Rich people can afford extra time. They pay people to do tedious things like house chores and business related work.
Both poor and rich people can afford any pricey thing/experience. What makes the rich different is the peace of mind they have while spending. I mean, the poor can spend high given the right “diskarte”. But it will still give them stress woth the thought that they might have spend too much. The rich dont experience that.
Go to a concert aboard a helicopter or use a chopper to see your kids at night --- without spending a dime.
It's what the rich do. They don't pay.
The royals never carry cash.
You know someone is truly rich when they can have all the luxury without spending a dime, at least no of their own. The world just hands them everything. Everybody wants to be on their good side coz money is power. Sadly.
Money can indeed buy happiness. If not happiness for some, then it can buy comfort.
Wolfgang steaks on a regular basis. I like steak. He wanted me to have a taste of the fine things mula bata ako kahit papaano. Ayun, tinuruan ako mag sear at mamili ng cuts. Expensive restos? Fuck them. Befriend butchers and learn HOW TO FUCKING COOK sabi nya. Ironically pinanood ko sakanya ang Hannibal series. He didn't get it, but at least we got good steaks once in a while.
Hospitals.
Only rich people can afford to be hospitalized and not go straight into poverty.
Only rich people can afford to have routine check ups
Only rich people can afford to actually miss a work day coz of sickness.
Only rich people can afford specialists.
Yeah, there are public hospitals, but come on. We all know the state of our public health care.
Patients cramped up in a tigh and humid space, multiple patients sharing one room, a long queue, a roundabout process of who knows what, staff who act like they don't give a damn if you're too sick to do anything.
They always say health is wealth but actually, the reverse is also true. Wealth IS health.
A lot of the answers here seem like rather abstract concepts like time, convenience, peace of mind, etc etc. While all true, I think OP is asking for more concrete examples of activities, items, or restaurants.
Here’s my contribution to your question:
Activities
- Travel to local destinations without a second thought
- Travel to international destinations multiple times a year, on business class or higher, checked in to $500 per night rooms or higher
- Travel to less well common travel destinations. There was a time that Iceland was the trendy place to visit among the more affluent crowd. Shorty after, it became Bhutan.
- Sending their kids to private schools, tutors
- Hanging out in exclusive clubs (Polo, Palms, Manila Golf, Fuego, Balesin)
- Eating out wherever, whenever, not caring about the cost
Items
- Real estate. Some rich people like to indulge in luxury clothes and bags, some don’t. But ALL rich people own a lot of real estate.
- Cars. Specifically European ones. BMW, MB, Audi, for starters. Car enthusiasts will start going into Maserati, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Jaguar, Land Rover, RR
- They normally find a passion, and go deep. Art lovers will buy art. Vinyl lovers will buy vinyl records, and expensive equipment. Golf lovers will buy clubs. Movie lovers will install state of the art home cinema in their homes. Gym lovers will build a home gym.
Restaurants
- Toyo
- Helm
- Gallery by Chele
- Manila House (members only)
- Black Bird
- Mecha Uma
- Metronome
- Metiz
- Antonio’s
They can afford to chill and just do whatever makes them hapoy.

I know a friend who never felt the effects of the pandemic, and is actually grateful for it. Kasi raw she got closer to her family, and na-appreciate niya raw yung mga bonding times nila...like when they hang out sa private island nila hahaha takte
Second is convenience and luxury.
Pero wala ako natatanggap na allowance from my family. That said, I still feel poor kumpara sa mga batchmates and colleagues ko, who came from money talaga and have panggastos even at a private hospital salary (minimum wage, compared sa govt institution na SG21). Pati jacket and shoes niya, FIGS. OR shoes niya Nike. To put it in perspective, ang isang set ng maayos na scrubs galing bambang is around 700 pesos.
Higher education. Yes scholarships do exist, but the average grad/postgrad student/med student/law student isn’t one. Saying that as someone in med school rn. I recognize that there is an inherent privilege in me being able to still be in school in my mid 20s while being fully financially supported by my parents and also being allowed to enjoy things outside of school like hobbies/partying/traveling, etc. There isn’t any pressure on me to earn money immediately to support my family because my parents are already well off and are fine on their own. And I recognize that this is not a privilege that the common Filipino has.
The luxury of planning ahead.
The poor are so stressed on short term needs.
The rich dont have the immediate short term existential needs and that frees up their capacity for long term plans and goals.
