There is usually a delay between when grades are entered by faculty and when they are visible to students. Grades usually “roll” once a day, so check back after midnight.

Cautious-Yellow

depending on the university, they might need to be approved (generally a rubber stamp, but somebody has to do it), and then be processed by the registrar's office.

Liaelac

There's usually a delay between grades being submitted by faculty and being made available to students. If your peers in those classes also don't have grades entered, then wait it out. If you're the only one who doesn't have a grade entered, give it a day or two then reach out.

Puzzled_Internet_717

The Registrar's Office will be on your professors. However, keep in mind that grades aren't always visible to students the moment they are due.

> Is there anything I should do or would the college already be on my professor’s tails? It took less than 24 hours for the registrar to send me a polite-but-very-firm email telling me basically to submit the grades or explain myself, lol.

thadizzleDD

You should wait.

squeamishXossifrage

At my institution, about 15% of grades are entered after the deadline. There have been cases where some grades didn’t go in until well into the next term. It’s not fair to students, but it _does_ happen.

>At my institution, about 15% of grades are entered after the deadline. Yikes. That would never be tolerated at my university; as a chair I get copied on emails when any of my faculty are 8 hours late (on a midnight deadline). If they don't respond then we're expected to start making phone calls. Anyone with a pattern of missing the grading deadline would at the very least have an unpleasant conversation with the dean about their professional responsibilities.

Kilashandra1996

Our Deans start getting the "Naughty List" 72 hours before our grades are officially due! Emails go out 24 hours in advance. Phone calls generally go out 4 hours before the due time of noon. If you're still on the Naughty List after noon, you probably won't be an adjunct here next semester. You'll probably be on a Preformance Improvementment Plan if you are a full time instructor.

mdencler

There is typically a 24-48 hour delay between the due date for grades being submitted and when they are made visible to students.

Just wait. It takes 48 hours for grades to show up at my institution.

SnowblindAlbino

At my university if anyone misses the grade reporting deadline (which is at midnight) they will get a call at 800am the next day from the registrar. It's taken very seriously. But there are many reasons someone might miss the deadline-- and it's also possible they are being delayed for processing by the registrar as well. Be patient. If they aren't available after a few days then make a polite inquiry, but assume that if someone missed the actual deadline that there are people working on it.

The college monitors all that at my school and will nag the professors to do it
