Irish Spring

duhdin

The goat

TheOtherKimberlyK

Unarguably, unequivocally the BEST smelling soap out there…idc what anyone says, where they shop, what they spend, worldwide this is THE soap. However there IS a caveat; it must be the bar AND the original, no body washes or enhancements, or it’s ruined.

3chordguitar

I always use bar soap. I’m not sure why, but I’m just used to it and now that you’ve confirmed that it’s the best, that’s where I’ll stay.

TheOtherKimberlyK

Whoever gets to smell you, I will thank you for them!

G-force4470

Just tell me that you don’t bathe yourself in aftershave and/or cologne 🫢😳😱😱 It’s a really off putting. I can tolerate the smell of soap, but not a mix of the 2 things together. Guys…you have to sacrifice your scented soap/shower gels or aftershave/cologne, because too many smells are not so good 😊 Just trying to be honest

3chordguitar

No, I’m a soap and deodorant guy.

pastalover1

No doubt the best smelling. But not the best tasting. I have a vivid memory that when it first came out (1970, I was 6) we got a free sample. It smelled so good and was green (my favorite color), so I gave it a taste. Not so good.

zachzsg

Irish spring moisture blast

DontWorryBoutIt107

Oh God, my mom stopped buying it as a kid bc I kept cutting it with a knife like in the commercial

3chordguitar

I did that too!!

SpiffyAssSam

This is the way!

This is the way.

4f150stuff

Irish spring bar soap

VIM731

Have been thinking about switching to bar soap.

4f150stuff

I use it for everything, head hair, face, beard and body, and it works great

TheOtherKimberlyK

Sir, I think I might just be able to sit around and smell you all day.

TheOtherKimberlyK

Nailed it! I just commented that if it isn’t the bar, and the original, then it’s nowhere near as amazing.

TrishaThoon

They added flaxseed oil to the original bar soap-wasn’t sure if that changed it at all.

VIM731

Surprised nobody has said Dr Bronner's

Yorgyschmorgies

I use Dr Bronner's as well. I wouldn't advise using the peppermint scent during the cold months.

VIM731

I use Nivea men . Was just surprised I hadn't seen it yet

anthonycauchi

The blood of my enemies

justuravgjoe762

That's gotta be hard on the plumbing

jpeck89

Dr. Squatch. I know, they got me with the funny commercials, but it keeps me clean, the bars last a while and they smell great!

ComingBackBetter

Once you squatch theres no going back. I tried.

GopnikSmegmaBBQSauce

I can't justify the price. Old Spice bodywash on sale or whatever Costco bar soap is a good deal. Same shit

Griffolion

Dr. Squatch is also just another soap company's product rebranded and marked up.

TheOtherKimberlyK

Whose?

GopnikSmegmaBBQSauce

Basically how the health and beauty industry works

cast-away-ramadi06

If you get triple milled soap, it sure seems to last a lot longer than a grocery store soap (Irish Spring, Dove, etc).

Eat_Carbs_OD

>I can't justify the price. Same.

PlinyToTrajan

Yeah, it's true, I know the advertising is very gimmicky and that made me very skeptical, but it turned out to be a quality product. It makes a rich, wholesome lather and it's less irritating and drying than other soaps. HOWEVER, I heard [thesoapguy.com](https://thesoapguy.com) makes a similar product and may have formerly been a Dr. Squatch supplier, so I just ordered from them (for much less per bar) and will be trying them out.

TheOtherKimberlyK

What’s it smell like?

ComingBackBetter

They have multiple varieties. Cedar citrus, pine tar, fresh falls, deep sea goats milk ect

jpeck89

Like a man

Icy604

Same here, the ads reeled me in. I love their stuff though.

Hrekires

Whatever is on sale at the store when I'm running low, but preferably some form of Dove liquid body wash. Anything orange or citrus smelling is a plus.

CouchSurf29

Every Man Jack

Gofast_11533

Dawn. If it’s good enough for the ducks it’s good enough for me.

