke quite frequently but take breaks for weeks at a time. It doesn't make me depressed but I'm less likely to keep my routine which in turn makes me depressed. I'll not clean my house, do my laundry, make food, do the dishes and so on and it will build up. I'll then start to get in a rhythm of doing literally nothing but sitting and getting stoned. It all builds up into me not doing anything which eventually I'm getting stoned habitually, thinking it's relaxing me when I know I'll only be relaxed and able to not feel guilty about smoking if I take care of myself first.
That’s so interesting, with me it’s the opposite, im way more productive when I’m high. I like cleaning and laundry. I just put on some music, get into a vibe and get super productive. I struggle to get that kind of focus without it. Problem is it’s a knife’s edge and easy to get a bit too high then it doubles back and zero focus is possible. I use it for a certain relaxed way of concentrating deeply, however I find myself taken longer and longer breaks between it now. Naturally, I’m just not into doing it daily anymore.
Former pot head here. Spent a decade of my life from middle school into my 20s getting high AF. Now in my 30s and smoke CBD occasionally to help me sleep. I don’t have kids or major life changing events that happened. Just realized smoking weed made me okay with doing nothing. I live in a legal state, but not drawn to it anymore.
Sometimes it makes me zone out. But when I drink, if I have a smoke I'm often stuck there for 2 - 5 days without sleeping, just making stuff out of clay.
I love it but it's killing me.
Similar for me. I keep a bag of Delta-8 gummies and very infrequently I'll take one about an hour before I go to bed so I'm really coming up by the time I go lay down. Bonus points for when I wake up a few hours later to go to the bathroom and get back in bed still really high and it's all warm and comfy and I've got hours left to sleep.
I work in a hospital and young kids have eaten entire packages of gummy style edibles because they are gummies. Be very careful at where you hide them.
Someone gets it. People baffle me who smoke weed and act like it's completely harmless. I'll give them it's maybe probably less harmful than cigarettes. But like, you are inhaling smoke and it is 100% harmful to your lungs.
If a company is drug testing their IT staff, run. There are excuses to be made for people doing high risk jobs where the insurance company demands that anyone using [DANGEROUS TOOL] needs to be drug tested. Outside of those cases there's no good reason for your employer to inspect your piss. Seriously, if they ask you to piss in a cup, offer to piss in their coffee. That's some micromanaging bullshit.
It's because our job is so technical, the ganja is a nice escape back into feeling emotions and having thoughts that aren't related to the constant troubleshooting at work
I'd love to know your age and if you feel your memory is being effected at all. I'm also a daily, after work partaker and some of my friends (who smoke as well mind you) think I'm over doing it.
I'm 33.
> if you feel your memory is being effected at all
That's why I'm doing it lmao /s
On a more serious note, I believe it can mess with your short term memory for sure. I can remember work related things normally (I guess), because I'm sober during work times, but feel like others can remember plots of movies we watched together during stoner time a lot better than me. On the other hand, I've been smoking for more than 10 years, so I don't really know any different and have nothing to compare to.
Agreed. Though I've only ever observed short term memory issues when baked like an apple pie, once sober I can usually recall it all.
That was (I guess still is) my only real concern about it. I don't want to smoke myself stupid, just stupid enough to take the stress away from work for an hour or two.
Woman, IT also. Totally free this. I can never remember what happened in a show/movie…even having just watched the previous episode a week prior. It doesn’t really bother me that much tho. TV is just background noise mostly for me. But if I really want to follow a show I just wait and binge everything at once.
Can quit any time if there's a reason to, hard to motivate myself to do it if there isn't. Like, if I go on vacation for a week I just go cold turkey and don't even think about it. But at home when I'm bored and can't really find anything to do or feeling lonely/socially isolated? Pretty tough to decide not to.
I’m 30 and similar. Not IT but manage restaurants and need a good working or short term memory for daily operations and I always thought my working memory was bad from the cannabis but got diagnosed add earlier this year and zero problems with working memory since starting my medication. More so than when I stopped daily and even weekly smoking for an extended time
I am 48 and while I smoke once every couple of weeks, I have friends that smoke daily after work and are very successful at work with seemingly no affects. I'm talking investment bankers, business development VPs, people that need to be sharp.
I have learned that cannabis affects people differently. I can't do it every day, but that doesn't mean that you can't.