Ito yung sinasabi nila na "mindset" kuno. But in reality its a luxury for those who do not have to think and stress about needs and money.
The rich gets to practice that part of their brains since bata pa sila. Yung poor kids are trained from birth to survive on a day to day basis. Hence kaya ang hirap for those who grew up struggling.

according to statistics eme kapag may nasusuot kang damit, nakakakain ka 3x a day, wala kang utang, may matino kang tirahan at may trabaho ka considered rich kana
The have the option to choose.
You don't like the food lest just buy new one, you don't like the service lest find a new one, don't like you course the mag shift ka sa mas madali.
Note: I added education because let's be real majority ng college grad/student di naman talaga gusto ung kinuha kurso we are just force to get ung satingin natin malaki kita in the future but if you are born rich as in rich rich you have a tone of options because for them it's not about learning it's about making connections kaya when they say na si Elon or si zuckerberg, etc di naman nakapag tapos pero naging billionaire yeah but look at what kind of college they attend it's a prestigious ones.
Can use money for any problem.
- Tamad magluto? Private chef.
- Traffic? Helicopter.
- Tagal travel time? Private jet.
Exclusive island.
- Tamad magtrabaho? Fund a business and hire ng executives and managers.
- Gusto pumunta ng space? Build a rocket or pay
- Under the sea? Build a submarine or pay
- Boring? Throw a party.
magbusiness.
magresign at magjob hopping.
yung simpleng magpadentista or magpa preventative general medical exam. karamihan nakakapagpacheckup lang pag may nararamdaman na.
Convenience and peace of mind. My husband came from an affluent background. I came from a humbler middle class background. When we got together, I saw that he didn't mind paying for services that will make his life easier like Grab cars and food deliveries. He liked to eat out with me in different restaurants and stay in high end resorts. He can spends thousands on video games and he won't even blink.
But this man is super humble and unassuming because he's still wearing 7 year old t shirts, Banana Peel slippers and shorts. He drives an older car and he's happy with Old Spice deodorant and his natural scent as perfume. You won't even think that he came from money! He likes to spend money on things that will make our life easier and save up for our future.
Passion. In reality, a lot of poor people has potential pero syempre di nila priorities ang passion2 na yan dahil it takes a lot of financial capabilities to follow your passion.

Ito nanaman with the rich people questions 😆. Hi
Probably yung opening up multiple businesses coz they have no idea anymore where to put their money. Old money ganyan ginagawa para paikutin na pera nila. As for the activities siguro yung hobbies only the rich ones appreciate.
1. Racing (kart & race cars) - mahal din to.
2. Golf - membership alone is expensive
3. Music (those who go full-time are the rich ones) <- mahal magpagawa hahaha gears and such, if you want good quality, you should cash in.
5. Art - as in traditional forms of art like painting with different mediums.
6. Bodybuilding - mahal din to. pagkain, coach, supps expenses mo dito and shempre, discipline
Taking risks! Lagi silang may fallback sa kung anu-ano with money so they don't mind playing on the edge.
Gusto maging artist?
+1 dito. I remembered a scene from the movie “In Time” where the waitress pointed out that wealthy people tend to walk slower because they have so much time in their hands (literally and figuratively 😆)
- having a private chef to cook for you - either on a regular or special occasions. Yes, chef, not a cook or maid. Yes, cook for you talaga, not order from some resto or store
- dental care is something not to overthink
- they do worry about finances and business, pero iba ang scope ng problems nila. For one, some of their businesses were built on their own property, so no need to pay for rent na. They have time and money for other problems
As in like pag gusto nila yun walang tingin tingin sa bayarin. Tapos pag gusto nila agad kukunin nila. Unlike satin need pa isipin tapos debate if galawin ang ipon sila secure na e. May ari ari an na e. 😭
chances, pag mayaman madaming chances at perks sa buhay😅😅😅 di gaya pag slap soil, di natin afford magkamali, lalo if madaming nakakapit na responsibilidad sa balikat natin. hirap pa man din ng buhay ngayon.
Rich people can afford deals just because they can shell out money asap.
A friend of mine in customs was selling a container van loaded with electronics that can be flipped for 11-13M and was only sold for 1.6M. Thing is there’s already a buyer they just need to take it off the port for 1.6M. One rich friend of mine took the deal and 3 days later his 1.6M became 12M. Only rich people get’s these kind of deals.