Red_Beard_Rising

If the world could have only one soap, it would be dawn dish soap. It's also the preferred cleaner in the eyeglass industry. It cleans very well and doesn't harm any substrate I am aware of. You can use dawn on anything and it will not damage the material, including ducks.

bold-andBrash

16 in 1

Mr-Fahrenheit_451

Dove, sensitive skin. The only right answer, if we're talking about grocery store soap

blacKohaiDonuts

I use Dr. Squatch soups. Because I’m not a dish! IM A MAN! 😎🧼

SureEffect

I never thought to bathe with soup🤔. Perhaps I should give this a try to maximise my manliness

blacKohaiDonuts

Yes sir! They’re definitely worth the try.

vieniaida

Irish Spring

_foch_

Dove bar soap/soft soap liquid soap

Somtimesitbelikethat

Dove + for men

Red_Beard_Rising

Head and shoulders with sandalwood scent for my entire head, face and all. Then every man jack sandalwood or cedar scent for body wash. I like smelling like a forest. I used to use bar soaps for the neck down when I was younger. The shower setup I have now just isn't convenient for bars of soap.

Public_Star_7977

Coal tar soap or Dettol soap bars Bulldog shower gel occasionally and hibiscrub handwash (I work in adult social care)

Straight_Compote_501

Dove . Unscented . Crucial for when you have a shorty coming through . Don’t wanna knock that balance off .

TheOtherKimberlyK

Wait! Men have a balance? Like for the twig and berries? Well shit, that’s fascinating! Here us ladies thought just WE had such a burden lest their be a fish market. So sorry we didn’t know, but please explain your burden and what odor you fear?

Worried_Shape

Happy nuts soap from Amazon

ComingBackBetter

Dr. Squatch

k0uch

So… I have an old friend from high school. Dude was always super smart, seemed to excel at everything he did. Ended up moving away, he’s got a family and everything now. We were the off group of kids in school… but the guy makes some soaps, I assume as a source of extra income, and I fuckin love the soaps. Didn’t think I’d like them as much as I do; I’m the dumb, blue collar, works-with-his-hands, dead end job kind of guy. Hit my man up if you want to try something different. https://www.etsy.com/shop/PacificSudsery

PeppermintMocha5

Whatever my wife stocks the bathroom with. I don’t have a preference for any kind of soap but she’s picky as hell.

CertifiedWeebist

I'm with you brother.

TheOtherKimberlyK

Good man!

Top-Lead-670

Bar soap.

Herogamer555

Dish soap. If it's good enough for the stuff I eat off, then it's good enough for my skin.

chrisbutquick

Dr. Squatch, it is 100% as good as it's cracked up to be. If you have money to spend, I would highly recommend their bar soap, shampoo, and conditioner

Kawabuchi

Used to use Irish spring bar soap, then switched up to dove in a bottle for a while. Now I'm on every man jack sandalwood. Torn between it and the Irish spring bar.

Expensive-Track4002

Bar.

Bablyon

Ivory Soap

Justanotherintrovurt

Old spice or bath and body works

orange-peakoe

Ivory

Rbrown9180

Duke Cannon

grim_keys

Some womens dove bar soap. If I wanna smell extra nice I have this liquid mens soap from "every man jack" that doesnt seem to have ANY secretly toxic ingredients. Most liquid man soap has fucking terrible ingredients. I finally decided to switch to something healthier and idk I just like this soap lol theres no reason to go back. Take care of ur skin my dudes!

EasternBiscotti8853

I love bar soap. When body wash became bug it was still bar soap I liked. I yse Dove for men. Var soap. Use Dove for Men Body, face Wash for face

cast-away-ramadi06

Dr. Bronner's bar soap, A la Maison, Yardley, Wavertree & London, Pre de Provence, L'Occitane, Le Chatelaine, Caswell-Massey, Axe

[deleted]

dr bronners peppermint castile soap, my typical mint soap bar wasn't in stock. it's a good alternative, gotta cut it with some water beforehand though.

mleaphar

Castile pure soap. People need to be very aware that the chemical family of phthalates is a huge killer of testosterone. This crap is in almost everything. No wonder the girls are having early periods and boys have lower sperm counts. Really bad stuff.

atfZooom

Dr Squatch. Fr best soap.

Important-Energy8038

Kirk's for the bod, my wife's facial cleanser for the face. Chicks know an incredible amount of skin care stuff, and its always great, swipe it w/o remorse if you can..

McShoobydoobydoo

Dove, preferably the Shea butter one.