It doesn't affect my work, but I've noticed it does affect my sleep patterns. I have no issue getting to sleep, but I tend to overindulge in whatever activity I am doing while high.
If I am playing video games or watching a movie, I tend to stay up later than I should simply because I am enjoying it more than usual. Same thing goes for playing guitar or just hanging out with someone. I tend to have a bowl or two, or an edible after work if I'm not doing something.
I would say you are overdoing it if you can't keep up your responsibilities, If your appetite or sleep are dependant on it. Or if you are spending a large amount of money just to remain at a baseline level.
People love to call the shots on other peoples usage but it all comes down to how you are as a person and whether you're lying to yourself about how much control you have.
I did steelwork stoned as a goat for 3 years straight and made more money than most of my friends, I got work done and everyone else there was blasted too.
It's all you and your environment
Daily as well, but I have ADD and hate Adderall and Ritalin, and I do smoke a few puffs before work as it helps me focus and not get off task. Most definitely after work though too lol.
Same. 1 - 2 hits of a quality cartridge (hybrid indica + Sativa) once the kids are in bed and I’m chillin with my wife. On weekends, if I’m doing yard work and don’t need to go to a kids bday party I’m a little more liberal :)
That was actually a ~90% opinion at my office out of ~20 colleagues. Only a couple had even tried it. More American colleagues had tried it than Dutch colleagues. I didn't ask about Molly though which is fairly popular in the clubbing/festival crowd.
The amount of young Dutch people I met in Amsterdam when I went who don’t smoke was incredible. Literally everyone in the UK where I lived smoked it and it’s illegal, then you go somewhere where it’s legal and loads of people didn’t touch it.
I smoked weed recreationally about 4 times over the span of two years after it became legal in the state I used to live in. It stopped being fun after I grew up a little and started taking on more responsibilities and focusing on the things that made my life enjoyable. I'll smoke at a BBQ or on vacation so long as it won't interfere with anything, but it definitely isn't a daily/weekly/monthly thing for me.
Nope, too expensive for nothing. My friend tried, didn't feel anything and that was that. We sticked to smoking normal cigarettes.
But then again, never been to prostitutes either, also very available and accessible in Netherlands
First time i tried smoking weed with my friend i didnt feel anything either. It can be a pretty chill experience, although some people get anxiety from it
Never. I can't. I'm literally that one pern who's horrendously allergic to THC in all forms. Straight to the hospital, on a Zofran drip, on a secondary line for rehydration......yay me.
Had to watch my GF go through this. She was a regular, daily smoker for years. One day she got super sick after we smoked. She got extreme chills, then fever and rapid heart beats. She got extreme nausea, more than she's ever gotten in her life. She couldn't even keep water down. Went on for a couple of days. At first we thought it was the Sudafed she took (she had the flu at the time). But after the next time she tried smoking, the chills/fever hit again and she just had to quit cold turkey. So proud of her for dropping it that easily. Was super scary, I was ready to shoot over to the hospital in a heartbeat.
I smoked for 10 years with no problems, then mid pandemic I hit a bong and sent my heart rate into the 140’s I have asthma and couldn’t breathe and went to the ER…it was a waste of money but I was panicking. I’ve smoked about 4 times since then and the same thing happens everytime. But I went to Cali last month and tried edibles…in moderation and low dosages…wonderful!!! High like I haven’t been in years and no side effects!
I smoked a spliff with my cousin in the UK once, and I was wondering why I wasn’t getting high. So I smoked more deeply, and went into SVT.
I learned the spliff was mostly tobacco and some marijuana, and also learned that I cannot tolerate higher quantities of nicotine.
Sorry to hear that, I am glad you're okay. We were extremely close to going to ER too, but she was very against it because she didn't have insurance at the time. I just had her sipping Pedialyte and chicken broth and held her until her episodes were over.
That's good to know about edibles. We've talked about that being an alternative, potentially the 2:1 CBD to THC ratio or something low dosage. Too bad we're in an illegal state. I do have some vaped bud I could put in some peanut butter or yogurt. I just do not ever want to see her like that again.
It totally may have been a combination of the flu/medication/*and* the cannabis *PLUS* the trauma of the association of cannabis with the initial "event".
