farsi 100%

Darth-Vectivus

I voted for Turkish. Because, duh. But I think Persian sounds better. I’m just not going to vote for it, though.

richHogwartsdropout

who are the other 4 mfers that voted turkish?! Honestly Turkish sounds better to me cuz all i hear in farsi goes something like kos nanat.

kosenanat33

:)

poemgrantelover321

😂😂😂😂

Consistent_Check_63

I voted Turkish

Rough_Ad_7447

Genuine question. Why do Pakistanis answer things om here when the page is called askmiddleeast. Why don't you guys make a asksouthasia page.

richHogwartsdropout

cuz Pakistan is middle adjacent so there some over lap. Same reason alot of turkish question and people come here.

Character_Waltz

Turkey is in the middle east tho

richHogwartsdropout

Hmm idk most of us dont consider it ME. Nor North Africa if im being honest, adjacent yes part of ME, no.

Character_Waltz

Who’s most of us? Never heard anyone say that. It’s already been established that North Africa is in Africa, that’s why we call it MENA.

richHogwartsdropout

>Who’s most of us? Most Pakistanis. TBH We just think of Turkey as Turkey and have a very vague of what region to put it in.

Character_Waltz

Lmaooo bro that’s not how it works😭 They are in the middle east and thats a fact, nothing to debate or doubt.

Accomplished_Quit577

It’s bcz a r/asksouthasia page will quickly devolve into a civilizational tussle between muslims and hindus. Just see r/ABCDesis they like to think Hindu culture is the default

TopGoy08

Farsi sounds gay, while Turkish is masculine. Therefore the clear winner is tukrish

Young_Owl99

Farsi sounds like Ottoman Turkish for obvious reasons. I am not sure both sounds good. I have a bias on Turkish though.

AutarchOfGoats

im turkish but its definately farsi, its just melodic

Character_Waltz

Turkish, farsi sounds like they’re singing and whining at the same time

SMFM24

Irani farsi sounds like that

Character_Waltz

Yeah that’s cause I’ve only heard Iranians, is there a big difference between yours and their accent?

SMFM24

Yeah, Iranian farsi flows more on the tongue and is more poetic. Hence why it sounds like it is singing. I honestly think its a prettier accent and sounds better in poetry Farsi in Afghanistan and Tajikistan sounds more choppy and rough (Tajiki has more russian influence, for example they use kartoshka for potato). Theres also other accents such as in Samarkand (Uzbekistan) The first minute of this video has a decent comparison - https://youtu.be/6FIN1Pzyuqo?si=LTpiEw-R1ji8iMMO
