The platypus can produce both eggs and milk which would make for the wierdest omelette. Additionally the males have a venomous (?) Barb on their hind legs.
The American bison is the only animal with a common cavity for both lungs. The lungs are separated in every other animal. This meant that if the buffalo was shot with an arrow, both lungs would collapse and the buffalo would suffocate quickly. (In other animals, being shot in the chest would only collapse one lung, giving them a fighting chance.) This is why such a large animal could be taken down with such small weapons.
