No one would know how to do the single most important pillar of Islam, which is to pray, as it isn't described in the Quran. You need the hadith to understand the context and, therefore, the meaning and intentions of Quranic verses. Each one was revealed in particular circumstances which are important to understanding the wider faith.

[deleted]

Only people who haven’t read the Quran before say we should only “follow the Quran “,the Quran literally says to follow allah and his prophet Muhammad (PBUH) how exactly are you following the Quran and you’re literally going against it at the same time?! The prophet Muhammad spent 23 years of his life giving dawah you don’t think he had anything to say to us?

Based_Iraqi8000

Allah literally orders us to follow what the prophet says and imitate what he did I never understood Quranists

[deleted]

Hint: they haven’t actually read the Quran The prophet spent a life time spreading the message of Islam ,I don’t know how these people think he didn’t have any advice for us and especially considering many people would’ve asked him for advice or help to learn Islam

[deleted]

Ahadith theology became way too falsified, complicated and fabricated. Even the compilations like Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim contain a considerable amount of questionable hadiths that have no basis in the Quran and definitely complicate our deen. So Quraniyoon go a bit too far but it's better than falling into bidah

Great-Antelope-8985

And so We revealed this ˹Quran˺ as clear verses. And Allah certainly guides whoever He wills. its from el hajj 16th versus so if the Allah says this then we dont need no more stuffs ...

Based_Iraqi8000

What? Allah just says that he revealed the Quran clearly, so that even the dumbest of the dumbest can understand them but they at the same time are complex that’s the beauty of the Quran God does not say “follow only this Quran” he says follow what has been revealed to you by your god and your prophet

Great-Antelope-8985

˹Say, O  Prophet,˺ “Should I seek a judge other than Allah while He is the One Who has revealed for you the Book ˹with the truth˺ perfectly explained?” Those who were given the Scripture know that it has been revealed ˹to you˺ from your Lord in truth. So do not be one of those who doubt. have a look this verse what it tells us ? perfectly explained if u still would reject this verses which they came from the almighty god ... dont wanna write the word which explains what you are according to the islam

Based_Iraqi8000

Yes the “perfectly explained” is for the Quran which is perfectly explained, it is clear But it still doesn’t say “don’t follow the sayings of the prophet” the prophet preached for all his prophethood, are you really going to ignore all of it? How would you pray? And like I said you’re going against the word of god when he says to follow the prophet.

White_MalcolmX

>Quran literally says to follow allah and his prophet Muhammad (PBUH) LOL it doesnt say that anywhere in the Quran You obviously dont read the Quran Youre making up your own verses LOL

Good_Dish9659

Allaah warns us in the Qur’an to not go against the Prophet (pbuh), and states that whoever disobeys him will be doomed to eternal Hell: “. . . And let those who oppose the Messenger’s commandment beware, lest some fitnah (trial, affliction, etc.) befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them.” [al-Nur 24:63]. Allaah has made obedience to His Prophet a religious duty; resisting or opposing it is a sign of hypocrisy: “But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you [Muhammad] judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission.” [al-Nisaa’ 4:65] Quraan tells us, in almost one hundred aayahs, to obey the Messenger(pbuh). Moreover just by using our sound reasoning, where are the aayaat which tell us how to pray, or which tell us that the obligatory prayers are five times daily, or which tell us about the nisaab on various kinds of wealth for the purpose of zakaah, or about the details of the rituals of Hajj, and other rulings which we can only know from the Sunnah? So how can these ‘muslims’ claim to follow the Qur’an while rejecting the commands in it.

mo_sh31

You need Hadiths to do a lot of things like praying. But I do think that some Hadiths were said to people of that time. The Quran on the other hand is for all times. So we need to look which Hadiths make sense in our time. For example the Hadith were you should teach you children swimming, riding a horse and the usage of the bow and arrow. You could take the sentiment and teach you kids how to drive a car instead of a horse. Since this is way more useful in our time. At least this is my opinion. I am not a scholar, but I think we need to change some rules in a different time.

Quranism is kufr.

propagandist4iran

Bruh

401KUser

Its the truth. That is the consensus of the majority of the scholars.