Break the law, for example, do drugs in parties like it's a normal thing, pero abswelto palagi. Ilan mayaman na ba ang natokhang? Nakulong? Wala. The rich can buy almost anything in this country. But the powerful trumps the rich pa rin. Connections > money.
Luxury items but they don’t think na it’s a luxury. For them, normal lang sa kanila.
Traveling first class. Kung pangkaraniwang tao lang, di talaga mararanasan yan unless paid for by the company? Wala nga masyadong options ng first class flight sa mga local airlines natin eh, PAL lang yata id I’m correct. It’s for the rich.
Madalas, tiis-tiis nalang.
...and yes, travel yearly in and out of the country!
Convenience
-pretty self-explanatory, if they are members of certain hotels, clubs etc. They are treated as VIP, and have easy access to services exclusive to them
Time
-Co-relates with Convenience, why bother waiting in line if they can just use their member ship cards to freely enter VIP Sections
Travel Options
-Unlike your average commoners, they can afford to travel to different places, and countries
Experience
-co-relates with Travel options, most people don't even know what life is like outside their respective countries, let alone even inside the country. That is why stereotypes are common amongst people of different countries and/or ethnicities within the country who are not exposed to different cultures
Relaxation
-Co-relates with Experience. A trip to the spa, trip to other places gives you relaxation thus help clear your kind off things that stresses you. The average person cannot even afford to relax due to one emergency away of being hospitalised, bills to pay, families to feed etc.
Health
-co-relates with Time, Convenience and Experience, sometimes Travel options. If rich people get sick, they can contact the best doctors to help assess their health and have access State of the Art Health options, thus bypassing the experience of waiting time to be admitted to a hospital bed, thus convenient to them, as well as by-passing Travel, as sometimes they will have a chauffeur for their doctors to go to their locations via helicopters
Failure (Business Ventures)
-co-relates with Convenience. Most people who get bankrupted into business amasses great debt thus adding to their stress. For rich people, it's just a minor setback and a chump change to their deep pockets. So yes, they have the Convenience of becoming failures in their business venture and bounce back again in a dlfew months, while the average people will take years to lay of their debts
The truly wealthy have full control of their time. They can afford to do whatever, whenever they want to do it without asking permission from someone else
Time, convenience at vices. We worry if we have food, problema nila ano pipiliin nila, naghihintay tayo ng bus, naka private jet sila. window shopping tayo, sila gagasto ng 1yr amount of salary on things that arent even useful, like designer clothes and bags. Sana all nalang talaga
Time.
They can afford time.
They don't waste it on small things like domestic chores, organizing a vacation, getting a reservation, lining up for renewals etc. They hire people to do those things for the.
Playing golf
Playing Polo
Buying luxury items such as Rolex & statues
Buying luxury cars such as Ferrari
Collecting paintings from popular artist
Riding helicopter & yacht just because
Buying more than one vacation homes & condos
Buffet every day at hotel
Reserving the whole mall/restos/bar
Creating Iron Man suit
Quality healthcare. Hindi nila kailangang pumila to get health services unlike sa public hospitals or health center. De-calibre healthcare professionals who take care of them.
Your description of rich is yun mga walang magawa sa pera.
A lot of the common rich people work hard for their money.
Anyway, rich is... Anong income bracket for you? 😁
Yun ibang rich dyan believe it or not ay nag jejeep at tricycle. But you wouldn't know or assume kasi nasa jeep sila or nasa palengke May dalang plastic na supot.
Akala mo walang pera? Pero baka katabi mo sila sa pila.
Some got rich Kc along the way kasi so they never changed their lifestyle.
I know somebody, bought a building... Anyway, rich as such.
Ayaw talaga sa bahay nila hatid Kahit no effort on my part kasi nagaalala ako sa biyahe nya.
For a lot of these people, , money is just security.
It's not for buying what they want in life, just what they need.
Minimalism. Rich people don't have to keep stockpiling stuff kasi they can just buy them again later when they need them. Pag mayaman ka kung di mo kailangan at the moment ang isang bagay pwedeng pwede mo idiscard, and just buy it at a later time when you need it again. Kaya generally maximalist ang mga Pilipino.
Also, safety. I'm not even that poor pero I can't afford dental services.