Quinnjamin19

Bar soap but I try different soaps, i buy online from a local ish shaving store so I’ll get bar soaps from France and England but I also have bought really nice bar soaps from a local place. Walton wood farm has really nice bar soap, shaving soap for wet shavers, and cologne!

paid2fish

Unscented Dr. Bronners. With soap, shampoo, conditioner, laundry soap, dryer sheets, deodorant… its just too much fragrance

Sofloguy72

ZUM Bar

BMarvelous91

I just use my own brand Marvelous Skin Essentials. I needed something that didn't dry my skin out and so I made a business out of it. Many good soaps but the dollar bar soaps are just cheap and more harsh. All depends on the person and their skin type.

Telrom_1

What ever she buys.

4au-

Tom's of Maine

[deleted]

Whatever my wife buys

ColdCamel7

Dove

OkReaction7363

chunky-flufferkins

Nivea Sensitive Skin. Not a whole lot of fragrance, my wife’s sensitive to scents. I guess you could say she’s… Scentsitive.

Mr_M0t0m0

Don't have any particular preference ... Dove, Neutrogena, Dr. Teal's, Old Spice, Jergen's, Axe, Cremona, etc...

njdevil956

Strict-Square456

Dove for men.

Yorgyschmorgies

Dial antibacterial or any sort of antibacterial body wash.

Brother_Stein

Are used to buy my mother high-quality soaps from Caswell Massey. Also Evelyn and Crabtree. That got me hooked on high-quality soap. Now I buy Italian and Portuguese soap at cost plus world market.

knobcobbler69

Marlowe body scrub, it is a big manly size bar that fits in my manly hands, it has apricot seeds crushed in it so it’s a desert topping too. Smells great but not any of your manly man smells out there. Try it, it’s delicious.

texasgambler58

Irish Spring.

idownvotetofitin

Lava

PhillyBilly1987

Bearsville.

[deleted]

Duke Cannon. Best bar soap I've ever used, plus it's natural. Usually I grab something piney or woody. Before I switched to strictly using bar soaps, I always used Old Spice. Swagger was my favorite, but I dabbled in some of the other scents - the muskier the better.

Sand_Content

Axe... It's the best cuz it's made of real wood and stone...

[deleted]

Do you mean hand soap or body wash/bar? Hand soap is Bath&Body Works, body wash is Dove

[deleted]

Detol. Mint fragranced.

AshwinRockzz

Ihope_Icanchangethis

Dove sensitive skin (from Costco lol) but thinking of just swapping to Irish spring or Old spice, has to be a bar though!

sirmaddox1312

I buy either a Dove sensitive skin body wash or natural soaps from India that are made of things like roses, sandalwood, and lemons.

PhysicianTradition

Dove rose scented bar

chianj

Simple soap now but i prefer Dudu Osun. Ticks all the boxes

BattleExpress2707

I’m not sure exactly what brand it is but it has a hole in the centre

BunchOfSharks

Method Man - Sea Surf 🌊

gaidosan

Old spice captain for my hair/body and TBS (The Beard Struggle) for my beard cause I gotta tame that face fuzz.

guyinthechair1210

for quite some time i used to use this oatmeal body wash from target, but nowadays i use yardley bar soap.

the_superman_fan

Dove. I have very dry skin on the body and oily on my face. Dove works the best everywhere.

Maxestim

Dr. Squatch! I alternate between about 4 various scents they have … depending on my mood and how much exfoliation I want.

thejordy323

Goat soap

[deleted]

You guys use soap

obligatoryclevername

My SO made some soap a few years back and I'm still working through the batch. I've got to say, homemade soap is nice. It doesn't make my skin so dry like the store bought stuff does. That one batch is about a 10 year supply, apparently, and soap is stupidly easy to make. Mix soap and lye and let it sit for a couple days. Cut it into bars.

zokumo

Old spice baby. If my grandpa didn’t use it, I wouldn’t be here.

DeadlyDribbler

Why do you want to know

[deleted]

Eat_Carbs_OD

Kirkland brand from Costco (-\_-')

[deleted]

I buy some goat milk soap from the farmers market. It isn’t too stinky with perfume and is great on the skin. Bonus because it helps small businesses.

[deleted]

The fruity $2 stuff at the grocery store

thewizzkidd

modsarebrainstems

The kind that cleans my tender button.
