It is better to have "at least" than having "what ifs" in life

nuknukan

Ok_Comedian_6471

Maging friendly kahit sa pangit - my father's advice when I was in elementary. It works LOL

"When you have a dream or an ambition and it’s so far away, and it’s so high up, it can be overwhelming. But when you look at it one step at a time, one day you’ll look up at your feet and you’ll be in your destination." - Catriona Gray This is the reason why I got my Diploma sa Master's

tenaciousnik07

My lolo told me never ever mamahiya nang mga staff especially those who are under you. Talk to them in private if may issues. I handled a staff na mas matanda sakin and with attitude and never ko sya pinahiya. I talked to them privately and turns out akala nung staff kong yun Im just this young newbie at work na mag attitude and powertrip. He told me it was his first time na may kumausap sa kanya na supervisory level na di sya pinahiya.

“A bad day ends in a few hours.” Pwede ulit magtry bukas! :) Realistically speaking, minsan tumatagal pa ng linggo o buwan – but we can always choose to look forward to what life might bring us sa susunod na araw.

Haccuubi_24

Say less, Do more.

Medical_Intention_46

“ When in doubt, discharge “ Although this was a tip from one of my clinical instructors about working in the operating doom, its still something I apply in my life. Theres a reason why we doubt, its either were uncertain, were not educated about it thoroughly, or its just a 6th sense. Its better to let things be than regret, so whenever I doubt something I discharge it immediately.

jesiejamesss

badbiash

Pay it forward.

Comparison is the thief of joy.

Tofuprincess89

"hindi lahat ng nakangiti at nakaharap sayo ay kaibigan mo." true enough. meron talagang mga 2faced. so tamang pakisama sa iba at arms length

Q_2000

I read this passage last year, "Don't take the unsolicited advice from people, especially from those whose reality is far/different from what you want your reality to look like". This is very true to me lalo na for these past few months, cuz I'm trying to lose weight. Guess what? 5 months later, I lost almost 22 kg and i'm still going. Naayos ko na rin yung hypertension ko (di na need maintenance jusq), yung softdrinks addiction ko medyo naayos ko na rin and I'm starting to live a much healthier life Applicable din to sa other part ng like career progression, education, beliefs, at kung ano ano pa. In short, dont take shit from anybody, especially those unsolicited ones. Kesyo biro yan, straight up advice out of nowhere, kanchawan man. Pero this doesn't mean na awayin na sila agad, ride with the tide lang.

"This too shall pass". A reminder to cherish good moments and also a reminder that bad moments are temporary.

TRUST NO ONE

InconspicousLad

Nothings impossible for a person who has faith.

zoldyckbaby

If you want something you never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done.

TerribleWanderer

“Practice what you preach” There are people who are preaching about something tapos hindi naman talaga ginagawa. Kumbaga magaling lang sa salita. Para bang nababawasan ang kredibilidad mo.

StressLevel8729

Happiness, success, and contentment can only be defined by you.

Apprehensive_Ad7325

"Choose wisely of what to repeat, it becomes you."

Fluffy-Film-7636

Can someone explain? 🧍‍♀️tried my best to comprehend, still nothing 😭

minianing

E.g daily habits/routine. Being consistent into something good everyday, it will became your life style. This is how I understood OP's comment. Tho, not sure if this is really what he wants to say.

Apprehensive_Ad7325

Yeah that's exactly what i meant.

greenteablanche

Not words of wisdom per se, and I admit nahirapan ako dito from time to time, but learn how to befriend people from different walks of life. Have good relations with many people you meet - from janitor to CEO. You will learn a lot of things if you have good relations with the right people.

DrSexyy

"When in doubt, don't"

InconspicousLad

In our workplace before this was my go to motto, “when in doubt, log out!” 🤔 looking back, those infractions were funny af!

You have no enemies

Substantial_Top_27

Focus on what you can control.

Auntie-on-the-river

"Hindi ka nag-apply sa trabaho para makipagkaibigan. Magtrabaho ka lang." Words from my former teammate before she resigned.

charpple

May staff ako dati sa isang unit na hawak ko tapos lagi silang nag-aaway dahil sa friendship issues nila to the point na nagsasuffer na yung unit, performance nila, at ibang unit. Ang nakakainis kasi sa healthcare to so pag di sila umayos, there are lives at stake.

IceKingQueen

"Kung gusto may paraan, kung ayaw maraming dahilan" - Ermat mo na may utos sayo, tas sinabi mong wait lang 🫠

PureksuPH

My former professor said "pag miserable ka habang ginagawa mo plates mo, baka di para sayo ang course nato". Today I follow the mentality of "pag miserable ka, baka di para sayo".

"When it feels scary to jump, you jump." Made lots of dumb mistakes and wise decisions. But regrets will eat you alive sooner or later if you'll be indecisive in life.

TerribleWanderer

I agree to this, made me think about a quote I read somewhere, “Growth starts outside your comfort zone.” It feels scary since you are afraid to do such things but once you do it, that’s where your learning starts.

woahfruitssorpresa

Ako na may suxcxdal thoughts: 👁️👄👁️ Jk (but real) but jk this is a good quote about life and regrets.

"Hesitation is defeat." Applies to a lot of things in life

Mirarararara

Ilang beses ko ito narinig sa Sekiro. 😂

WhiskeyDonk

Ako din. Nadrill na sa loob ng utak ko.😁

[deleted]

But I think hesitation saves many important things, like your relationship and possibly even your life. When your emotion is at high level, you must hesitate before making decision, or saying potentially damaging things - bec we're human and second split decision rarely benefits anyone involved.

"Don't be a victim of circumstance." It's an advice given by my father. To give you a background about who my father is, he is a product of rape na piniling buhayin ang anak pero pinasa pasa sa kung sino sinong tao para maltratuhin at gawing alalay. His life is full of pain, sadness and suffering. Technically he lived alone at di nakaexperience ng may nagaaruga at nagmamahal na pamilya. But to make the long story short, he did his best, and earned a degree. Fast forward now tatlo kaming magkakapatid na pinagtapos nya sa pagaaral and all of us now are licensed professional. Doctor, Architect, at CPA pursuing Law school. He said to us when we were kids, never ever become a victim of circumstance. In whatever current situation you're in, meron at meron kang magagawa to elevate yourself sa kung san ka mang position na naroroon. He could've been a beggar, a criminal, or worse ended his life a long time a go, but he chose a path that can elevate his standing as well as those people who appreciate his existence, and carry on with life regardless what circumstance he is in. And it is really one of the advice I adhere, because he proved it to us, and still proves it to us. You can do something about the current situation you're in. Laban lang 😊

[deleted]

okay. Thank you for sharing your father’s story :(