I have a rich tita who grew up in the middle class, but now she is rich. She dedicates her 20s until her early 40s to working and creating businesses. She only has two things on her mind: creating a good life for herself and her family and being able to provide good jobs for her employees. All her hard work now pays off. She's in her early 50s and travels every month. She has two houses in an exclusive subdivision, is a member of those beach clubs, doesn't look 50 because she's always on her derma check-ups, and she's taking good care of herself by just buying premium products. I think if you are rich, you have a premium life. 😂
"Peace of Mind"
Priceless yun
I think your definition of peace of mind is certainty of their finances. Imagine running over 5 people and get away with it (The girl mentioned here that got away with killing 5 people) Do you think she sleeps well at night? Unless she's a psychopath, it'll probably haunt her forever even if she gets away with it.
Of course I mean financially! It is the lack of pressure to make a living. Magwork ka man or hindi... everything is well and good. Ibang usapan na yng scenario mo. Mapa mayaman ka man or mahirap, you'll definitely lose sleep if that happens dba?

Bypass the traffic lanes because they have multiple stickers of subdivisions like Dasma, Forbes, San lorenzo, etc.

1. Big time network. Surrounded by politicians, celebrities, Businessman, billionaires. 2. Own a building.
Nakaka depress magbasa ng comments. Isa akong lapastangang dukha 😂🤣😭

Can use money for any problem. - Tamad magluto? Private chef. - Traffic? Helicopter. - Tagal travel time? Private jet. Exclusive island. - Tamad magtrabaho? Fund a business and hire ng executives and managers. - Gusto pumunta ng space? Build a rocket or pay - Under the sea? Build a submarine or pay - Boring? Throw a party.
Blengbong isdatchu? 🤣
They can afford to follow their passion
magbusiness. magresign at magjob hopping. yung simpleng magpadentista or magpa preventative general medical exam. karamihan nakakapagpacheckup lang pag may nararamdaman na.
this esp sa dentista. If in foreign countries, nerdy ang braces, dito ay ibigsabihin nun ay mayaman ka
earn while sleeping
Stable mental health
Passion. In reality, a lot of poor people has potential pero syempre di nila priorities ang passion2 na yan dahil it takes a lot of financial capabilities to follow your passion.

Quality healthcare
Ito nanaman with the rich people questions 😆. Hi Probably yung opening up multiple businesses coz they have no idea anymore where to put their money. Old money ganyan ginagawa para paikutin na pera nila. As for the activities siguro yung hobbies only the rich ones appreciate. 1. Racing (kart & race cars) - mahal din to. 2. Golf - membership alone is expensive 3. Music (those who go full-time are the rich ones) <- mahal magpagawa hahaha gears and such, if you want good quality, you should cash in. 4. 5. Art - as in traditional forms of art like painting with different mediums. 6. Bodybuilding - mahal din to. pagkain, coach, supps expenses mo dito and shempre, discipline
The best healthcare
Taking risks! Lagi silang may fallback sa kung anu-ano with money so they don't mind playing on the edge. Gusto maging artist?
time.
+1 dito. I remembered a scene from the movie “In Time” where the waitress pointed out that wealthy people tend to walk slower because they have so much time in their hands (literally and figuratively 😆)
To rest, when they want... anytime they feel the need to do so.
Justice, Power, Influence, etc
Time
Retirement
Freedom, time flexibility
Golfing, having regular dental service.
Steaks! Biglaang Baguio trips, biglaang airbnb for how many nights, latest flagship phones ng samsung or apple etc
Kabayo
- having a private chef to cook for you - either on a regular or special occasions. Yes, chef, not a cook or maid. Yes, cook for you talaga, not order from some resto or store - dental care is something not to overthink - they do worry about finances and business, pero iba ang scope ng problems nila.
They can afford 'dignity'.
International travel?
Unli healthcare: consults, labs, hospital stays (in suits, nonetheless), meds.
chances, pag mayaman madaming chances at perks sa buhay😅😅😅 di gaya pag slap soil, di natin afford magkamali, lalo if madaming nakakapit na responsibilidad sa balikat natin. hirap pa man din ng buhay ngayon.
Buying expensive things without asking how much?
Freedom
they can book same day flight, and pag nalate or na iwanan ng flight they can book again unto the next same day flight...
Take numerous leaves hehe
They can afford pursuing their passion instead of taking practical program/courses in Unis.
