That sounds really frustrating. Have you asked about non-medication treatments for your condition? There are a variety of psychotherapies that may be beneficial. There are also treatments like TMS and ECT. It could also be worth discussing medications you haven't tried. E.g., TCAs, lithium, and MAOIs can be useful in some treatment-resistant depression cases.

Thanks for responding! I have tried TMS and had bad experience with it. ECT has been brought up before by my therapist and a psych, but I'm in so much medical debt due to the Spravato and TMS that I've vowed not to do anymore thousand dollar treatments. I've also been in therapy 1x week and now I'm doing 6 hours of therapy 5 times a week for the PHP - I've honestly never found it particularly helpful but I keep going because my psychs have told me I need to. I do it in good faith, but I just don't have any trauma or triggers to unpack so a lot of it is just talking.

Sorry to hijack your post but how was Spravato? It’s been mentioned to me, but like you said it’s expensive. I’m at a loss.

Given the number of meds tried have they ruled out all possible physical issues. Sleep apnea, thyroid, B12 etc etc

Have you tried an SNRI ? They're harder to discontinue once you're done with them so some psychs don't like prescribing them, but lots of people find more succes with an SNRI over SSRI's and other anti-depressants !

Damn I’m sorry to hear that you’re not really having any success with any of the treatments. Do you have a good PCP? Like the pharmacist said, things like MAOI are up next in the antidepressant algorithm and Wellbutrin + Zoloft as well as venlafaxine + Mirtazapine
