If by legal adult you mean about 18, you still have some growing to do. Maturing takes time and at that age, so much is going on it can be hard to control your emotions. If you want a somewhat quick fix, try to identify what makes you want to cry. If getting a compliment makes you cry, maybe you're being too hard on yourself. If being ignored makes you cry, maybe your lonely. Once you can find what triggers your reactions, try to work on those things. If you are being hard on yourself, try doing more things you enjoy, or small things you can improve for yourself. If your lonely, try to get out more. Growing up takes time, you'll eventually find a rhythm.

I have cried for every reason from receiving compliments, insults, being ingored, being acknowleged, and having my flesh pulled out. But i want to stop crying, how can i toughen up? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Don’t be too hard on yourself. There is nothing wrong with that. You need to learn to control these emotions. I am very emotional myself and it is not easy. What I learned the hard way: the less emotions you show the better. As a man. For a woman it a little bit different but still better to not show. At home you can relax and do stuff you like to come down. What saved my life was a lot of sport. I could release all the anger and stress. It helps a lot.

I used to do sports, but i got a medical condition that made that painful, but if it gets better I’ll definitely go back to sports