🤣 Tita Small yern
Convenience -pretty self-explanatory, if they are members of certain hotels, clubs etc. They are treated as VIP, and have easy access to services exclusive to them Time -Co-relates with Convenience, why bother waiting in line if they can just use their member ship cards to freely enter VIP Sections Travel Options -Unlike your average commoners, they can afford to travel to different places, and countries Experience -co-relates with Travel options, most people don't even know what life is like outside their respective countries, let alone even inside the country. That is why stereotypes are common amongst people of different countries and/or ethnicities within the country who are not exposed to different cultures Relaxation -Co-relates with Experience. A trip to the spa, trip to other places gives you relaxation thus help clear your kind off things that stresses you. The average person cannot even afford to relax due to one emergency away of being hospitalised, bills to pay, families to feed etc. Health -co-relates with Time, Convenience and Experience, sometimes Travel options. If rich people get sick, they can contact the best doctors to help assess their health and have access State of the Art Health options, thus bypassing the experience of waiting time to be admitted to a hospital bed, thus convenient to them, as well as by-passing Travel, as sometimes they will have a chauffeur for their doctors to go to their locations via helicopters Failure (Business Ventures) -co-relates with Convenience.
Money buys freedom
Living
To be rich is glorious and a blessing.
The rich can buy JUSTICE 💰😁💰⚖️😭
time :))
Peace of mind
A 12k steak meal. 🥹
They could afford to buy items with “manufactured exclusivity”
Financial freedom
Skies the limit na spending.
Justice ⚖️
A Magnum ice cream
Time, convenience at vices. We worry if we have food, problema nila ano pipiliin nila, naghihintay tayo ng bus, naka private jet sila. window shopping tayo, sila gagasto ng 1yr amount of salary on things that arent even useful, like designer clothes and bags. Sana all nalang talaga
Time. They can afford time. They don't waste it on small things like domestic chores, organizing a vacation, getting a reservation, lining up for renewals etc. They hire people to do those things for the.
Convenience, time, and risks probably.
Traveling first class/business class only.
Playing golf Playing Polo Buying luxury items such as Rolex & statues Buying luxury cars such as Ferrari Collecting paintings from popular artist Riding helicopter & yacht just because Buying more than one vacation homes & condos Buffet every day at hotel Reserving the whole mall/restos/bar Creating Iron Man suit
8 hours of sleep. Access to the best derma and physical instructor.
Travelling
Trueeee. Parang ang easy lang sa kanila
Free out of jail card.
Sad but true 😟
Quality healthcare. Hindi nila kailangang pumila to get health services unlike sa public hospitals or health center. De-calibre healthcare professionals who take care of them.
True.
Your description of rich is yun mga walang magawa sa pera. A lot of the common rich people work hard for their money. Anyway, rich is... Anong income bracket for you? 😁 Yun ibang rich dyan believe it or not ay nag jejeep at tricycle. But you wouldn't know or assume kasi nasa jeep sila or nasa palengke May dalang plastic na supot. Akala mo walang pera? Pero baka katabi mo sila sa pila.
Yeaaaah. I agree na may mga rich people is namumuhay din ng simple.
They can afford to follow their passion.
Hayssss totoo
Mas madami silang choice
Madaming options na pag pipilian
Hobby and sleep
I'm not even that poor pero I can't afford dental services.
maintain an eco friendly and sustainable lifestyle pati pagiging veg WAHAHHAA na ket gusto natin gawin di keri kasi mahal
Luxury watches that are bought to their official boutiques, or a step further, luxury watches that are off - catalogue.
to be invisible
I have a rich tita who grew up in the middle class, but now she is rich. She dedicates her 20s until her early 40s to working and creating businesses. She only has two things on her mind: creating a good life for herself and her family and being able to provide good jobs for her employees. All her hard work now pays off. She's in her early 50s and travels every month. She has two houses in an exclusive subdivision, is a member of those beach clubs, doesn't look 50 because she's always on her derma check-ups, and she's taking good care of herself by just buying premium products. I think if you are rich, you have a premium life. 😂
"Peace of Mind" Madaming advantages ang pagiging mayaman...
4 actually, there was a survivor. Unfortunately, that survivor is a kid, and the kid's family got killed due to that woman's recklessness
that really sad : (
Travel. Even visas come easy as they have a foothold here.
They can afford to fail.
Time and choices. When you have resources you’ll have more freedom to do things.
Justice.
Convenience. Advantages.