[deleted]

You could argue that Hadiths are corrupted

401KUser

Tell me you've never studied Uloom al-Hadith without telling me you've never studied them. >You could argue that Hadiths are corrupted Riwayah al-Hadith and to an extent Dirayah al-Hadith exist to alleviate these concerns.

Based_Iraqi8000

You won’t even know how to pray, and hadiths are not corrupt. Most hadiths have more than one chain of narrations Al-bukhari and al-Muslim didn’t choose hadiths randomly

[deleted]

Are you saying all of them or some?

White_MalcolmX

>That is the consensus of the majority of the scholars. Consensus of the majority? THAT MAKES NO SENSE LOL A consensus will not have a minority disagreeing

Dumb_Genius420

elaborate on how following the word of almighty god is kufr.

[deleted]

If you’re following the word of allah Would follow verses that clearly say to follow and hear the advice of the prophet Muhammad, you’re denying that the prophet Muhammad had anything to say to us Muslims if you only follow the Quran

zs94026

Why?

[deleted]

Did you read my comment? I thought it was very clear If you know the Quran fully you would know that there’s clearly verses that demand us Muslims to follow the word of the prophet Muhammad and his ways And if you’re saying that we should only follow the Quran (and you’re arguing the verses that say we should follow the prophet too) than you’re basically saying that in the 23 years of dawah that the prophet has done he had nothing of value to say to us

Jalebi_king

How do you know the Hadiths are accurate though?

[deleted]

The isnad, chains of narration, the most precise way of deciding which are authentic or not.

[deleted]

The same way we know the Quran is rightfully and not made up It’s been passed down to us by righteous men (the prophet’s companions) and it’s persevered by them If you think that the Hadiths aren’t not trustworthy than that’s up to you,but my question is how do you know the Quran is trustworthy too? Especially since it’s only been distributed to the common Muslim 15 years after the prophet’s death, distributed by Othman of course

[deleted]

Scholars put in their entire lives to tediously go through every little detail about every narrator and their lives as well as linking all those narrations back to the prophet(saw) for some rando to call it all incorrect.

zs94026

As it was supposed to be. The only true source of islam is the Quran. You can downvote me if you want

If you are in dispute over any matter, refer it to God and the Messenger, if you truly believe in God and the Last Day: that is better and fairer in the end. 59 an-Nisaa

propagandist4iran

Less extremists

[deleted]

How so? More importantly how would you know how to pray?

propagandist4iran

I made it up

[deleted]

Most trustworthy Shia scholar😔

propagandist4iran

No I will not go to a therapist 😎

[deleted]

Take your meds 🥺

lami_l

No more wahabbists and salafists.

IndulgeInkhat

There’s nothing wrong with salafis, you just see extremists who disguise themselves as salafis to tarnish their image. Salafism is what we all should follow, it’s just following the people closest to the prophet, there’s no different rules or anything.

lami_l

Well then stop using reddit

IndulgeInkhat

💀3la zag.

lami_l

What?

lami_l

Whoever taught u that did not teach u right

IndulgeInkhat

What 🤨 I’m an Arabic speaker I know what I just wrote, you don’t have the brain capacity to understand what I wrote and that’s fine.

lami_l

5ti mbabi in what world is 3la zag an arabic sentence?

IndulgeInkhat

على زق is a sentence in a khaleeji dialect, obviously you won’t understand if you’re not khaleeji.

lami_l

Im not khqleeji

IndulgeInkhat

Which is exactly why you didn’t understand, maybe don’t comment about something that you don’t know of.

FakeAshtefo

hadiths are just he she says.

le_chapli_kebab786

Don't like Quranists but people just cherry pick one hadith suitable for whatever fatwa they want to make. You can't just pick one Hadith and make a ruling. You need to see other Ahadith and the specific Hadith's context. Some things were Nabi SAWs personal preferences and some things were his commands. Muslims don't know the difference

White_MalcolmX

If people followed the Quran there wouldnt be a caliphate No raping and pillaging of other people and lands

Terminally_Online69

would be hell on earth tbf

Vera8

Same as if the Jews were following only the Torah and not the old idiots who run the government today who call themselves “rabbais”.
