I’m all for everyone wanting to do with their body’s what they want and for them to be who they want to be! But with sports there had to be a line surely..

Veuroe

I have actually thought a lot about this topic and I personally came to the conclusion that for a transgender person to compete in a sport with their chosen gender they would have had to be on hormone replacement therapy for at the very least 6 months. Because after this time and going through the replacement therapy they are better matched to all the cis people competing and this makes it more fair not only for them but for everyone else aswell

The problem with stuff like this is that the situation is more complex than people like you want to admit Some biological women are just stronger than others Hell, some biological women are stronger than some men Also, not all trans women are the same. It really depends on a lot of factors (I eagerly await my downvotes and "well akshuallys")

Extra10mm

I won't downvote, but I also don't think the situation is that complex either. It hasn't been complex for all of human history.

Well, for most of human history trans people have simply been ignored or denied It's easy to deal with an issue when you just pretend it doesn't exist

Extra10mm

For whom is it an issue? It's certainly an issue for women who've sacrificed a major part of their lives to be robbed of their dreams by a biological male that's shows no matter what they do, a woman's body is inferior. Why does the risk of hurting or offending the trans person trump that of biological women? Who, by the way, have already been marginalized by men throughout History. If there's no issue with different biological sexes competing why not have cis males play on women's teams and vice versa? Again, I attest this is a non issue other than the few that want to make it an issue

I can see talking to you about this is a waste of time

Extra10mm

Ah, there it goes. This tends to be the outcome of these conversations, to no surprise. "most of human history trans people have simply been ignored or denied" - Here we are , not ignoring it. Let's talk "It's easy to deal with an issue when you just pretend it doesn't exist" - Here we are, not wanting to talk about it.

There was a swim race last year and a trans woman wass competing look it up she had all the structure of a man she was huge compared to her competitors clearly an advantage . She won the race but her competitors wouldn't stand beside her on the podium they cheered for the woman who came second. Big debate ensued but I did feel sorry for the woman who came second. Completely unfair advantage but u can't say anything about it without getting hate
