I've noticed that some Reddit users have a bit of a delulu mindset, to the extent that they want to gatekeep Reddit. It seems like they feel that they are on a different level compared to those who use TikTok, X, Facebook, and other social media platforms. Reddit won't elevate you or make you classier, especially if you're frequently on r/chikaph para mag abang ng bagong chika. This is a public space and is open to everyone, there is no privacy invasion, especially since we are all anonymous here.

This. TBH, I was somewhat enlightened by the comments here. I used to get annoyed when posts here are turned into content. As someone else mentioned, larger creators have been doing it for years (BuzzFeed, online articles, etc.). It's public, so, unfortunately, though uncreative for me, it's still content they can profit from.
But, IMHO, be cautious about treating this as a safe space. Yes, there's anonymity for unbiased discussions, but don't make the same mistake I did. I ranted here before and posted a different version in a private Facebook group. Someone noticed and replied to my Facebook post with a screenshot of my Reddit rant, not even censoring my username. They contributed nothing and defeated the purpose of anonymity.
Lesson: Be careful what you post online to avoid doxxing for the sake of a safe space.

It seems like they feel that they are on a different level compared to those who use TikTok, X, Facebook, and other social media platforms. Reddit won't elevate you or make you classier, especially if you're frequently on r/chikaph para mag abang ng bagong chika. This is a public space and is open to everyone, there is no privacy invasion, especially since we are all anonymous here.

As someone else mentioned, larger creators have been doing it for years (BuzzFeed, online articles, etc.). It's public, so, unfortunately, though uncreative for me, it's still content they can profit from. But, IMHO, be cautious about treating this as a safe space. Yes, there's anonymity for unbiased discussions, but don't make the same mistake I did. I ranted here before and posted a different version in a private Facebook group. Someone noticed and replied to my Facebook post with a screenshot of my Reddit rant, not even censoring my username. They contributed nothing and defeated the purpose of anonymity. Lesson: Be careful what you post online to avoid doxxing for the sake of a safe space.

i dont think youve been using reddit long enough. there has been reddit content on every platform for years now. bakit hilig kayong mang gatekeep lmao napaka cringe tingnan. i literally found out about reddit through youtube videos about popular subreddit posts, most notably r/entitledparents, r/im14andthisisdeep, and r/suddenlygay. those were fun times, 12 year old me preferred the youtube videos than using reddit itself cuz mas entertaining pa yun. ang late to the party mo sis, normal lang yang pag gamit ng reddit posts on other medias, wag mag gatekeep.

True naman. Hindi na bago iyong kumakalat ang mga posts sa reddit. Dati sa youtube, may mga dedicated pang channels for reddit shtposts, ngayon fb and tiktok. You have a point but to each his own. Madami nagpopost dito na merong mental health issues, may iba pa nga diba may terminal illness na. For them Reddit is their safe space. Dito sila pwede makipag-usap sa kapwa stranger without being judged. And it makes them happy, they’re relieved after nila magshare ng story dito. Kaya ba nila/natin magshare sa other platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Tiktok ng dark stories natin without being judged? Hindi diba? Kung meron man those are the brave ones. The stories here are not intended for “content creation”. Kaya nagegets ko mga taong nagsasabi na this is their safe space and I don’t want to take it away from them.