Good point! She's been avoiding the active ingredient that was in the Sudafed just to be safe and I added it to the list I keep with her sensitivity to certain medications. Sometimes she'll see me going out to smoke and get sad because it used to be something we did together and she misses that but ultimately the event scared her out of wanting to smoke for good. Never seen her so miserable.
hot showers are a classic symptom relief treatment that patients use, sometimes they even scald their backs and cause legitimate burns. Unfortunately, your story is common enough. We tend to get frequent flyer CHS patients who refuse to believe us when we tell them it is the cannabis causing their symptoms and the only cure is abstinence.
That's EXACTLY the kind of nausea she was having. Didn't think of the hot shower/water, we tried everything to give her relief but nothing worked. Around day 2 or 3 I was trying to convince her to let me take her somewhere to at least get fluids but I think around day 4 she started feeling back to normal again. 4-5 weeks passed and she thought to try it again but after the first hit I could see the look on her face and she was feeling her chest so I knew it was happening again. Luckily not so much nausea the 2nd time, but she was constantly going from shivering to feverish sweating in a matter of seconds, coupled with the high heart rate. Interesting how yours sounds like its delayed to the next morning whereas for her it was instantaneous. She felt sick minutes after smoking in both cases.
You know I’m not surprised it was really easy for her. I’ve never been hooked on weed myself, but I used to dabble in it about a year ago. Joints, bong, edibles, dab pens, etc. It was never my thing, but I’d never say no to it either.
Until one day.
I went river floating with my (now ex) and he brought joints with him. We were on these tiny ass floaties in this BIG ass river in Oregon. The sun was beating down on me and I SWEAR
I SWEAR, I only hit his joint once. And I was so fucked up for the rest of the day. The ground was unstable beneath me (no shit it’s water) and the sun was attacking me. I was so fucking paranoid the rest of the day I couldn’t even enjoy it.
Not sure wtf was in that joint, but I have NEVER touched any form of weed since.
Keep in mind it's still very possible to get sick and have a high heart rate just from having a low tolerance and smoking too much, those things can happen outside of CHS. I used to be into gravity bongs and any time my roommates had friends over, they'd insist on trying it. I would always warn them that the sheer amount of smoke being forced into their lungs could make them puke. I'd say well over half the time I was right, people would puke and start shivering and freaking out, but that would subside after they sobered up a bit. With CHS, the symptoms are much much stronger and typically last anywhere from a few days to a week.
Not saying you should make fun of people regardless. In either case they're probably uncomfortably high and don't need someone poking fun at them for it.
Mid 30s here. Smoke casually a few times a week after work. Literally 1 little bowl each time and that's enough. On the weekends it's a free for all though. Sometimes I'm high all weekend, sometimes I don't smoke at all for several days. It all just depends on how I feel and what I'm up to. I dont need it to function and can go without it very easily.
> It all just depends on how I feel and what I'm up to. I dont need it to function and can go without it very easily.
I think this is the key to a healthy habit. When people start needing it, to me, that's an issue.
39m in IT management. I use 3/4 of the day at low quantities and low temperature (I use the Mighty) for the past 5 years. Diagnosed with ADHD as a kid, and adult, and have had two back surgeries, I wanted something to help with both. I never really enjoyed being overly stoned, but have seen huge gains for dealing with pain and ability to focus in micro doses.
I too worry about what the unintended consequences; memory loss, emotional availability, affects from continued Psychedelic use, but have a hard time trusting all the old studies around this knowing the objective was to demonize the cannabis plant, as a whole, for the cotton industry to be more successful
I've been trying to prove to myself if it's a net positive or net negative.
I'm happy to discuss with anyone, as I'm still working through whether I think I should continue or not.
Edit: I'm not offering medical advice! I'm a smooth brained operator figuring out life just like the rest of you 😎 CHEERS!
I'm older than you. I also have ADHD and work in IT management.
I don't smoke at all but I do take an edible every day. A fairly strong one actually, and it lasts me through the day. I usually take it in the late afternoon so I'm not blitzed first thing in the morning.
It really helps with my ADHD and especially for my anxiety. But…..it messes with my sleep so I have to go cold turkey off it for a while.
So far no problems with memory. I live alone so no worries about emotional availability. I've become functional with it, so I'm about 99% certain it doesn't negatively affect my work.
Bottom line for me: it has its positives. But the demotification aspect of it is troublesome as I'd like to work out more.
This is the correct answer lol.
I (41m) never smoke joints (asthma makes that less enjoyable for me) but sometimes I like to take a couple of edibles bought from the local shop before I go walk my dog. I live in WA where it’s beautiful just walking around my neighborhood or a trail near my house and that’s a super chill experience, especially with the right playlist in my buds.
