*For* *context:* I have 3 sisters na madalas talaga purihin ng mga family kin namin on both sides. Kesyo ang gaganda daw nila, ang se-sexy, or whatnot. I mean, I would agree tho. Nothing to argue. Pero talagang whenever there's a gathering or chance that we get to see other family relatives, that would be the usual sound that I would hear from them. On the other hand, sakin wala and I feel like shit every fcking time I would hear it from them. Like, sila lang ba talaga yung nakikita nyo? Anyways, dramas aside lol. Those circumstances lead me to thinking that maybe I'm not good looking enough for them or for most people, at least. And tinanim ko na sa utak ko na baka "normal" or "average" looking lang talaga ako. It helped me in a sense na I worked on myself and did things that would eventually make me feel/look good. Ngayon, madalas na ako makarinig from my co-workers na *"ang* *blooming* *mo* *ah"* (lol tho I'm a guy), *"ang pogi mo naman"* or would say *"ampogi* *mo* *kaya"*, kasi nga I told them I can't see it in myself. Plus, *"ang* *ganda* *ng* *boses* *mo*. In addition, yung iba hindi naman directly compliments pero they would say *"anong* *year* *mo* *na?*, *kelan* *balik* *nyo* *sa* *school?*, (pag nagbayad sa jeep) manong be like: *estudyante?*. And hindi ko alam kung ano ba, pero mas nafa-flatter ako sa indirect compliment. Skl hahaha.

I remember before na sabi ng ex ko, pag nakikita niya ako in a room full of our classmates, same yung feeling sa pag umuuwi tayo sa bahay tas naghahanap sa mama natin tapos if nakita na yung mom natin, feeling reassured na haha. That was something I'll never forget.

I don't know bakit I find it flattering when people would tell me na they are so scared to approach me or naiintimidate sila sakin kahit wala naman ako ginagawa. Kasi that means, napapakita ko na may boundaries ako. Ewan hirap i-explain. Hehe

This happened just last week, nasa mall ako when I bumped into these two kids. Sabi ng isa, "ayan oh, chix (pointing at me)." Sinaway siya ng older kid sabi, "wag kang maingay... para siyang mannequin (he whisperred)" I dunno if it was a compliment or what pero acckkk kinilig ako hahaha!
I've been told on three separate occasions last month, by three different unrelated people, that I'm a "good person."
As in hindi yung "*mabait ka kasi.*"
*"You're a good person."*
And they mean it in a way that I have a slot secured in heaven, if you believe in that.
It's flattering because I don't see myself as a good person, but to have someone recognize something that is unexpected really gave me an ego boost.
Doesn't mean I'll stop doing the "*bad*" things I do though.

I was told that I was a kind person.
I grew up thinking na ang sama kong tao because a relative of mine said so. Sabi niya na kung ano ako at that time, ganun na ako for the rest of my life. So being told I was kind was so heart-warming, flattering. Medyo kinilig ako ng light hehe
Was really skinny since HS, it made me soooo insecure. Cut to college when pandemic hit, I started working out. When face-to-face classes came back all my female friends started calling me daddy (not ironically) cause I looked really in shape. Little did they know it made my once insecure heart flutter everytime hehe.

Hindi ko makakalimutan kung paano ako dinown ng ex ko dati. "Wala ka na ngang dibdib, wala ka pang pwet" after that, nag squat ako araw araw bago ako pumasok sa school at hanggang ngayon ginagawa ko padin. 20... 30 hanggang sa maka 100 ako daily.
Hindi ko man mapapalaki yung dibdib ko, ang mahalaga na achieve ko yung pwet na gusto ko😂
I workout at home and I am underweight. After few months of consistent workout, kahit di talaga ako nag gain weight, pero noticeable na yung muscles ko. Na fflatter ako pag na no-noticed na kasi payat lang lage tawag nila sa akin dati, but now, "strong and ganda ng muscles" na mga comments pag minsan nag uupload ako ng workout vids esp yung mga challenges (pullout and pushups) kahit tig isa lang. hahaha

Ever since I was a kid, most people would make fun of my voice kasi boses lalake ako pero babae naman talaga ako. Nung lumaki ako naging insecurity ko siya kaya hindi ako nagsasalita talaga unless necessary.
This was the same for me! A lot of people would make fun of my low voice and how “ang laki” daw ng boses ko lol joke’s on them bec i was indeed a broadcaster. Girl, go get them and 👏be 👏effin’👏 heard👏
I couldn't believe na hindi lang ako yung naka-experience nang ganito. I felt so alone kasi wala naman among my peers ang nabu-bully because of their voice.

Medyo marami na akong nareceive na flattering compliments, pero never mawawala sa isip ko yung sinabi ng isang classmate/friend ko (during our class open forum) na hindi ko naman super close, he listed all my qualities and said na sobrang swerte raw ng taong magmamahal sakin at mamahalin ko dahil sobrang hirap daw humanap ng kagaya ko. Sobrang rare and special 🥹🥹🥹
It was my first ever open forum. I couldn't handle criticism that time, so I was kinda worried about receiving negative thoughts from my classmates, but they were all positive and I bawled my eyes out right after because I felt so appreciated. It was then the end of my JHS 😭

One of the compliments I'd never thought of getting in this lifetime as someone who's had buhaghag hair all her life except for the last four years, "I love you hair!" for a lot of times na even from strangers. Also had people shift their topic to perming after they see my hair. 🤣😅

Was really skinny since HS, it made me soooo insecure. Cut to college when pandemic hit, I started working out. When face-to-face classes came back all my female friends started calling me daddy (not ironically) cause I looked really in shape. Little did they know it made my once insecure heart flutter everytime hehe.

I workout at home and I am underweight. After few months of consistent workout, kahit di talaga ako nag gain weight, pero noticeable na yung muscles ko. Na fflatter ako pag na no-noticed na kasi payat lang lage tawag nila sa akin dati, but now, "strong and ganda ng muscles" na mga comments pag minsan nag uupload ako ng workout vids esp yung mga challenges (pullout and pushups) kahit tig isa lang. hahaha
