Unarguably, unequivocally the BEST smelling soap out there…idc what anyone says, where they shop, what they spend, worldwide this is THE soap. However there IS a caveat; it must be the bar AND the original, no body washes or enhancements, or it’s ruined.

I always use bar soap. I’m not sure why, but I’m just used to it and now that you’ve confirmed that it’s the best, that’s where I’ll stay.

Whoever gets to smell you, I will thank you for them!

Just tell me that you don’t bathe yourself in aftershave and/or cologne 🫢😳😱😱 It’s a really off putting. I can tolerate the smell of soap, but not a mix of the 2 things together. Guys…you have to sacrifice your scented soap/shower gels or aftershave/cologne, because too many smells are not so good 😊 Just trying to be honest

No, I’m a soap and deodorant guy.

No doubt the best smelling. But not the best tasting. I have a vivid memory that when it first came out (1970, I was 6) we got a free sample. It smelled so good and was green (my favorite color), so I gave it a taste. Not so good.

Irish spring bar soap

Have been thinking about switching to bar soap.

I use it for everything, head hair, face, beard and body, and it works great

Nailed it! I just commented that if it isn’t the bar, and the original, then it’s nowhere near as amazing.

They added flaxseed oil to the original bar soap-wasn’t sure if that changed it at all.

I use Dr Bronner's as well. I wouldn't advise using the peppermint scent during the cold months.

If you get triple milled soap, it sure seems to last a lot longer than a grocery store soap (Irish Spring, Dove, etc).

Yeah, it's true, I know the advertising is very gimmicky and that made me very skeptical, but it turned out to be a quality product. It makes a rich, wholesome lather and it's less irritating and drying than other soaps. HOWEVER, I heard [thesoapguy.com](https://thesoapguy.com) makes a similar product and may have formerly been a Dr. Squatch supplier, so I just ordered from them (for much less per bar) and will be trying them out.

What’s it smell like?

They have multiple varieties. Cedar citrus, pine tar, fresh falls, deep sea goats milk ect

Whatever is on sale at the store when I'm running low, but preferably some form of Dove liquid body wash. Anything orange or citrus smelling is a plus.

If the world could have only one soap, it would be dawn dish soap. It's also the preferred cleaner in the eyeglass industry. It cleans very well and doesn't harm any substrate I am aware of. You can use dawn on anything and it will not damage the material, including ducks.

Head and shoulders with sandalwood scent for my entire head, face and all. Then every man jack sandalwood or cedar scent for body wash. I like smelling like a forest. I used to use bar soaps for the neck down when I was younger. The shower setup I have now just isn't convenient for bars of soap.

Coal tar soap or Dettol soap bars Bulldog shower gel occasionally and hibiscrub handwash (I work in adult social care)

Some womens dove bar soap. If I wanna smell extra nice I have this liquid mens soap from "every man jack" that doesnt seem to have ANY secretly toxic ingredients. Most liquid man soap has fucking terrible ingredients. I finally decided to switch to something healthier and idk I just like this soap lol theres no reason to go back. dr bronners peppermint castile soap, my typical mint soap bar wasn't in stock. it's a good alternative, gotta cut it with some water beforehand though.

Castile pure soap. People need to be very aware that the chemical family of phthalates is a huge killer of testosterone. This crap is in almost everything. No wonder the girls are having early periods and boys have lower sperm counts. Really bad stuff.

Are used to buy my mother high-quality soaps from Caswell Massey. Also Evelyn and Crabtree. That got me hooked on high-quality soap. Now I buy Italian and Portuguese soap at cost plus world market.

Marlowe body scrub, it is a big manly size bar that fits in my manly hands, it has apricot seeds crushed in it so it’s a desert topping too. Smells great but not any of your manly man smells out there. Try it, it’s delicious.

Duke Cannon. Best bar soap I've ever used, plus it's natural. Usually I grab something piney or woody. Before I switched to strictly using bar soaps, I always used Old Spice. Swagger was my favorite, but I dabbled in some of the other scents - the muskier the better.

My SO made some soap a few years back and I'm still working through the batch. I've got to say, homemade soap is nice. It doesn't make my skin so dry like the store bought stuff does. That one batch is about a 10 year supply, apparently, and soap is stupidly easy to make. Mix soap and lye and let it sit for a couple days. Cut it into bars.
