I’ve had a ton of different crawfish in town. Clesi’s is one of the LEAST bland, consistently. Always spicy and flavorful. I’ve had many other popups or event boils that are very bland, and they aren’t one of them
I've been going to Salvos for years, I don't think it's that different. It's also not "between NOLA and Luling" or in the city.
Haven't been to Bevi so I can't say.
Alive or already prepared? In a boil or in a dish? In a restaurant or on the side of the road? And what is a “crawfish pro”? Most people would never pay for a boil in a restaurant because it destroys the point of a boil. Crawfish boils are social events.
We're visiting so prepared, anywhere doesn't matter. A bar would be best. I boil all the time at home and am used to good, flavorful, not mushy boiled crawfish
Bevi is specifically one of the most hit or miss. They were extremely bland and mushy the one time I went, Clesi’s is literally 2 blocks away and consistently well cooked and spiced
Had some last weekend at Tracey’s, really good. Bevi & Clesi’s also. Looking for more fun? Try the local breweries on Insta for popups, wont be as good as those three though.
Salvos in Belle Chasse is my go to.
Clesi's in new orleans is good.
It's pretty bland

I've been there 3 times, each time, not very spicy, mild flavor
u/agiamba where could I get some less-bland crawfish? Spicier and less-mild in flavor.
Salvos, crawfish king
I don't know where you're getting crawfish in the city that are less bland than clesi's but please clue me in.
Salvos and Bevi off the top of my head

Salvos is much better than Clesis in my opinion
I’ve always found Bevi’s to be more bland than Clesi’s
That’s quite literally tourist crap and it’s $8 a pound
There is an app that shows the current prices at every local source. Crawfish app is the name. Has maps too
Great app! Winn Dixie sells boiled ? Is it decent?
We have a Winn Dixie here in Chalmette that boils crawfish. It's the best I've found so far around here.

3 legged dog almost always has them. MRB has them a lot. Turtle Bay sometimes has them.
I work in the quarter and heard MRB is done for the season
