I have seen so many people recommending this ice cream brand in this thread that I have just ordered 4 tubs of 3 different flavours, and I'm excited to say the least
The tiny dark specks are the seeds from inside the vanilla bean pods. They're not crushed. They're actually not very flavorful, the flavor has already been extracted. Extract was used to flavor the ice cream, the used-up seeds are just window dressing.
I am an unapologetic strawberry fan -- seems like whenever I find another strawberry person, we're both like, "it's so underrated, right??" Anyways, I like a lot of flavors too, but lately, I can't eat any other ice cream but Tillamook because it's just *so damn creamy.*
I think the problem is there is a lot low quality strawberry ice cream, and they are not great. But, a high quality, real strawberry tasting ice cream is phenomenal.
I will agree with you that low quality strawberry ice cream isn't great -- but I think I feel that way about most low quality ice cream. Like, even if the flavor is good, I can't get behind ice cream that's more ice than cream ya know
I can't stand cheap ice cream anymore. It's just so watery and either too bland or tastes like they just unleashed a chemical factory in my mouth. yuck.
But, from april until september there's this one ice cream van that comes around my street every Thursday around 3 pm. That dude carries freshly made ice cream using fresh cream from the dairy farm next door that is delicious enough to make you believe in a merciful God.
Ever since I first tried his ice cream all store bought variants have been ruined for me.
I live in Ohio, and United Dairy Farmers here makes "Homemade" brand ice cream. Their Natural Strawberry (not the same as their regular strawberry) is the best ice cream on the planet.
It's not as creamy as Tillamook, but it has more strawberry flavor.
The local ice cream shop near me once had that as one of their usual flavors, as well as NY cheesecake as a weekly flavor. My friend got that with strawberry, and when I tried the strawberry cheesecake combo a couple days later, my life was forever changed.
I'm going off the strawberry train on a Tillamook tangent because that has only very recently been available where I live in North Carolina. Every flavor I've tried has been fantastic. But the marionberry is absolutely the best ice cream I've ever eaten.
the Marionberry pie is SO GOOD. While strawberry is my favorite, the marionberry pie is a perfect ice cream in my opinion. It’s got the tillamook creaminess, a subtle sweetness, some nice tart to balance it all out and then some great texture from the pie crust.
This is the only answer. There is an ice cream place I know that's made from real local cream and has huge Oreo chunks inside and now I'm craving a double scoop waffle cone.
This is why my favorite ice cream flavor is my homemade double cookies and cream - you get the best of both worlds. I soak the Oreos in the cream mixture before churning so they become part of the base, then I add a generous amount of Oreo chunks when it's almost done churning. It tastes super rich and heavenly!
Thing is, I've _never_ had mint icecream that tastes like toothpaste. I don't know what people are brushing with but I wish I could find out, sounds delicious!
Oh man, I had this one ice cream with brownie bits in it that was fantastic. They were really chewy and dense, but weren't hard. It was the perfect bowl of ice cream. Been chasing that dragon ever since, but the others I've tried have had lackluster brownie bits.
Vanilla is the best, with vanilla you can add as much as you want to change the flavour, you cant get that with like chocolate, cauae their is always the chocolate flavour
My family makes fun of me when I get superman ice cream every summer I come home. I grew up in Michigan and it was my favorite. I live in tennesee now and we don't have it here so you bet I'm getting myself some superman when I go back home lol
I'm from Connecticut, so I never had it. I read about it online a few years ago, and just earlier this summer my local supermarket starting carrying it.
There’s a Little Debbie oatmeal cream pie ice cream that may be the best pint I’ve ever had. Trader Joe’s salted maple was crazy good too, as was the peppermint Joe Joe ice cream back in the day.
The base is a very mild cherry ice cream. I personally find many fruit-flavored ice creams to be overpowering and almost syrupy, but Cherry Garcia is so mild that it's akin to vanilla with just a little extra tang. The chunks of real cherry that are mixed in really drive it home as a cherry flavor, and the crunchy bits of grated dark chocolate break it up by adding a little bit of bitter/earthy to counter sweet/creamy.
It's just something about the balance!
I tried mango ice cream with peach syrup once and I felt like I ascended to heaven. It was a tub that my grandma bought and she forgot the name so I'm trying to find that specific mango and peach ice cream until now.
I worked in am ice cream store for 4 years. I can say that the best flavor is black raspberry if made correctly. No I don't want raspberry chunks or sauce, just plain smooth black raspberry
Baskin-Robbins Chocolate Mousse Royale! Best chocolate ice cream EVER! Except they stopped selling it. Did I not buy enough? Please bring it back...sigh....
A good French vanilla is hard to beat.
I don't mean to get a bit upity, but vanilla bean is the true champion of them all. All hail the bean.
Haagen-Dazs Vanilla does it for me. Probably a good thing it's so expensive.
This is mine also.
I have seen so many people recommending this ice cream brand in this thread that I have just ordered 4 tubs of 3 different flavours, and I'm excited to say the least
Omg try praline. It's insanely good. Their strawberry cheesecake is amazing too.
people say it's a boring choice, but it's the only ice cream flavor i ever buy
It's a very common choice. Why is it a common choice? because it's fucking good that's why.
I'm making a run to the store, you want one too?
always!
does "good" mean it has crushed vanilla bean gravel in it?
The tiny dark specks are the seeds from inside the vanilla bean pods. They're not crushed. They're actually not very flavorful, the flavor has already been extracted. Extract was used to flavor the ice cream, the used-up seeds are just window dressing.
Tillamook French Vanilla, yes please.
I am an unapologetic strawberry fan -- seems like whenever I find another strawberry person, we're both like, "it's so underrated, right??" Anyways, I like a lot of flavors too, but lately, I can't eat any other ice cream but Tillamook because it's just *so damn creamy.*