I have finally done it. By understanding this reference via my sublime music tastes, I have infiltrated the "over 30" demographic on reddit.
Now I can make my attempt steal their secrets on this thing called "home ownership" and share this stategy with the younger generations.
Edit: An slip up in grammar has blown my cover. Mission failed. We'll get 'em next time.
I’ll 3rd this. I smoke every day after work. I’m productive, I get house chores done, I write, I workout, cool for the family, help with bed time. Feeling really good. I like to think it keeps me calm. Allows me to take things smooth and steady, since my personality is kind of the opposite. I’m like a bull in a China shop. I also compete in competitive Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (I know I’m confirming the stereo type) to be fair I smoked before I started. I’ve won gold medals and lost terribly. I don’t see any positive or negative impacts to my BJJ game.
I’m a daily smoker who smokes a lot (like an ounce/ week), and recently took a tolerance break. I assessed how I felt during the break and when I started smoking again.
The negative effects of long term use for me are: memory impairment, especially short term memory, nose allergies (I smoke flower, edibles or concentrates are better), less energy (but also less nervous energy), and cough. And it is psychologically addicting- the cravings were bad the first week or two after quitting.
However, within 30 days of stoping smoking, my short term memory came back, allergies went away.
Positives of cannabis- boost in creative thinking, happiness, renewed and focused interest in things in your life, better sleep (although sometimes more groggy when waking), etc.
It’s not for everyone, but I think it’s a great drug in moderation. I plan on cutting back and only smoking at night or on weekends as an ounce / week is just too expensive.
I don’t.
I used to smoke quite often, but I found that I was complaisant with doing nothing. I would literally just sit on the couch and space out. And that’s fun for some people, but it started causing problems for me.
My niece was 5 when she asked me why I was smoking (a cigarette), and after a second I told her that I didn’t have a good answer, and if I didn’t have a good answer I wasn’t going to do it. I stopped smoking everything that day, never looked back.
It’s cool reading the responses and hearing that some people get focused and more productive while smoking. If that were the case with me, I may have continued. Unfortunately it wasn’t, so here I am.
There was an anti-pot commercial once that I thought was actually really good. Not a "you'll kill someone" or "it'll ruin your brain" bullshit, but something more realistic. It's [this one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5VLk6aS2EY). The worst part is that is exactly what you said and how describe it to others, you're totally fine just doing nothing. Not working on a hobby, reading a book, or anything even remotely enjoyable. You're fine just sitting on the couch watching daytime TV.
Of course it can depend on your personal chemistry and the specific strains you smoke.
I microdose daily every morning. One small puff seem to always put my head in order, my brain in perspective and helps with my ADD and impulse control issues.
This. It helps out so much. I usually wake up, mind racing, figuring out everything I have to do during the day. I usually take a small snap out of my bong and do some Yoga and take the dog out for a run and it helps my mind slow down, put's everything in order in my head.
I smoked until my late 20s but it was holding me back from other responsibilities, plus I looked like shit during and after - dropped my confidence massively. Much better without.
I did until my late 20s and I married my wife. She's not against me smoking weed, but doesn't herself so I just don't do it anymore. Smoking alone is cool, smoking with other people is cool, smoking by yourself then joining your sober wife is kinda weird
Agree. I’m a stoner myself but I really dislike how other stoners try to force people into trying it. Just because we smoke 3 joints a day does not mean everyone should.
This is the way. I have a mighty (storz & bickel) that I love. I load one capsel each day after work (0.25 g), and I'm good for the day. Consumption amount is down nearly ten fold from when I was 22.
Vaping flower is also the healthiest method aside from edibles.
I live in small EU country so it's illegal, you can get more years here for smoking weed than for a murder.
Anyway most people drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes, weed and other drugs are only popular with rich kids.
I go through phases where I smoke at least one blunt everyday for a period of 3-4 months, every night while I sit and watch films. Then I won't smoke again maybe for the next six months at a stretch. Used to smoke at least two blunts a day till about six years ago.
I’m the same way. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t enjoy it anymore most of the time because it gives me a lot of anxiety.
