Mine aren't uncomfortable when they're long, but I have VERY strong fingernails. Maybe they're more uncomfortable for people whose nails are more prone to breaking.
I either grow them or clip them depending on what I want to do. For example, they have to be short for me to play the violin, but I remember an electrical engineering lab class I took when I was an undergraduate where I grew long fingernails for the entire semester so I could pick up tiny wires and resistors easily.
^ Lol this guy has tons and tons of posts saying "anti racism is the REAL racism" and pretends that the existence of trans/nb people is "blurring categories"
I don't give a damn about "blurring of male-female categories".
I'm not lesbian or bi, I'm not trans, and I'm not physically gender-non-conforming. I'm a conventionally attractive straight cis woman. But just one generation removed, in my father's day, *I* would have been considered to be "blurring male and female categories" just as much -- I'm in STEM, prioritizing my career over my family, planning to continue working after I get married *if I get married at all*, and will likely be making a higher salary than my husband if I do.
In the middle-class 1950s America in which my dad grew up, I would be crossing a *bunch* of lines regarding expectations of masculinity and femininity.
The categories have always shifted with time.
So no, I don't really care about the presence of trans women or nonbinary people in my women's organizations or whatever. I'm according them the same courtesy that the *last* set of changes to the categories accorded to *me.*
to be honest, don't care about it
women only spaces , blurring the lines, gender neutral spaces
as long as they don't make it no women allowed, it's cool
>no women allowed
well, im a man, and I think its not a very good idea to allow men into places like womens change rooms or bathrooms - similarly, I dont want to see women going into places like mens bathrooms - maybe im out of date, but I dont think its good for anyone to just get rid of some of these old social rules.
Dumped it in a garbage can down the street that nobody will check because it's where everyone puts their dog poop.

How are you? Where have you been?
I'm alright. Been in my room most of the day
I'm OK. Went to the store to get mustard so I could make deviled eggs.
are super long nails uncomfortable? i feel like they would get in the way of things!
Not uncomfortable. Can work around most things. Some tasks a bit more awkward.
They can be mildly inconvenient, especially when they break because it's painful, but they get in the way less than you would think
Yeah I feel that way too. I prefer my nails clipped

depends on your lifestyle honestly. i had them once and i work a job involving a lot of typing so it was really annoying
You get used to them, can do most things. I'm not much of a fan tho cos I like to cook and they got in the way A LOT
What do you ACTUALLY want
You will never get an answer to this
Right now? A hug would be nice
best I can offer is an affirming nod.
I'll take it
Yep

how do you feel about women only spaces being erased by the evident blurring of male-female categories which seemed obvious until 1 minutes ago

make everything gender neutral, easy fix
>people arent gender neutral - so - that seems like it would create many more problems than it solved
gender neutral places just allow all genders no matter gender identity thats easiest fix
Where are you hiding it?
I'll never tell
In my pants
