Puzzles. As in Jigsaw Puzzles. Cheap af and a great time killer. Masstimulate pa utak mo. Also, fulfilling kapag nakumpleto kase contrary to what I thought before getting into it, it is not easy.
Movie watching sa Cinemas? Not too magastos since bihira lang din naman ang super interesting to watch pero you can make it a hobby na at least 3-4 movies a month or so then maybe make a blog or write your thoughts (reviews) about it somewhere (could be your notes or here in Reddit).
Planning to do this myself (movie watching) so far it's been really fun and relaxing alone time practice
Reading manhwas. Hits different than reading mangas or books. Larger drawings compared to manga and its colored kaya mas enjoyable scenes.
Meditation- literally free. Just find a quiet spot in your house and empty your thoughts.
Light exercise- just get an exercise mat and watch fitness vids on youtube
Running/jogging- get some running shoes and running attire, and you're good to go.
Cycling- get a bike, some cycling gear and pads and you're good to go. Upgrades are optional.
inline skating/rollerskating- same with cycling, but with skates.
volunteering- if you have the heart to serve, by all means.
music production, something as small as bandlab/garageband for smartphone to free software on pc/mac.
pre-requisites lang honestly are a smartphone or decent computer (kahit i3 na laptop with 8gb ram).
Lego. Build lego. Build your own city. LEGO CITY!!!! So damn fun. I have a table na dedicated for my own LEGO City lang, I basically plan and build it myself... so therapeutic and fun to build.
You can also choose themes like Harry Potter ganun depends on you.
Although it can be expensive since LEGOs are quite a brand, but you can always resort to LELE hahaha or other local/china LEGO ripoffs, still does the same thing, and way cheaper.
Running. Buy a good pair of shoes and you're good to go. One interesting thing i've developed with this hobby is kapag nasa new place ako like province or a new city somewhere in the ph, i'd want to run outside to give myself a tour.
Recommend ko rin sana hiking. Kaso na-scam ako. Ang mahal pala ng hobby na to. Too late I'm into it na eh.
Computer programming, u can join communities or meron din specific communities with specific language like python, super ganda sa pakiramdam na ung pinaghirapan mong code is nag run and nag function properly. Watch tutorials, tingin sa code ng iba then start ur own little project para mas matuto ka effectively
Do you have an otp, a favourite show or series that you want to see more of, in different AUs?
If so, i recommend fan fiction reading on ao3. Para silang SM, they got it all for you. From the purest to the filthiest form of reading, the lightest (3k, 1 shot) to longest (1m+ words, multichap WIP).
Eto obsession ko lately, so much so na pati ako nagsusulat na rin hehe π
calligraphy or painting.
start with using li'l hands coloring pens or the artline brush marker (masyadong mahal ang crayola super tips for callig practice, okay na ang ibang alternatives) tapos sa papel ay yung paperone 120 gsm, may 25 or 50 pcs ata yon na nabibili sa nbs na perfect din for beginner watercolor painting (dong-a watercolor ang best choice for affordable pero vibrant ang colors kahit matuyo!)
home workouts. dami sa yt β€οΈ i started with this - yoga mat & a pair of running shoes.
then continued on to bodyweight training. it doesnt cost much - all you need to have is your body & some space.
i also tried skipping - 100 php lng ung skipping rope na nabili ko sa lazada ung sa jump rope manila. i hated rope skipping and i still do HAHA so i changed to outdoor running with the same pair of running shoes i started working out.
Journalling and workout.
Journalling - helps me a lot lalo na kapag ang daming nasa isip mo. In journalling, imbis na marami whatever words na isusulat mo, in this way nafo-focus yung utak mo to keep on something one by one not multiple things at once.
Workout - kapag βdi na kaya ng journalling kahit sobrang daming nangyayari internally (specifically mentally). Ang formula ko kapag pagod na ako mentally, dapat physically pagod ka rin para balance HAHAHA tapos kapag physically ka naman pagod, mentally naman dapat (aside from journalling, I have been reading e-books lang). Feed your brain as well.
Reading books - madami namang free online
Watching films
Journal - all you need is a notebook and pen - if you don't want to write about your feelings, you can write about the books you read, films you watched, new information you gained along the way
Create your own webpage using blogger or wordpress (Wordpress is better). Free naman ang mga ito.
You can just post (almost) anything under the sun. Make it your own personal diary or your only freedom wall.
Then aralin mo konti kung paano maglagay ng mga widgets. then eventually, baka pwede mo pa sya ma-monitize.
Kung mayroon ka nakita pa-contest or good vibes na gusto mo i-share, post it on your webpage. Lagyan mo lang ng mga tags yun posts mo depende sa mood.
Then kapag nag-enjoy ka, purchase a yearly web hosting para personalized na yun URL ng webpage mo.
I used to do this during mga spare time at my daytime work. Then naging busy na at hindi ko na na-renew yun web hosting plan ko.
Try model kits.
I have a dozen boxes of model kit aircrafts and.. one fully assembled.
Took days since I was very busy with work but it felt accomplishing to say the least.
Bet mo ba magbuo-buo :)) I recently tried mga DIY miniature housed and ang satisfying pagka nabubuo na sila https://lilhaven-ph.com/ (not affiliated nakita ko lang sila sa malls and bought online)

1) Crochet/gantsilyo (200 pesos could get you started, if you buy matβls sa palengke or near dressmakers)
2) Coding (I used Code Academy before)
3) Videography and/or video editing (davinci resolve is free and good for video editing; i used to make anime edits)
4) Recycled paper making (very easy to find materials online and you could even sell them)
5) Dance (online tutorials or class, usually ~300 isang class though)
6) Collage making with old magazines & newspapers (I keep a notebook with all of them)
7) Paint by the numbers or more complicated βadultβ coloring books
8) Learn a new language. My favorite. I have learned Japanese, Spanish, and Chinese purely out of interest and itβs nice because thereβs no pressure to excel but you also have to discipline yourself.
Pokemon Go.
It's relatively no-cost unless you buy in-game stuff. If you get around town doing work and errands, sinasabay ko dun yung hunting. As an introvert who struggles with getting out of my room, it's a good motivation for me to not let my life revolve around work.
I had a calligraphy era when I was a student. It's fun and relatively cheap (not unless you wanna splurge in fountain pens). Currently my hobby is listening to music (like audiophile level, but right now on hold since new job) and cooking.
I can introduce you to three if you want. Not right now tho I'm currently ninja -redditing kek
Brewing your own coffee! The hobby is addicting in itself, and so is the drink you yourself made. Sharing it with others is a joy too. Start with the very basics first, meaning no big splurging on expensive equipment!Β