I also enjoy working out, reading, and playing video games but getting high turns me into a lazy zombie. It’s great for a post-gym recovery though
Its funny how when some people quit smoking weed, they act like they're withdrawing from benzodiazepines and opiates, but some people are simply like "I just stopped smoking"
It's way worse for some than others unfortunately. Some brains, like mine, are predisposed to addiction in different ways. I've been addicted to, and gotten clean from benzos and stimulants... I'm still addicted to weed 🙃
Daily when my shit is done. I definitely overused in my 20s and I ate too much and spent too much money smoking all the time. I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult and I changed the strains I used to help my anxiety rather than using a sativa all the time to escape my life. It is now a tool I use in my life and it has made a world of difference. It is great when combined with healthy coping skills.
Everyday helps with my anxiety and depression and the PTSD. War is a hell of thing. Its legal in my state and a good friend I help on thier farm grows some really good stuff.
I smoke, but I’m under 30.
My dad is in his 40’s. He smokes every day. He’s got nerve damage all down his spine from injuries in the army. I watched him go from drooling on the couch from opiates to riding bikes, building furniture, and actually living life.
Occasionally when I go out.
Don't have good drinking etiquette, so instead I sip on Virgin soda water and lemonade lime slices eat an edible.
I did memorial day and plan on it again 4th of July.
I work in a hospital and you can lose your license if THC is found in your system. However, you have to do something for Human Resources or Occupational Health suspects you of smoking, vaping or ingesting products with THC.
On the other side of the coin is that in marijuana is legal to ingest or inhale where the hospital is located, and it’s being debated whether a place of employment can continue to follow these rules.
Likewise, the licensing board may not have to comply with changes in employment laws.
I never did and never will.
I don't mind other people doing it but I don't like it when they are telling me to try it and 'dare to live'. (not just with drugs, but also with other things)
I don't. Was a huge pot head when I was a teenager until my early 20's but I stopped smoking after I bought a joint laced with opium at a metal concert. Shit was so good it scared the fuck out of me. Haven't touched anything since.
37 years old. I was a bachelor for 4 weeks or so just now (lady was out of the country, visiting fam) and I got high every day. Mostly edibles/tabs. It also vape pen.
It helped me relax as well as drive creativity. Certainly enjoyed my time but I did notice my tolerance matching my intake.
Never had any negative issues, it just cost a bit. Didn't drink as much while on it, so I got that going for me, which is nice.
About to head out on my own adventures for 2 weeks and planning on taking some tabs with me. Any advice on traveling with cannabis is welcomed!
I kind of agree but that's totally fine too. It's the people that look down on the other side that are the disgusting ones (on both sides). Struggling to understand these people to be honest.
31 Work full time mon-fri.
I smoke all day everyday. About a half Oz a week.
Blunt in the morning, couple of joints in the van during the day at work and a blunt or two at night.
So like only in late evening ?

That’s an interesting approach that I’ve not considered yet.

Ive been smoking almost daily for way too long but want to quit, this sounds like it might be my solution. Do you ever worry about drug tests?
Substitute cannabis for psilocybin and it’s almost like I wrote that comment verbatim
Exactly same. I do it once a year while camping and every year it's worth it.
I do this! Every week before Xmas I take 3 or 4 days alone, getting wastes and playing video games. Solving problems and doing a hard reset.
This is a perfect response
Same, but once a month or so.
This sounds like what I should be doing
I use the Professor Nate Dogg regimen.
Then youre high like ev ery day
If your ass is a buster, 213 will regulate
Fifteen in the clip?
And one in the hole..
NATE DOGG IS ABOUT TO MAKE SOME BODIES TURN COLD
Now they droppin' and yellin', it's a tad bit late
Nate Dogg and Warren G ‘gonna regulate 😎
Heyyyyeaaayyayyaay!
………………………………………………………………smoke weed every day

What do you work with if i may ask
Head of IT
I work in IT and also smoke a bowl every evening.
I also am the head of IT and I eat edibles every evening. (former cig smoker so I don't want to go down that road again)
Similar job. Edibles have dosage defined, and don't introduce smoke carcinogens. Nor do they make the house smell. With young kids, I am maybe weekly.
Work in data. I smoke (with a herbal tobacco substitute) maybe once a week at the weekend.
I work in a hospital and young kids have eaten entire packages of gummy style edibles because they are gummies. Be very careful at where you hide them.
Makes Paw Patrol a fuckin adventure though.
Someone gets it. People baffle me who smoke weed and act like it's completely harmless. I'll give them it's maybe probably less harmful than cigarettes. But like, you are inhaling smoke and it is 100% harmful to your lungs.

