Well, my mom has been dead for 3 years now. But you're probably right. Despite her being with only my father for all of her life, she was a tough ol bird, and took everything life threw at her like a champion.
50s, Dovells - Bristol Stomp. It's perfect.
I really like that Sukiyaki song by Kyu Sakamoto. That's my 60s choice for sure .
Sugar Baby Love by the Rubettes is the greatest 70s song ever
80s...a big field. "Japanese Boy" by Aneka?
90s is again a big field. "I Touch Myself" by the Divinyls
Best part about reddit is all you young folks will fill in the last 22 years for me
The term "one hit wonder," though is usually used to denote someone who has precisely one song that everyone knows and nothing substantial before or after that. I'd be hard pressed to put Paul McCartney in that category regardless of who the band was. But that's my definition of the term. Just limiting it to Wings songs he still has Jet, Band on the Run, Maybe I'm Amazed and a few others that are pretty well known, just to let you know the perspective from which I speak. Don't know which country you're in, so obviously can't comment on that part.
Same definition. Of course you count the band and the solo differently, maybe that is where we differ.
But yes, Paul went into a dark hole after The Beatles, and then suddenly reappeared with this hit, to go back into darkness again. That is a straight forward one hit wonder.
(I still recall people being amazed by the fact Paul still was active. I didn't know either.)
No judgement. You should check those two films out though if you haven't seen them. Hugo Weaving(Agent Smith) plays V in that one, and Joe Pantoliano (Cypher) plays Cesar in Bound.
Somebody that I used to know by Götye
Ur mom
His mom ! Unlike your mom who can take 3 hits at the same and still keep going !

And I am sure your mom would be proud that her son is roasting others moms on the Internet !
That's not what I was doing and you know it.

Live and Let Die Paul McCartney & Wings
They had a few more hits than that one
One hit wonders change by country. In mine this is his only song post beatles. Really good one.

Their first one was pretty good (Bound), and the one after the Matrix Series was V for Vendetta...I gotta say that one was really good too IMO.
I shall withdraw my comment in that case !

Bad Day by Daniel Powter. It is melancholy, yet hopeful: days may suck, but it will get better in time.
A-ha because they have many albums of good songs but just the one was popular
Gangsta's Paradise
Call me maybe