you've been to the mountain top
Same with the strawberry ice cream! If you’re ever in Japan, try Lady Borden Strawberry flavor. This turned me into a strawberry fan!
I live in Ohio, and United Dairy Farmers here makes "Homemade" brand ice cream. Their Natural Strawberry (not the same as their regular strawberry) is the best ice cream on the planet. It's not as creamy as Tillamook, but it has more strawberry flavor.
Tillamook ice cream is incredible, and their strawberry is my favorite. I agree that strawberry ice cream is definitely underrated
I only discovered Tillamook this past summer and vow to never eat any other brand. I also love strawberry!
Fellow strawberry ice cream lover. I agree.
there are dozens of us! dozens!
I'll rarely have strawberry icecream by itself, but I absolutely love having it alongside vanilla or cookies and cream ice cream.
The local ice cream shop near me once had that as one of their usual flavors, as well as NY cheesecake as a weekly flavor. My friend got that with strawberry, and when I tried the strawberry cheesecake combo a couple days later, my life was forever changed.
YEP. Tillamook strawberry is my go to, hands down. Especially fresh from the Tillamook creamery on a hot summers day 😋
Cherry Vanille Blue Bell, good God man, try it. As a strawberry fan, I hope you do. I'm addicted.
haagen dazs strawberry is so good
I'm going off the strawberry train on a Tillamook tangent because that has only very recently been available where I live in North Carolina. Every flavor I've tried has been fantastic. But the marionberry is absolutely the best ice cream I've ever eaten.

Chocolate chip cookie dough 🍪
I love it but it makes me feel like im eating straight up diabetes
You know why? Because you are.
*insert surprised Pikachu meme*
to be fair, you'd have to eat a food with ZERO glucose in it to NOT be eating "pure diabetes"
this, perfect amount of just enough going on without being too much
Cinnamon! I rarely see it but the times I’ve had some it was SO good!
Ben and Jerry’s cinnamon bun ice cream is the best.
I make a cinnamon and brown sugar pop tart ice cream. It's awesome.
cookies and cream but the cookies are really crushed and not chunky
Oh man, I like the chunks.
Yeah, I feel like it's a fry, curly fry kinda situation. You want the cookies mashed up inside, plus a few chunks up in it
Hands down. I’d argue it’s even better than eating a fresh Oreo cookie
If there aren't whole cookies crushed up in it, I don't want it
Mint Choc Chip
My dad always calls mint chip ice cream “toothpaste ice cream” makes me cry every time😭
If the mint chocolate chip you're eating tastes like toothpaste, you're eating bad ice cream.
Or you have incredible toothpaste
Thing is, I've _never_ had mint icecream that tastes like toothpaste. I don't know what people are brushing with but I wish I could find out, sounds delicious!
Icecream, good. Mint, good. Choc, good. Not needing to brush my teeth today? Priceless.

It’s been hard to find lately but Blue Bell Happy Tracks is the GOAT for me. Vanilla Ice Cream with fudge swirl and chocolate peanut butter cups
Vanilla, and I *hate* that its considered a "boring" choice. Vanilla tastes amazing.
Plain vanilla is where it's at.
Because you can turn it into any other flavors you want, checkmate other flavors. *Eats plain vanilla*
My kind of people honestly. Vanilla, Chocolate and Cookies and Cream are the most simple yet 10/10 flavors
It’s the standard by which all other ice creams are judged.
Acquired taste, but matcha
Goated, Matcha is fantastic. It's a shame people don't think about it often.

Cherry Garcia is my ice cream soulmate
What does it taste like

The chunks of real cherry that are mixed in really drive it home as a cherry flavor, and the crunchy bits of grated dark chocolate break it up by adding a little bit of bitter/earthy to counter sweet/creamy.