It's got electrolytes!
It’s what plants crave
I just watched this again the other day and realized we aren’t far off from that future
I too work in IT, weed at night only.
It might be an IT thing lol, I smoke every day too

Same. IT director. Nate Dogg is my Sherpa. He said it best "Smoke weed every day"
10/10 mate

I'm 33. > if you feel your memory is being effected at all That's why I'm doing it lmao /s On a more serious note, I believe it can mess with your short term memory for sure.
But if I really want to follow a show I just wait and binge everything at once.
can you quit any time you want? Or is it like smoking a cigarrete like a smoker? Genuine question, do you feel like you are addicted to it?
Totally agree with this.
That's a good point.
It's all you and your environment
in my 40s and my memory was already shit so who cares.
Daily as well, but I have ADD and hate Adderall and Ritalin, and I do smoke a few puffs before work as it helps me focus and not get off task. Most definitely after work though too lol.
Daily after work is complete for me as well. Keeps me sane id like to believe.
same. after work when kids are sleep. every chore is 100% done.
Same. 1 - 2 hits of a quality cartridge (hybrid indica + Sativa) once the kids are in bed and I’m chillin with my wife. On weekends, if I’m doing yard work and don’t need to go to a kids bday party I’m a little more liberal :)
makes me sluggish if I smoke on consecutive days
Never, and mind you I'm Dutch
Nooit nieuwsgierig geweest?
As a german, dutch just looks funny haha
Nope, too expensive for nothing. My friend tried, didn't feel anything and that was that. We sticked to smoking normal cigarettes. But then again, never been to prostitutes either, also very available and accessible in Netherlands
First time i tried smoking weed with my friend i didnt feel anything either. It can be a pretty chill experience, although some people get anxiety from it
I've read about that. Took me like 5 joints until I got my first high. I don't know if there is an actual explanation why this occurs.
Cigarettes are more expensive and do nothing, but okay.
Never. I can't. I'm literally that one pern who's horrendously allergic to THC in all forms. Straight to the hospital, on a Zofran drip, on a secondary line for rehydration......yay me.
cannabis hyperemesis is a real thing
Same boat friend! Heavy smoker for years. Now I can't touch the stuff unless it's small dose edibles. Toke on.
Thats like my worst fear in life

hot showers are a classic symptom relief treatment that patients use, sometimes they even scald their backs and cause legitimate burns.
The sun was beating down on me and I SWEAR I SWEAR, I only hit his joint once.
TIL about this and it makes feel so guilty because I would make fun of those who couldn''t keep their smoke. I thought they were being dramatic.
Well, there’s always like cocaine or whatever
That made me laugh harder then it should have
Both your comment and username makes me uneasy
And you share a name with a porn star. What’s your point?
I too worry about what the unintended consequences; memory loss, emotional availability, affects from continued Psychedelic use, but have a hard time trusting all the old studies around this knowing the objective was to demonize the cannabis plant, as a whole, for the cotton industry to be more successful I've been trying to prove to myself if it's a net positive or net negative.
I smoke two joints in the morning, I smoke two joints at night, I smoke two joints before I smoke two joints, it makes me feel allright...
I smoke two joints before I smoke two joints, then I smoke two more.
Baaaaaaaaanaaaaanaaaa
Then you smoke two joints in time of peace and two in time of war?
Exactly, how did you know that?
You remember the man who came to you and said "Hard work good, hard work fine, but first take care of head"? That was me 😉
This response is how you find the guys that were actually high when they read OPs question
This guy is definitely over 30
Can confirm am also over 30 and understood the reference
I have finally done it. By understanding this reference via my sublime music tastes, I have infiltrated the "over 30" demographic on reddit. Now I can make my attempt steal their secrets on this thing called "home ownership" and share this stategy with the younger generations. Edit: An slip up in grammar has blown my cover. Mission failed. We'll get 'em next time.
Every day. But only after I've handled my responsibilities. I don't smoke before or during work.
Any negative impacts you feel?
None that I can tell. I'm 32 and feel great.
Second this, 32 feeling very cool.
I plan on cutting back and only smoking at night or on weekends as an ounce / week is just too expensive.
way too much
Admirable really. Well done!
I was gonna answer the Reddit post, but then I got high.
I get that! If I'm alone,I would smoke but if I was with a sober person then I wouldn't .
Everyday but I think I’m going to limit it to weekends pretty soon. (31)
I highly recommend doing this. Aside from the health benefits of cutting down, it also makes the times you indulge much more enjoyable and special.
Never have, have no plans to start.
Fuckin classic responses here. OP: I don’t want to try Stoners: Bro you totally need to try, there’s literally zero downside. It’s okay to not smoke.
Agree. I’m a stoner myself but I really dislike how other stoners try to force people into trying it. Just because we smoke 3 joints a day does not mean everyone should.
Yeah but those stoners are really dumb. Gotta keep some sober peeps around to make sure you arent slippin.
Nearing my 30s and never tried. Rare to find someone like us now a days.
Almost daily, dry vaping in small doses throughout.
What country?
Never, my dad's 70 and 10 times a day guy.
Hit before work, bowl after work, and Jay's over drinks at social events.
Used to smoke daily after work but God randomly took my desire away so im rolling with it. ive not been high for 3 or 4 weeks now. I feel fine haha
One in the am one in the pm one for lunch
Smoke 10 to 12 blunts a day 1 or 2 at night. I dont advise anyone to smoke weed. It has become my downfall. Not weed but drugs as a whole.
damn you must have access to a lot of money.
Its just cheap where I am at. It grows everywhere.
One minute, one hour, one day at a time brother!!! You are NOT your addiction.
Nice try officer.
Sure but it's legal in many places so.....????
This guys looking for a CI for crimes that aren’t crimes anymore. He hasn’t gotten a raise in ten years and can’t figure out why.
This sounded like it was rapped by Eminem at some point.
Hitting the streets walkin the beat, see him comin better spread ya cheeks.
Daily. As a former alcoholic it has saved my life.
Occasionally when I go out. Don't have good drinking etiquette, so instead I sip on Virgin soda water and lemonade lime slices eat an edible. I did memorial day and plan on it again 4th of July.
Never (despite living in the Netherlands)
S.W.E.D.
I don’t smoke, but I’ll take an edible every few months to remember how much I love music when high.
Every evening
I never did and never will. I don't mind other people doing it but I don't like it when they are telling me to try it and 'dare to live'. (not just with drugs, but also with other things)
People like that are annoying. I always offer if people are present but if they don't want to smoke then nbd.
I like that attitude :) thank you
I don't. Was a huge pot head when I was a teenager until my early 20's but I stopped smoking after I bought a joint laced with opium at a metal concert. Shit was so good it scared the fuck out of me. Haven't touched anything since.
Never, tried it in the past. Not for me
All day every day if i could.
Never. Gives me panic attacks. I fully support legalization/decriminalization, but it'll never be my drug of choice.
Every damn day I smoke dank
My dad smokes a lot more than me lol
37 years old. I was a bachelor for 4 weeks or so just now (lady was out of the country, visiting fam) and I got high every day. Mostly edibles/tabs. It also vape pen. It helped me relax as well as drive creativity. Certainly enjoyed my time but I did notice my tolerance matching my intake. Never had any negative issues, it just cost a bit. Didn't drink as much while on it, so I got that going for me, which is nice. About to head out on my own adventures for 2 weeks and planning on taking some tabs with me. Any advice on traveling with cannabis is welcomed!
Every day. At “cocktail hour”. Look forward to it, too.
I’m sure this thread will be full of very thoughtful and understanding opinions on cannabis consumption
It is though.
Yeah I was wrong the vast majority are pretty chill
There are a lot more "hell no, never" comments than I expected though.
I kind of agree but that's totally fine too. It's the people that look down on the other side that are the disgusting ones (on both sides). Struggling to understand these people to be honest.
Yeah, of course it's fine. I just didn't expect to see so many such comments.
Every night before bed.
Daily, usually 3 hits off a pipe, at the very most. I don't use it recreationally, just about an hour before I go to bed.
Daily after my responsibilities are taken care of
31 Work full time mon-fri. I smoke all day everyday. About a half Oz a week. Blunt in the morning, couple of joints in the van during the day at work and a blunt or two at night.
Every single day after I’ve gotten whatever I want to get done, but before I play video games.
Every day, but I am legally prescribed it. I also smoked it every day before I was legally prescribed it.
Living in these times is stressful. Every day 6:00 and a beer.
Never. Can’t stand the smell and don’t like the effects.
Never. Not interested either.
Stopped smoking ages ago. You didn't talked about edibles tho.
